Battlegrounds 4/12/08
I fought in 6 AV's with Wranngar today. 3 wins, 3 losses. I am done with AV until AV battleground weekend is over. There are up to 10 people AFK per battle and the most of the rest have no idea what they are doing, they are just there for the extra honor. 2 of the losses the Alliance turtled in Dun Baldar, and in the other the plan was to rush FWRH which works about 1 out of 10 times from what I see. Someone said the last battle would take hours, that should give you some idea how long it has been since they were in AV. With the reinforcements a battle that lasts 45 minutes is a long one. I think 2 out of 3 of the losses people went for Galv first. Even when everyone is telling them it won't work they are still going ahead and doing it. The really sad part is they will do the same thing in the next battle too. It's like no one cares anymore. The way it was set up before 2.4 it was really hard to win, now we could win every time if everyone worked together and followed one of the proven plans but the alliance has a really hard time working together. Going for Galv first when the Horde are defending IBGY and IBT is suicide because they pour into Galv's room and make sure you wipe. In one battle the plan was to rush FWGY, good plan, but at least 20 people went Galv and got wiped by the Horde then they said "See rushing FWGY doesn't work". Well if those 20 people had followed the plan and rushed FWGY it would have worked. It's called teamwork. Anyway when AV weekend is over and all the weekend warriors are gone I will go back in and hopefully we will be winning again.

Daily's 4/11/08
I made some serious gold on Wranngar and Gomorra today doing the daily's. I did most of them with Axeelina and another friend Heimdahl. I did my usual quests in Outlands, Gaining the Advantage, Blood for Blood and Blast the Gateway plus Ata'mal Armaments in Shadowmoon Valley and a new one called The Multiphase Survey in Nagrand. I also did my Shattered Sun Staging Area quests, Arm the Wards!, Further Conversions, The Battle Must Go On, Taking the Harbor, Making Ready, Know Your Key Lines, The Air Strikes Must Continue and Intercept the Reinforcements. I did most of these quests on both my 70's and made a combined 308g52s. Not bad for a couple hours :). I am going to try to do these quests on both characters every day, lol we'll see how that works out. And I still have about a dozen daily's I can do on each of them if I choose to but I like the battlegrounds and daily's take away from my battleground time :).
Battlegrounds 4/11/08
I did one Eye of the Storm on Wranngar. Axeelina was in that one with me too. We wanted to do something other than AV for a change. We won that one too by capping DR, MT & FRR, holding them and running the flag. After that we did some AV. The Alliance is still doing pretty bad in AV for some reason, about a 33% win rate. Axeelina was in 3 of them with me, 1 win and 2 losses. I did 18 total on Wranngar with 6 wins and 12 losses. There seems to be a "new" winning strategy people are pushing and that is rush FWRH. The reason that doesn't work is they want everyone to rush to FWRH, cap it, then kill Drek. One person said he won 9 games in a row doing this today. I don't believe it. The main problem with doing this is the towers are still up. If you have been following my posts you will know that each tower represents a Warmaster and +25% health for Drek. So by rushing FWRH and then killing Drek you are taking on Drek at 200% health with 4 Warmasters in the room with him. It is possible with all 40 people there I guess but not likely. The second problem with this is without FWGY the Horde are rezzing too close to Frostwolf Keep when they are defending Drek and there is just a constant flow of Horde coming into Forstwolf Keep. No, the strategy that is still working, when people follow the simple plan, is rush FWGY, capping Tower Point and Iceblood Tower on the way, and getting Drek after towers cap, then move in to FWRH after FWGY is secure and getting the towers. Then, with the 4 towers down, you can take on Drek at 100% health and no Warmasters. Not sure why the Alliance stopped doing that when it was working. The other thing that is a problem is not leaving enough people to guard FWGY. The Horde are coming back and reclaiming it about 7 out of 10 times because it is poorly guarded. You would think people would learn from this but they are not. As a matter of fact it seems the Alliance is not learning from any of their mistakes as they keep making the same one's over and over. In all 6 of our wins we rushed FWGY, although we did also capture IBGY a couple of those times, got the towers and Galv on the way, moved up to FWRH, Towers and killed Drek. In about 3/4 of the Horde wins they won on reinforcements. Another big problem is it is AV weekend so we are getting all the weekend warriors and a lot of AFK, roughly 6 or 7 a battle.

Daily Battleground 4/11/08
Today's daily battleground was Arathi Basin. I did it on Wranngar with Axeelina. We won the first one we were in. We started off with the Gold Mine, Stables and Lumber Mill. Then we lost the Gold Mine and captured the Blacksmith. After that we lost the Stables and captured the farm. Then there was a big fight for the Lumber Mill which we won and due to all the horde being at the Lumber Mill we were able to take the Gold Mine again. At that point we had a 4 cap going (4 out of 5) and the resources we adding up quickly, we won in a landslide. The daily battleground pays 11g99s and 413 honor, definetly worth the effort especially when you win your first one :).
