Daily Battleground 5/15/08
The daily battleground was Alterac Valley again. I did it on Wranngar and we won the second battle I was in. Altogether I was in 7 battles, 2 wins 5 losses. One of the big problems today was the number of AFKers. The other problem was just basic stupidity on the part of most of the players. There were a few battles where the Alliance went for Galv first, an almost guaranteed loss, and a couple others where they took and held SHGY at the start and we couldn't move forward. In the first battle we won the plan was to rush FWRH but only a few people actually followed it, another problem with the Alliance is they can't seem to work together. Anyway we got wiped at FWRH but managed to move up again and cap TP, IBT, IBGY, the East and West Frostwolf Towers, FWRH and finally killed Drek. In the second win the plan was to rush FWGY and most people actually folowed it. We capped the towers, relief hut and started on Drek around the same time the Horde started on Vann, we got Drek down first. The AFK problem is really out of control, I have attached a screenshot showing the AFK, they are the purple dots. Those are only the ones that were actually marked AFK and when they are in groups, like in the cave an GY, they look like one dot. Blizzard says they are doing something about the AFK problem but Blizzard says a lot of things. If anything the AFK problem is worse now than it ever was, good job Blizz. The daily battleground pays 11g99s and 419 honor.
