Sealed Vial of Poison

I got another Sealed Vial of Poison in my Bag of Fishing Treasures today. It was part of the reward I received for turning in Dangerously Delicious.

Sealed Vial of Poison starts a quest. It is a really simple quest and pays 13g23s.

You will need to right click on the Sealed Vial of Poison and accept the quest. Then all you have to do is go down into the Underbelly to the Black Market. The person you want to see in the Black Market is Alchemist Cinesra (63,11). He is located straight ahead at the end of the dock when you come in, you can't miss him. If you accepted the quest, as you should have by this point, he will have a big yellow ? over his head. You hand the Sealed Vial of Poison over to him and he gives you 13g23s, quest complete.

This literally only takes about half a minute to ride from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran to the Black Market and talk to Alchemist Cinesra and collect your 13g23s. This is one of the extras they throw in to make this daily more interesting, like the New Age Painting signed by Marcia Chase which sells to a vendor for 25 gold and the Stormjewels that go for 350-750 gold each on the auction house.

Spy Hunter

Spy Hunter is a daily you can do to build rep with The Sons of Hodir. You need to be honored with The Sons of Hodir to be able to pick up this quest. If you can't do daily's for The Sons of Hodir yet check out Unlocking The Sons of Hodir Daily's for information on how you can start.

You pick this quest up from the Frostworg Denmother at Dun Niffelem. She is located on the very bottom level in the northwest corner.

To complete this quest you must defeat 3 Stormforged Spies in the Valley of Ancient Winters. You are given a Ethereal Worg Fang to use at the Corpse of the Fallen Worg (57,64) in the Valley of Ancient Winters. To do this you just go to the Corpse of the Fallen Worg and right click on the Ethereal Worg Fang. An Ethereal Worg will appear to lead you to a Stormforged Spy.

You need to follow the Ethereal Worg around while it sniffs out a spy. It is a good idea to target your Ethereal Worg then set focus which will put it on your screen down below the party area. The reason for this is there are usually a lot of people around donig this at the same time and the Roaming Jormungar will attack you and your Ethereal Worg and you will end up losing your Worg. The way you set focus is to right click on the Ethereal Worg's portrait, when you have him targeted, and click on 'Set Focus'.

Eventually the Ethereal Worg will find a Stormforged Spy at which time he will stop and howl. This will cause the Stromforged Spy to appear and throw out some kind of threat like 'Time to die'. You kill him and get credit. You have to kill 3 Stormforged Spies to complete the quest.

When you have your 3 kills you turn this back in to the Forstworg Denmother for 13g23s and 350 rep with The Sons of Hodir. This is another easy quest that returns good gold and rep for very little time. You should plan on doing this one at the same time you do Polishing the Helm and Feeding Arngrim as they are all basically in the same area.

Good Luck :)

Eye of the Storm 5/29/09

Eye of the Storm was the daily battleground today. I picked it up in Dalaran on Wranngar. We won the first battle I was in with a 3 cap and some flag running. I stayed for 4 more battles, 3 wins and one loss.

In the first battle I was in we had a 3 cap going with DR, MT & FRR and a 4 cap going on and off with BET. We would get it and lose it, get it and lose it, but that is good, it kept all the Horde at BET fighting for it and we were able to hold the other 3 nodes without any trouble and run the flag.

The 3rd and 4th battles I was in we had a 4 cap. Not a Perfect Storm but a 4 cap none the less. We started with MT, DR and FRR in both battles and eventually got and held BET. We were running the flag in both those as well. The Alliance seemed to be doing pretty good up to that point.

In the 5th battle I was in you could tell nap time was over. We got slaughtered. Half the people didn't even get off the rock and were saying to just let them win. The Horde won on a 4 cap on that one but I fought throughout the entire battle anyway.

It seems like there is a certain time of day when the good PvP players stop playing and the kids and weekend warriors take over. I didn't check to see if EoS is this weekends battleground but I kind of doubt it is because the play in the first 4 battles was good, not the type of fighting you get from weekend warriors.

Feeding Arngrim

Feeding Arngrim is a daily you can do to earn rep with The Sons of Hodir. You have to be revered with The Sons of Hodir to be able to pick up this daily. If you don't have enough rep with The Sons of Hodir to do their daily's then check out Unlocking The Sons of Hodir Daily's to see how you can increase your rep with them. You pick this quest up from Arngrim's monument I guess you would call it.

For this quest you are given Arngrim's Tooth which you use to feed him. You will need to head to the Valley Ancient Winters which is due west of Dun Niffelem. There you will see these worms running around called Roaming Jormungar.

You have to throw Arngrim's Tooth at a Roaming Jormungar then beat up on it enough so it is docile. To do this you target the Roaming Jormungar then right click on the tooth. You will know when it is docile because you won't be able to hit it anymore. They are usually docile enough around 3k hp. Don't make the mistake I do and kill them before they go docile, you get nothing for that and can't even loot or skin them. You need to beat up on them gently :).

Once they are docile Arngrim comes out and eats them. You get credit for feeding him as soon as they go docile. You need to do this 5 times to complete the daily. I usually have to wait for the tooth to cool down before I can move on to the next one so this is a pretty quick quest, only takes a few minutes.

You turn this daily back in where you got it. It pays 13g23s and 350 rep with The Sons of Hodir. This is a quick and easy daily that gets you some good gold and good rep. You should plan on doing this one along with Polishing the Helm and Spy Hunter as they are in the same area.

Good Luck :)

Polishing the Helm

Polishing the Helm is a daily rep quest for The Sons of Hodir. You need to be friendly with The Sons of Hodir to get this daily. If you are not friendly with The Sons of Hodir check out this post Unlocking The Sons of Hodir Daily's.

You pick this quest up from the helm at Dun Niffelem. It is hung up and you need to fly up to get it. The objective of this quest is to get 5 Viscous Oil to polish Hodir's Helm with.

You get the Viscous Oil from the Viscous Oil Mobs inside the Hibernal Cavern (55,64). The Hibernal Cavern is located west of Dun Niffelem in the Valley Ancient Winters. If you are heading west from Dun Niffelem you will find it on the right side a little over half way through the valley. Viscoius Oil Mobs are the mobs in there that look like greenish blobs moving around. You need to kill them and loot the Viscous Oil from them.

Once you have the 5 Viscous Oil you need you can head back to Dun Niffelem to turn in. You turn this back in to Hodir's Helm. This quest pays 13g23s and 250 rep with The Sons of Hodir. Another fast and easy quest although, like all the others, it can take awhile if everyone is trying to do it at once. You should plan on doing this one along with Spy Hunter and Feeding Arngrim as they are all in the same area.

Good Luck :)

Daily Fishing - Jewel of the Sewers 5/29/09

Today the daily fishing quest from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran was Jewel Of The Sewers. This is a pretty fast and easy one.

I headed down into the sewers below Dalaran and went right over to my spot in the Black Market. I got a bunch of junk fish and vials but I got my piece of Corroded Jewelry on the 10th cast on Gomorra and the 7th cast on Wranngar. I am always hoping I will catch the Giant Sewer Rat one day while doing these but nothing yet.

I headed back up to turn the Corroded Jewelry in to Marcia for a Bag of Fishing Treasures.

Gom's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 9g1s4c, a Glow Worm and a Worthless Piece of Green Glass in it. Not a great return for him today.

Wrann's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 10g85s28c, 3 Northsea Pearls, a Battered Jungle Hat and 4 Deviate Fish. He made out a little better but he's not bragging.

The daily cooking quest from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, was Infused Mushroom Meatloaf. Another simple quest.

I headed down into the sewers in search of Infused Mushrooms and got all of them really fast, it was unbelievable, possibly the fastest run I have had to get these. When I had 4 on each I headed to the guild bank and grabbed some Chilled Meat to cook them up with. Once I had my meatloafs I headed over to see Orton Bennet upstairs at Curiosities and Moore. He gave me 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag for my trouble.

Gom's Small Spice Bag had 4 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award. He didn't make out too bad today, he will be able to buy some more recipes.

Wrann's Small Spice Bag had 5 Northern Spices in it, he didn't make out too bad either I guess as I am always looking for Northern Spices.

Blowing Hodir's Horn

Blowing Hodir's Horn is a daily which earns rep with The Sons of Hodir. You need to be friendly with The Sons of Hodir to be able to pick up this quest. If you are not yet friendly with The Sons of Hodir check out this post Unlocking The Sons of Hodir Daily's which will tell you how to get there.

You pick this quest up from Hodir's Horn in Dun Niffelem. You are given Hodir's Horn to use to complete this quest. The objective of this quest is to defeat 5 Niffelem Forefathers and 5 Restless Frostborn at Thunderfall, then blow Hodir's Horn over their corpses.

Thunderfall (71,49) is located northeast of where you pick up the quest in Dun Niffelem. You can't miss the Niffelem Forefathers, they are the giants walking around. The Restless Frostborn are the little guys walking around. The Restless Forstborn can be a pain as there are a lot of them and they are everywhere, you won't have any problem getting 5 of them. The giants are easy to pick out but, depending on how many people are doing it, it can take a little while to get 5.

Once you have killed either a Niffelem Forefather or Restless Forstborn you need to target the corpse then right click on Hodir's Horn in your inventory. Make sure to loot BEFORE you blow the horn as the corpse will disappear as soon as you blow it. You will see the spirit rise into the air and you will get credit for releasing one. I have one spot in my action bar that is hot keyed to my ` key and I put whatever quest item I need for the quest I am working on in it, it saves a lot of time.

Once you have credit for 5 of each you head back to Hodir's Horn and turn it in. This daily pays 13g23s and gives 250 rep with The Sons of Hodir. This is an easy quest and goes pretty quick when there are not a lot of people trying to do it at once. I live in the US and play on an Oceanic server so it is usually not too populated when I am on, this makes for less competition on the daily items.

Good Luck :)

A Couple Daily's

I only did the daily cooking and fishing again today due to time restrictions. I just haven't had much time lately.

The daily fishing quest from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran was Monsterbelly Appetite again. The daily cooking from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome was Infused Mushroom Meatloaf.

I started the cooking first, I headed down into the sewers to pick some Infused Mushrooms but gave up pretty quick when I saw how many people were trying to do it at the same time. I didn't even see an Infused Mushroom while I was down there. I decided to wait a little bit on that one and do the daily fishing first. This gives everyone a chance to get their mushrooms and get out of the sewers.

I took the flight path to Unu'pe then flew out to the iceberg's. I got my Bloated Monsterbelly on the first cast on both Wranngar and Gomorra. Having gotten those I flew back to Dalaran and took another shot at the daily cooking. It went better this time.

When I went down into the sewers this time there were only a couple people there and I got my Infused Mushrooms right away. I cooked them up with some Chilled Meat to make my Infused Mushroom Meatloafs. I delivered those to Orton Bennet upstairs at Curiosities and Moore in exchange for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag.

Gom's Small Spice Bag had 3 Northern Spices in it. He didn't make out too well on this one today.

Wrann's Small Spice Bag had 2 Northern Spices in it, he made out even worse than Gom if you can believe that.

I headed over to see Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange in Dalaran after that. I turned in the severed arms to her and she gave a couple Bags of Fishing Treasures for a reward. She is going to attempt to reunite the arm with the fisherman it was bitten off of. Good luck with that, it looked pretty much digested to me but I'm no doctor.

Wrann's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 8g19s69c, 2 Elixirs of Water Walking and 3 Worthless Pieces of Green Glass in it. Not the best haul for Wrann today but the Elixir of Water Walking do come in handy when you need to farm a lot of fish. It is so much easier to fish schools when you can walk on water. When you are getting the mats for Fish Feast you need to get a lot of fish. It takes 120 fish and 20 Northern Spices to make one stack of 20 Fish Feast.

Gom's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 6g62s73c, 4 Pygmy Oil, a Tower Key which I sold to a vendor for 16g66s66c and 3 Deviate Fish. Not a great haul for Gom either but at least he made a little gold off the key.

Daily Fishing and Stuff 5/26/09

I got on really late tonight and didn't have much time. I only did the daily fishing and cooking on both Wranngar and Gomorra.

I started with the daily cooking from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome which was Mustard Dogs!. That had me heading out in search of Wild Mustard around Dalaran. I got them pretty quick on both, probably because it was so late, and headed to the bank to get some Rhino Meat so I could cook up the Rhino Dogs I needed. I got a big surprise when I got to the bank, I was out of Rhino Meat.

I headed off to do the daily fishing from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran. Tonight she gave me Monsterbelly Appetite which had me heading over to Unu'pe to catch a Bloated Monsterbelly. I got one of my first cast on Gom and my second cast on Wrann. I flew from there over to Sholazar Basin to hunt some Rhino after that. I got 8 pieces in about 10 minutes, the reason it took so long was someone else had come through and killed all the Rhino's, there were none there when I got there. After they respawned I killed a bunch and got about a 50% drop rate on the 8 pieces of Rhino Meat I needed.

When I got back to Dalaran I cooked up the Rhino Dogs I needed which I then combined with the Wild Mustard to make my Mustard Dog Basket!. I delivered my baskets to Archmage Pentarus (68,41) at Krasus' Landing in exchange for 9g93s, 2 Dalaran Cooking Awards and a Small Spice Bag.

Gom's Small Spice Bag had 4 Northern Spices and 4 Baby Spice in it. Not a bad day for Gom but he's had better.

Wrann's Small Spice Bag had 3 Northern Spices in it, he has certainly had better days.

I handed in the severed Arm I got from the Bloated Mosnterbelly to Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange in Dalaran in exchange for a couple Bags of Fishing Treasures. She is going to attempt to reunite the arm with it's owner.

Wrann's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 8g32s52c, 4 Pygmy Oil and 2 Worthless Pieces of Orange Glass in it. Not a great haul for Wrann today.

Gom's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 9g18s24c, a Glow Worm, 3 Solid Gold Coins and a Runic Mana Potion. Not the best haul for Gom but he made out better than Wrann.

Hot and Cold

This is one of The Sons of Hodir daily rep quests. You pick up Hot and Cold from the Anvil you helped recover from Fjorn's Anvil when you were building your rep up to friendly with The Sons of Hodir. This is a relatively easy, if time consuming, quest. It is really a 2 part quest.

The first thing you need to do is loot Essence of Ice off the corpses of Brittle Revenants that you kill at Frostfield Lake. Frostfield Lake (69,59) is located east of where you pick up the quest. You need to get 5 Essence of Ice which will enable you to get the 5 pieces of Frozen Iron Scrap you need. I strongly suggest you get at least 6 Essence of Ice before you go on to the next part of the quest due to ninja's and two people hitting the same node at the same time. A lot of times you will lose one for one reason or another and it is better to have a spare than to have to go back and farm another one.

Once you have 5 (6) Essence of Ice you want to head over to Fjorn's Anvil for the next part of the quest. The entrance to this is located at the southeast end of Frostfield Lake (73,62). There you are going to want to use the Essence of Ice on the Smoldering Scraps found around Fjorn's Anvil. This will allow you to loot the Frozen Iron Scraps from them. The way you use the Essence of Ice is to right click on it while you are standing near a Smouldering Scrap. Sometimes it will go to the Smouldering Scrap you are standing right on top of and sometimes it will fly off in a random direction to another Smouldering Scrap, it is a crap shoot. This is where the misunderstandings can come in and you can lose a Essence of Ice. This is why it is a good idea to have an extra one along.

Once you have the 5 Frozen Iron Scraps you need you can head back and turn it in at the Anvil. The reward for this quest is 13g,23s and 250 reputation.

Good Luck :)

450 Fishing Skill - Gomorra

I got Gomorra's fishing skill to 450 this morning. I only needed 7 more points so I decided to go out and fish up some materials for some Fish Feast. I got enough mats to make 10 more by the time I hit 450 fishing skill. It takes 120 fish and 20 Northern Spices to make one stack of 20 Fish Feast. I was using Elixirs of Water Walking which just make it so much easier to fish schools. I still haven't checked to see what Fish Feast go for on the auction house since they stopped making them BoP but I bet it is a lot. Now I only need 4 more points in Tailoring and Gom will have all his primary and secondary skills maxed.

Fishing and Cooking 5/24/09

I only did the daily fishing and cooking again today. Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran had The Ghostfish for me today and Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome had Infused Mushroom Meatloaf.

I headed down into the sewers in search of Infused Mushrooms first, I figured I would get that one out of the way. I got all my Infused Mushrooms on Gomorra pretty quick but it took me a little longer on Wranngar. Eventually I had all I needed so I cooked them up with some Chilled Meat to get my meatloaf's. I delivered those to Orton Bennet upstairs at Curiosities and Moore in exchange for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag.

Gom's Small Spice Bag had 2 Northern Spices and 3 Old Spices in it while Wrann's had 4 Northern Spices in it. Neither of them made out well on this one today.

After that I headed over to Rivers Heart in Sholazar Basin to fish up the elusive Phantom Ghostfish. I flew to my spot right above and a little north west of the flight point and started fishing. Gom had a tough time today getting his, it took him 12 casts. Wrann got his on his 5th cast so he did a little better. You have to eat the Phantom Ghostfish as soon as you catch it or it will disappear. It only lasts one minute and it starts clocking as soon as you loot it. Eating it gives you the same effect Frodo got in the Lord of the Rings when he slipped on the ring. That lasts for 15 seconds I think.

I flew back to Dalaran to tell Marcia I knew the secret of The Ghostfish and she gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures for my troubles.

Wrann's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 7g8s59c, a Glow Worm, a Diamond-tipped Cane and a Runic Mana Potion, not the best haul for him.

Gom's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 9g51s7c, a Glow Worm, 2 Worthless Pieces of Red Glass and 2 Deviate Fish in it.

It has been awhile since I got anything good from this daily so I am due. I am hoping to get Jeweled Fishing Pole and the pets this one has to offer.

Gomorra 5/23/09

I did the daily fishing and cooking on Wranngar and Gomorra tonight. The daily fishing from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran was Dangerously Delicious again today (What a one to get stuck on) and the daily cooking from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome was Convention at the Legerdemain.

I headed over to One More Glass the wine and cheese shop in Dalaran to get a jug of wine. It spawned pretty quick for both and all I had left to do was cook each of them some Northern Stew. Once I had all the mats I needed I delivered them to Arille Azuregaze, the bartender at The Legerdemain in exchange for 9g93s a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag.

Gom's Small Spice Bag had 3 Northern Spices and 5 Old Spices in it, not the best return for him. Wrann's Small Spice Bag had 2 Northern Spices in it, as usual he got screwed.

I headed off to Wintergrasp next to catch some Terrorfish for Dangerously Delicious. There was one Rogue there that was trying to cause trouble but he gave up after a few deaths. I got the 10 Terrorfish I needed on both pretty quick and was on my way back to Dalaran to turn them in to Marcia Chase in exchange for a couple Bags of Fishing Treasures.

Wrann's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 10g8s86c, 3 Elixirs of Water Walking and 3 pieces of Worthless Green Glass. Just to give you an idea how worhtless they really are I sold all three of them to the vendor for 15 copper. Gom's Bag of Fishing Treausres had 7g26s19c, 5 Pygmy Oil and 2 pieces of Worthless Red Glass which, as we already know, are pretty worthless. Really not a great return on any of these daily's today.

5/24 A.M. - I did my daily's for The Sons of Hodir on Gomorra this morning. I did Blowing Hodir's Horn, Hot and Cold, Polishing the Helm, Spy Hunter and Feeding Arngrim. Those didn't take me very long and I made some decent gold off them which I sent to my banker.

Wranngar 5/22/09

I only did the daily cooking and fishing today and it felt good to skip all my other daily's again. The daily cooking from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome was Sewer Stew and the daily fishing from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran was Dangerously Delicious.

I took the crystal down to Crystalsong Forest then headed over to the ruins right under Dalaran to pick Crystalsong Carrots. There was no one around and it went really quick. Today I didn't remember to bring along any Chilled Meat so I had to wait until I got back to Dalaran before I could cook up my Vegetable Stew. When I got back to Dalaran I got my Chilled Meat out of the bank and cooked up my stews which I delivered to Ajay Green at the Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly in exchange for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag.

Gomorra's Small Spice Bag had 5 Northern Spices and 5 Old Spices in it. Not a great haul for Gom but not bad either as I have been doing a lot of cooking to make room in the meat tab in the guild bank and can always use the Northern Spices.

Wranngar's Small Spice Bag had 2 Northern Spices in it, he got screwed today.

I headed over to Wintergrasp to do the daily fishing when I got done picking Infused Mushrooms in Crystalsong Forest. I flew right to the flight point in Wintergrasp and fished right there in the Sunken Ring. The Horde controlled Wintergrasp at the time but there were none around to add any excitement to the daily fishing. I got the 10 Terrorfish I needed pretty quick, in less than 2 casts on Wrann and a little over 20 on Gom. When I had the 10 I needed I headed back and turned them over to Marcia Chase for a Bag of Fishing Treasures.

Gom's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 6g76s81c, 5 Pygmy Oil, 2 Worthless Pieces of Violet Glass, 2 Deviate Fish and 2 Runic Mana Potions. Gom made out pretty good today.

Wrann's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 8g32s14c, a Glow Worm, a Whale Statue and 3 Deviate Fish. Once again Wrann didn't make out as well.

Daily Cooking and Fishing 5/21/09

I only did the daily cooking and fishing today. I took a little break from the rest of the daily's.

I picked up the daily fishing quest from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran which was Jewel Of The Sewers. I headed down into the sewers and went right over to my spot in the Black Market to fish for the piece of Corroded Jewelry. There were a few other people there this time but it still went pretty quick. When I had my piece of Corroded Jewelry I turned it in to Marcia Chase for a Bag of Fishing Treasures.

Gomorra's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 7g92s44c, 5 Pygmy Oil, 4 Deviate Fish and a Stuffed Shark Head. I thought the Stuffed Shark Head might be worth something because that is the kind of thing they put a high vendor sell price on but I only got 1g75s for it. That was disappointing.

Wranngar made out a little better, his had 9g19s83c, a Glow Worm, 3 Deviate Fish and a Whale Statue which I sold to a vendor for 11 gold.

The daily cooking today was Convention at the Legerdemain. I picked that up from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome and headed over to One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop to get a jug of wine. Gom ran right in and found his upstairs, it took Wrann a little longer but he eventually found his downstairs. Once I had the wine jugs I needed I cooked up 4 Northern Stew and delivered it to Arille Azuregaze, the bartender at The Legerdemain in exchange for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag.

Gom's Small Spice Bag had 5 Northern Spices and 3 Baby Spice in it. Certainly nothing to write home about there.

Wrann's Small Spice Bag had 5 Northern Spices and 5 Baby Spice in it. Nothing to write home about there either.

I am still doing the daily cooking even though I have 450 cooking skill because Gom still needs recipes and Wrann needs about 65 more Dalaran Cooking Awards to get a Chef's Hat for the achievement.

Mythrara logged on for a little bit today, I hadn't seen them in awhile. I guess they were working on their Rogue on another server and got it to 80 and is now doing a lot of PvP. They were wondering why I don't PvP anymore and the reason is I just don't have the time anymore because I spend all my time doing daily's. When I take a break from the daily's I will be doing a lot of PvP. I was planning on taking July off from the daily's but it might even be sooner.

Daily's 5/20/09

I did all my daily's as usual today. The daily fishing quest from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran was Monsterbelly Appetite. I did that along with the daily cooking from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome which was Sewer Stew.

I took the crystal down to Crystalsong Forest then flew over to the ruins right under Dalaran to pick some Crystalsong Carrots for the daily cooking. That only took me a couple minutes on each. Gomorra remembered to bring along 4 Chilled Meat so he was able to cook his on the spot, Wranngar spaced out on the Chilled Meat and had to wait until he got back to Dalaran to cook his up.

I flew over to the flight point at Fordragon Hold and took public transportation over to Unu'pe to do the daily fishing. That went pretty quick on both and it wasn't long before I had my Bloated Monsterbelly on each. I headed back to Dalaran to turn in the severed arm, I retrieved from the Bloated Monsterbelly, to Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange in Dalaran and the Vegetable Stew to Ajay Green at the Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly.

My rewards for those were nothing out of the ordinary with the exception that Gom got Eternium Fishing Line from the daily fishing.

I did all my daily's for The Sons of Hodir on both Wrann and Gom but only did the Knights of the Ebon Blade on Gom. I am getting really sick of doing daily's and I think I am going to take July off from doing them. I will take a month and just play the game lol. All I ever do these day's in the time I have to play is daily's. I am exalted with The Sons of Hodir, Knights of the Ebon Blade and The Kalu'ak. I need to start doing daily's for the Oracles but will probably wait awhile before I start doing that. I should be pretty close to my gold goal by July which is the reason I have been doing all these dailys.

Daily's

I did a variety of daily's over the past week or so, the same stuff I usually do. There has been nothing out of the ordinary as far as rewards go.

Gomorra made his first 22 slot bag the other day, that gave him 2 more slots above the 20 slot bag it replaced. I also took out his Leatherworking bag and put another 20 slot bag in it's place. I really didn't need the Leatherworking bag on him as he is only a skinner, not a Leatherworker. That gave Gom a lot more slots, he went from 28 slots free on a good day to around 50 slots free on a good day.

Yesterday the daily fishing quest in Dalaran was Dangerously Delicious. I flew into Wintergrasp on Gom and got my 10 Terrorfish in about 5 minutes without any problem whatsoever. Later when I went back on Wranngar there were Horde right where you land in Wintergrasp. Evidently they figured, even though they lost the battle, they would get some easy kills off some people trying to fish. They should have just went home. After we slaughtered them we continued with our fishing with the ocassional interruption when one of the Horde, who just didn't seem to get it, would come over for some fun. We had some fun alright but I don't think he did lol.

Daily Fishing Quest - Northrend

The daily fishing quest from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran was Dangerously Delicious today. For this one you need to go into Wintergrasp and catch 10 Terrorfish. You are flagged for PvP (Player versus Player) the whole time you are in Wintergrasp.

I stuck to my original plan on Gomorra and took the flightpath to Fordragon Hold then flew over to the southeast corner of Wintergrasp where I got my 10 Terrorfish in less than 5 minutes. Instead of hearthing I decided to go see if I could find the flight path in Wintergrasp. I have it on Wranngar from fighting in there but have never fought in there on Gom. It took me a few minutes but I found it and flew back to Dalaran to turn in. We were in control of Wintergrasp at that time. I turned it in but didn't get anything great in my Bag of Fishing Treasures.

When it was time for Wranngar to do it I decided to fly right to the flight path in Wintergrasp and try fishing in the water right there. When I got there Wintergrasp was contested which means the Horde and Alliance were fighting over it. There were a lot of other people there fishing too but a lot of room so not really crowded. Around the time I got my 5th Terrorfish the Horde took control of Wintergrasp. I caught the last 5 I needed while the Horde controlled Wintergrasp, then flew back to Dalaran and turned in. Wrann didn't get anything worth mentioning in his Bag of Fishing Treasures either.

I would recommend, if you have the flight path, that you just fly right there and fish, if not, fly to Fordragon Hold and then fly over to the southeast corner of Wintergrasp to fish, then you can hearth out or go find the flight path. I didn't get the coords of the flight path but it is on the eastern side right near the GY.

Sealed Vial of Poison 5/14/09

I grabbed the daily fishing as soon as I logged on today. The one Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran had for me today was Blood Is Thicker.

I headed over to Unu'pe, then flew inland and killed a Marsh Caribou so I could get covered in blood. I headed back to the shore and jumped in the water to make a blood pool. Once I had that I fished it until I had my 5 Bloodtooth Frenzy, then I headed back to Dalaran and turned them in.

Wranngar's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 9g76s40c, 3 Elixirs of Water Walking and a Sealed Vial of Poison. The Sealed Vial of Poison starts a quest which is to go down into the sewers and give it to Alchemist Cinesra. That's it, quest over. It pays 13g23s and only takes a second :). Not a bad haul for Wrann today.

Gomorra's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 10g42s57c, 3 Pygmy Oil and 4 Solid Gold Coins. Gom didn't make out as well.

I did all my daily's for The Sons of Hodir and the Knights of the Ebon Blade after that. These pay pretty well and at the end of it all I was able to send 400g to the bank. My gold reserves are finally starting to get replenished.

Glacial Bag

I finally decided to get off my butt and level Gomorra's Tailoring to 445 so I could buy Pattern: Glacial Bag from The Sons of Hodir. This is a pattern for a 22 slot bag. You have to be exalted to buy the pattern from them and 445 Tailoring skill to learn it. It was only 4 gold to buy it but I hadn't yet because my Tailoring was only 442. I had to make 2 pairs of Ebonweave Gloves and a 20 slot bag to get the 3 points I needed. Once I had my Tailoring to 445 I flew over to The Sons of Hodir and picked it up. Unfortunately I had to use 8 pieces of my Ebonweave to make the gloves, which I am not too happy about, but I can make 2 more pieces in a couple days. If I hadn't used the Ebonweave I could have made Gomorra's first (22 slot) Glacial Bag tonight.

I also picked up Pattern: Abyssal Bag from the Knights of the Ebon Blade tonight. This is a 32 slot soul bag for Warlocks. I was looking at Tailoring on Thottbot the other day and saw a few patterns I could get but didn't have yet for some reason. This was one of them, it requires revered with the Knights of the Ebon Blade to purchase. It cost me 4 gold to buy this one. You need to have 435 Tailoring to learn this pattern.

I got Pattern: Emerald Bag from The Kalu'ak tonight too lol. Yeah I was really slacking on Gomorra. You must be revered with The Kalu'ak to purchase this and the cost is 4 gold. I got all the Leatherworking patterns on Wranngar as soon as they were available but didn't bother on Gomorra for some reason, probably sick of it all by the second time around. Anyway this is a 32 slot Herb bag, you need to have 435 Tailoring to learn this pattern.

Brieanna 5/11/09

I worked a little on my 36 hunter, Brieanna, tonight. I bet a lot of you didn't even know I had a hunter. I wouldn't be surprised, I haven't played her in quite a while. The first thing I did was get her upgraded to 20 slot bags and a 28 slot Leatherworking bag. Now that she has a little room I can quest and breath easy. I got bank slots for the 16 slot bags she used to have. You can never have too many bank slots.

I noticed she was thrown out of the guild she was in, I don't even remember the name of it lol. I will get her into BlackMoor Coven the next time Salintu is on.

I did a little bit of questing in Stranglethorn Vale. Well, not so much questing as getting used to playing her again. My Wolf was in a good mood until he realized I had thrown out all his food when I was re-arranging my bags, changed his whole outlook. He got to eat buff food after that so he got over it. I will try to play this one a little more often and see if I can get her leveled up.

I still have my Deathknight, Wrangar, to level too but he is in a part of Blades Edge Mountains that I am not really too fond of questing in. I will need to level him there before I can move on to Netherstorm.

Daily's 5/11/09

Today I was able to do the daily cooking and fishing at the same time. Kind of. The daily cooking today, from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, was Sewer Stew.

I took the portal or crystal or whatever you call it that you take down to Crystalsong Forest, then headed over and picked my Crystalsong Carrots. I made sure I grabbed 4 Chilled Meat from the guild bank before I left so I was able to make a fire and cook up my Vegetable Stew when I had my 4 carrots on Wranngar and Gomorra.

From there I headed over to Unu'pe to do the daily fishing quest I picked up from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran. Today it was Monsterbelly Appetite. I flew out to the icebergs and found a school of Monsterbelly to fish. I got my Bloated Monsterbelly on the first cast on Wranngar and the second cast on Gomorra.

I headed back to Dalaran to deliver my Vegetable Stew to Ajay Green at the Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly and the Severed Arm to Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange in Dalaran where she is going to attempt to reunite it with it's owner. The rewards for these were the usual, nothing special or out of the ordinary.

I did my daily's for The Sons of Hodir after that. I did them on both Wranngar and Gomorra. These go pretty quick, about a half hour on each, and pay pretty good. I get some good leather and meat from them too so I am not complaining at all. If you are interested in how to start doing the daily's for The Sons of Hodir check out this earlier post, Unlocking The Sons of Hodir Daily's.

I did all my daily's for the Knights of the Ebon Blade tonight. I picked up Leave Our Mark, Vile Like Fire! and Shoot 'Em Up from the Shadow Vault and From Their Corpses, Rise! and No Fly Zone from Death's Rise. I already had Intelligence Gathering that I was working on. I completed them all on both today for around 80 gold each. I am starting to build up my gold reserves after spending 8,000 gold on the Reins of the Grand Ice Mammoth.

Dangerously Delicious

I finally got Dangerously Delicious from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, for the daily fishing today. This one is by far the most dangerous of the daily fishing quests. For this quest you need to catch 10 Terrorfish and it seems the only place they can be found is in Wintergrasp, the Northrend PvP area.

I found a great spot that is set apart from the battleground area even though you get flagged as soon as you enter. You're in Wintergrasp, there's not much you can do about that, but I didn't see one single person while I was there. Wranngar can hold his own but it has been a looong time since I did any PvP on Gomorra.

I took the flight path to Fordragon Hold in Dragonblight. From there I flew southwest to the southeast corner of Wintergrasp. I flew over the Burning Cauldron and got dismounted for being in a no-fly zone but you get a parachute so it's not too bad. You want to try to land on the big piece of ice floating in the middle of the lake you are heading to. I missed on both Wranngar and Gomorra and ended up in the water but you should be able to do it :).

Once I got there I picked a spot right at the southeast end of the lake (77,70) and started fishing. From what I read you want to use a +100 lure even at maximum fishing. I didn't have any problem on Gom with his 422 fishing skill, +30 pole, +3 fishing line and +100 lure. That gave him a total of 555 fishing skill. It took me about 5 minutes on each to catch my 10 Terrorfish. Once I had my 10 Terrorfish I hearthed back to Dalaran and turned them in to Marcia Chase. The reward for this quest is a Bag of Fishing Treasures which can contain anything from pets to epic items to junk and anything in between.

So I had good luck in the southeast corner of Wintergrasp and got in and out on both without any PvP resistance. I did this during a time when we were in control of Wintergrasp, but where I was fishing I don't think it would have mattered if the Horde controlled it or even if we were in battle.

Update: I have had just as good luck flying into the Alliance flight point in Wintergrasp and fishing in the Sunken Ring right there. If you have the flight point it will be quicker and easier to just fly in, fish there, and fly out.

This was the last of the 5 daily fishing quests Marcia Chase had for me to do so when I turned these in on Gom and Wrann they both got the achievement Chasing Marcia.

Good Luck :)
