Sewer Stew - Daily Cooking 2/27/10

Today the daily cooking quest was Sewer Stew. I did it on Brieanna.

This had me taking the Violet Gate down to Crystalsong Forest to pick Crystalsong Carrots. Once again there was no one there so the picking went pretty quick, I was in and out of there in under 3 minutes. Once I had the 4 I needed I took the gate back up to Dalaran and headed over to the bank for some Chilled Meat. I built a fire in the middle of the bank and cooked up my stew.

I took the stew down to Ajay Green at the Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly and exchanged it for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 4 Northern Spices in it. A pretty average return on this one today.

Kalu'ak Fishing Dreby 2/26/10

Brieanna took part in the Kalu'ak Fishing Dreby today. It was the first fishing derby any of my characters had ever been in. The objective is to catch a Blacktip Shark and return to hand it in, in Dalaran, before anyone else.

The person holding the event says "You can catch a Blacktip Shark anywhere you catch Pygmy Suckerfish". I headed over to my spot in Sholazar Basin and it took me 40 minutes to catch my Blacktip Shark. I hearthed back to Dalaran and went to see the event organizer. Needless to say I wasn't the first one to hand one in, but I did get a consolation prize of a Bag of Fishing Treasures, so it wasn't for nothing.

The Bag of Fishing Treasures had 9g19s11c, 3 Pygmy Oil and a New Age Painting signed by Marcia Chase which I sold to a vendor for 25 gold. Not much of a reward for the 40 minutes I spent but it was still exciting to participate and I will probably do it again next week.

I also got Brieanna's fishing skill leveled up to 450 during the fishing derby today and that was worth it right there.

Daily Fishing - Blood is Thicker 2/26/10

Today when I went to see Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, she gave me Blood Is Thicker for my daily cooking quest. I did this one on Brieanna today.

This had me taking the flight path from Dalaran to Unu'pe in the Borean Tundra. Once there I flew inland until I found a Marsh Caribou to kill. Killing one of those, or any of the animals the Druids protect, gets you covered in blood. Once I was covered in blood I flew back to shore and jumped in, creating a blood pool. I fished the blood pool for Bloodtooth Frenzy, you need 5 for this quest. I got the 5 I needed in 2 casts, I got 2 the first cast and 3 the second.

With those in hand I flew back to Dalaran and went to see Marcia. I turned the Bloodtooth Frenzy over to her and she gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures for my trouble. Today my Bag of Fishing Treasures had 7g52s25c, a Glow Worm, a Battered Jungle Hat and 2 Deviate Fish in it. Not the best day of fishing for Brieanna today.

Infused Mushroom Meatloaf - Daily Cooking 2/26/10

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, had Infused Mushroom Meatloaf for me. I did this one on Brieanna today. I also sold 2 pieces of Chilled Meat to someone, for 5 gold, who was obviously doing this daily too. I guess they don't keep meat on hand for the daily. That can be expensive.

This had me heading down into the sewers to pick Infused Mushrooms. This went pretty quick today, I checked all my usual spots and found one in each. With Mushrooms in hand I headed back up to the bank to grab a couple pieces of Chilled Meat to make my meatloaf. I cooked it up right there in the bank then headed over to see Orton Bennet, upstairs at Curiosities and Moore. I gave him the meatloaf and he gave me 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 4 Northern Spices and 3 Old Spices in it. An ok haul today.

Daily Fishing - Monsterbelly Appetite 2/25/10

Today when I went to see Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, for my daily fishing quest, she gave me Monsterbelly Appetite. I did this one on Brieanna today.

This had me taking the flight path to Unu'pe in the Borean Tundra. One there I flew out to the icebergs you can see from the flight point. I turned on fish finding and flew around until I found a school of Deep Sea Monsterbelly, then fished that until I caught a Bloated Monsterbelly. When I opened that up I got the Severed Arm this quest is looking for.

I took the Severed Arm back to Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange in Dalaran and exchanged it for a Bag of Fishing Treasures. She is going to try to reunite the arm with the fisherman who lost it. Today my Bag of Fishing Treasures had 6g98s55c, 3 Pygmy Oil, a Whale Statue, which I sold to a vendor for 11 gold, and 4 Deviate Fish. Not the best day of fishing.

Convention at the Legerdemain - Daily Cooking 2/25/10

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, had Convention at the Legerdemain for Brieanna's daily cooking quest. This is a quick easy one but takes a lot of mats.

This had me running over to the bank for 4 pieces of Chilled Meat to make the 4 Northern Stew I needed. I cooked that up right in the bank. Then I was off to One More Glass for a Jug of Wine. Once I had the wine and stew I headed over to see Arille Azuregaze, the bartender at The Legerdemain and exchanged them for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 6 Northern Spices and 4 Old Spices in it. A pretty good haul today.

Uvuros

Brieanna tamed Uvuros tonight. Uvuros is a level 70 elite Core Hound found in Shadowmoon Valley. He is an exotic pet and as a Beastmaster Hunter you have to have the exotic pet talent to tame it. This is her second exotic pet. Her first was The Kurken, also a Core Hound. The Kurken is white and Uvuros is green. There is one more I need to finish out the set, the red one from Molten Core. She named Uvuros Labyrinth and The Kurken Nightmare. When she gets the red one from Molten Core it will be named Gatekeeper.

A friend, Leonvx, helped me tame Uvuros. He is a Priest and kept me bubbled and healed during the 20 seconds it takes to tame it. I love the Core Hounds as hunter pets, they have lava breath, and around 20,000 armor at level 80. They do some pretty nice damage. I need to level this one up now, it was a level 70 elite when I tamed it, now it is level 75. Any pet you tame jumps from whatever level they are to 5 levels below you assuming you are over 5 levels above it, if there is less than 5 levels difference it just stays the level it is. A hunter can tame a pet that is his/her level or lower.

Daily Fishing - The Ghostfish 2/24/10

Today I picked up The Ghostfish from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, for the daily cooking quest. This is an easy one but requires some travel time. This one actually requires the most travel time as you have to go the farthest to do it. I did this one on Brieanna today.

This one had me taking the flight path from Dalaran to River's Heart in Sholazar Basin. From there I flew up to my spot up top and a little northwest of the flight point. I got my Phantom Ghostfish in 7 casts today which was pretty good for Brieanna. Her fishing is coming along though, up to 400 skill now. I ate the fish as soon as I got it because it is on a 60 second timer and will disappear if you don't eat it. That gave me Invisibility for 15 seconds.

I hearthed back to Dalaran and told Marcia what I found out. She gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures for my efforts. Today it had 7g19s60c, 5 Pygmy Oil, 4 Deviate Fish and a Sealed Vial of Poison in it. Sealed Vial of Poison starts a quest. The quest is to deliver it to Alchemist Cinesra. He is located in the Black Market in the Underbelly. He gives you 13g23s for your trouble, not a bad deal.

Sewer Stew - Daily Cooking 2/24/10

This is a nice easy one and the only one you have to leave Dalaran to complete assuming you keep some meat on hand for the daily's, which you should.

Daily Fishing - Dangerously Delicious 2/22/10

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had Dangerously Delicious for Brieanna's daily fishing quest. This is a dangerous daily as you have to go into the combat zone and you are flagged for PvP.

I took the flight path from Dalaran to Wintergrasp and started fishing right next to where I landed. It didn't take me long at all to catch the 10 Terrorfish I needed and I didn't see any Horde the whole time I was there. There were a couple other people fishing at the same time and the Horde will only attack if they have you outnumbered at least 3 to 1 and there probably weren't that many around. We held Wintergrasp as usual.

Once I was done there I flew back to Dalaran and turned over the 10 Terrorfish to Marcia in exchange for a Bag of Fishing Treasures. Today it had 9g87s24c, 2 Elixirs of Water Walking and 2 Worthless Pieces of White Glass. Not the best day of fishing for Brieanna today but I can't complain, she has cleaned up on the daily fishing quests in Dalaran and Outlands.

Sewer Stew - Daily Cooking 2/22/10

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, had Sewer Stew for Brieanna's daily cooking quest. This is the only daily cooking quest you need to leave Dalaran for assuming you keep some meat on hand for the daily's.

This had me taking the Violet Gate down to Crystalsong Forest to pick Crystalsong Carrots. Once you gate down there you want to fly over until you are at the ruins directly beneath Dalaran. I had no problem getting my 4 carrots today, there was no one else there and they were everywhere. I took the gate back up to Dalaran and headed over to the bank for the 4 pieces of Chilled Meat I needed to cook them up with, then I built a fire and cooked my stew.
