Daily Fishing - Jewel of the Sewers 4/5/10

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had Jewel Of The Sewers for us. I did this one on Gomorra and Brieanna today.

This had me heading down to my spot in the sewers at the Black Market below Dalaran. I have one spot I go to for this daily and I always have good luck there. This is also the spot where Brieanna caught her Giant Sewer Rat. As usual I had pretty good luck there today, I got the piece of Corroded Jewelry I was after in less than 10 casts on each and was on my way back up to see Marcia. I traded her the Corroded Jewelry for a Bag of Fishing Treasures.

Today Brieanna's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 8g86s42c, a Glow Worm, a Blank Slate, which I had never gotten before, and 4 Deviate Fish.

Gomorra's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 9g85s72c, 2 Elixir of Water Walking, a New Age Painting signed by Marcia Chase that I sold to a vendor for 25 gold, and 2 Deviate Fish in it.

Mustard Dogs - Daily Cooking 4/5/10

Today when I went to see Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, she had Mustard Dogs! for us. I did it on Gomorra and Brieanna today.

The first place I looked for the Wild Mustard I needed was in the courtyard behind A Hero's Welcome, I got 2 there. I got the other 2 in grassy areas around Dalaran. When I had the 4 I needed I headed over to the bank to grab some Rhino Meat to make the Rhino Dogs. When I had those cooked up I combined them with the Wild Mustard to make a Mustard Dog Basket! which I took and delivered to Archmage Pentarus (68,41) at Krasus' Landing in exchange for 9g93s, 2 Dalaran Cooking Awards and a Small Spice Bag.

Today Gomorra's Small Spice Bag had 5 Northern Spices and 3 Old Spices in it. Not a bad day for him.

Brieanna's Small Spice Bag had 2 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it. She had a pretty good day too.

Convention at the Legerdemain - Daily Cooking 4/4/10

Today when I went to see Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, for the daily cooking quest, she had Convention at the Legerdemain for me. I did it on both Gomorra and Brieanna today.

This one had me running over to the bank for some Chilled Meat to make the Northern Stew this calls for, then I was off to One More Glass for the Jug of Wine I needed. Once I had the wine and stew I headed over and delivered them to Arille Azuregaze, the bartender at The Legerdemain in exchange for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag.

Today Brieanna's Small Spice Bag had 3 Northern Spices, 4 Old Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it. Not a bad haul for her today.

Gomorra's Small Spice Bag had 6 Northern Spices and 5 Baby Spice in it. Not a bad haul for him today either.

Sewer Stew - Daily Cooking 4/2/10

Today I got Sewer Stew for the daily cooking quest from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome. I did it on Gomorra and Brieanna today.

This had me taking the Violet Gate down to Crystal Song Forest to pick the 4 Crystalsong Carrots this recipe calls for. You pick them by the old ruins located directly below Dalaran. There was no one there today so it didn't take me long to get all I needed. Once I had those I took the Violet Gate back up to Dalaran and headed over to the bank to grab the 4 pieces of Chilled Meat this recipe calls for. I built a fire and cooked those into a Vegetable Stew.

I took the Vegetable Stew down to Ajay Green at the Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly and exchanged it for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag.

Today Gomorra's Small Spice Bag had 4 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it. Not a bad haul for Gom today.

Brieanna's Small Spice Bag had 3 Northern Spices and 3 Old Spices in it, she didn't make out as well today.

Cheese for Glowergold - Daily Cooking 4/1/10

Today when I went to see Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, she had Cheese for Glowergold for the daily cooking. I did it on Gomorra and Brieanna.

This one had me running around Dalaran picking up Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses. I got a few of them before I left A Hero's Welcome and the rest at Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly and One More Glass. I also got the piece of Aged Dalaran Limburger I needed at One More Glass. Once I had 6 Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses and the piece of Aged Dalaran Limburger I combined them to make a Wine and Cheese Platter.

I took the Wine and Cheese Platter over to Ranid Glowergold (36,28) at the Leatherworkers in the Magus Commerce Exchange and exchanged it for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag.

Today Brieanna's Small Spice Bag had 6 Northern Spices and 4 Old Spices in it, not a bad haul for her today.

Gomorra's Small Spice Bag had 4 Northern Spices in it, he didn't make out as well as Brieanna but not a bad day for him either.

Daily Fishing - Blood is Thicker 3/29/10

Today when I went to see Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, I got Blood Is Thicker for the daily fishing. I did this one on Gomorra and Brieanna.

This had me taking the flight path from Dalaran to Unu'pe in the Borean Tundra. Once there I flew straight inland until I spotted a Marsh Caribou. I quickly killed that which got me covered in blood. They seem to have fixed the glitch that was going on with this daily, you now don't need to just about beat it to death with your bare hands to get covered in blood. Covered in blood I flew back to the shore and jumped in, creating a blood pool. I fished in the blood pool until I caught 5 Bloodtooth Frenzy which was only 2 catches as you get 2 or 3 in a catch.

I hearthed back to Dalaran and went to see Marcia and traded her the Bloodtooth Frenzy for a Bag of Fishing Treasures.

Today Gomorra's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 10g67s10c, a Glow Worm and a Velociraptor Skull in it. Not a good day of fishing for Gom.

Brieanna's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 8g67s67c, 5 Pygmy Oil and 5 Solid Gold Coins in it. She made out better than Gom but not by much.

Sewer Stew - Daily Cooking 3/29/10

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, had sewer stew for the daily cooking quest. I did it on both Gomorra and Brieanna.

This had me taking the Violet Gate down to Crystalsong Forest, then heading over to the ruins directly beneath Dalaran to pick Crystalsong Carrots. There was no one there again today so the picking went pretty quick, as fast as I could run around and pick them. Once I had the 4 I needed I headed back up to Dalaran, though the Violet Gate, and hit the bank for 4 pieces of Chilled Meat. I built a fire and cooked my stew right there in the bank.

With stew in hand I headed down into the sewers to see Ajay Green at the Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly, where I exchanged it for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag. I recently changed my heartstone from Cantrips and Crows Tavern to A Hero's Welcome because I saw no reason to hearth into the sewer then run up top every time, it was just wasted time.

Today Brieanna's Small Spice Bag had 4 Northern Spices, 4 Old Spices and 3 Baby Spice in it. Not a bad haul for Brieanna today.

Gomorra's Small Spice Bag had 3 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it. He didn't make out as well today.

Daily Fishing - Jewel of the Sewers 3/27/10

Today when I went to see Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, she had Jewel Of The Sewers for me. I like this one because you don't have to leave Dalaran to complete it, no time wasted traveling. I did this on both Gomorra and Brieanna today.

I headed down into the sewers to my spot at the Black Market and started fishing for the piece of Corroded Jewelry I was after. I always fish in the Black Market, there is never anyone else there when I am. If you have ever fished in WoW you know that the bobber makes a noise when it bobs. If you get too many people fishing close together it can get confusing, that's why I like my spot in the Black Market. It didn't take me long to get the piece of Corroded Jewerly and I was on my way back to see Marcia.

I traded her the piece of Corroded Jewelry for a Bag of Fishing Treasures.

Today Gomorra's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 6g85s81c, 5 Pygmy Oil and a Worthless Piece of White Glass in it. Not a great haul for Gom.

Brieanna's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 8g71s98c, 3 Elixirs of Water Walking, 3 Solid Gold Coins and 4 Deviate Fish in it. She didn't make out much better today.

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, had Convention at the Legerdemain for me. This is a fast, easy one that uses a lot of my mats. I did this one on Gomorra and Brieanna today.

This first thing I did, after I picked up this quest, was run over to the bank to grab 4 pieces of Chilled Meat to make the 4 Northern Stew I needed. I built a fire and cooked that up right in the bank. From there I headed over to One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop in Dalaran, for a Jug of Wine. I found that pretty quick today on both.

After that all I had to do was run across the street to see Arille Azuregaze, the bartender at The Legerdemain, and exchange the wine and stew for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag.

Today Brieanna's Small Spice Bag had 3 Northern Spices and 3 Old Spices in it. That was an Ok haul for her today.

Gomorra's Small Spice Bag had 3 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it. He made out a little better than Brieanna did today.

Kalu'ak Fishing Dreby 3/26/10

I entered the Kalu'ak Fishing Derby today on Wranngar. I should have done it on Brieanna, she has a lot better luck fishing.

This time I figured I would save some travel time and fish for the Blacktip Shark in Crystalsong Forest instead of going all the way to Sholazar Basin. I started out close to 10 minutes late, I just happened to hearth to Dalaran and saw the fishing promoter standing there. I fished for a full 50 minutes and didn't catch a Blacktip Shark.

The last time I entered, about a month ago on Brieanna, I got a Blacktip Shark after fishing for about 45 minutes in Sholazar Basin, maybe I should have headed there again. You can catch a Blacktip Shark anywhere you catch Pygmy Suckerfish, and I caught about 30 in Crystalsong Forest today so I know it is possible to catch one there. Even if you are not the first one to hand in a Blacktip Shark, you still get a consolation prize of a Bag of Fishing Treasures. That would have been fine by me but I didn't even get that today.

I will have to set up some kind of an alarm for the future so I don't miss this again, I would like to win this one or at least get the consolation prize again lol.

Daily Fishing - Blood is Thicker 3/26/10

Today when I went to see what Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had for me I ended up with Blood Is Thicker. I did this one on both Wranngar and Brieanna today.

This had me taking the flight path from Dalaran to Unu'pe in the Borean Tundra. Once there I flew straight inland until I found some Marsh Caribou. This quest requires that you get covered in blood and killing any of the animals the Druids protect will do that. I killed one and got covered in blood then headed back to shore where I jumped in, washing the blood off and creating a blood pool. I fished in the blood pool until I caught 5 Bloodtooth Frenzy, that is what this quest is looking for.

Once I had my 5 Bloodtooth Frenzy I headed back to Dalaran and went to see Marcia. I traded her the Bloodtooth Frenzy for a Bag of Fishing Treasures.

Today Wranngar's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 7g28s71c, 4 Pygmy Oil, 2 Worthless Pieces of Orange Glass and 2 Deviate Fish in it. Hardly worth the trip to Unu'pe.

Brieanna's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 10g24s35c, 4 Pygmy Oil, 5 Solid Gold Coins and 2 Runic Mana Potions in it. She made out a little better than Wrann but not by much.

Cheese for Glowergold - Daily Cooking 3/26/10

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, had Cheese for Glowergold for the daily cooking quest. Today I did it on Wranngar and Brieanna.

This is a pretty easy one, although I find the Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses a little hard to target. I got quite a few of them before I even left A Hero's Welcome today. I got the others between Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly and One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop. I also picked up the piece of Aged Dalaran Limburger I needed while I was at One More Glass. Once I had all the Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses and the cheese I combined them on the platter to make a wine and cheese platter.

I took that over to Ranid Glowergold (36,28) at the Leatherworkers in the Magus Commerce Exchange and exchanged it for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag.

Disarmed

I got the new daily fishing quest when I went to see Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran today. This is actually a new version of an old daily, Disarmed is replacing Monsterbelly Appetite.

The story behind this is, a guard at the Dalaran Prison, better know as Violet Hold, had his arm ripped off by an unruly inmate and tossed into the water outside the prison gate. You need to fish up that arm. You want to fish right across from the entrance to the Violet Hold Instance (65,60). There is a little 'dock' there you can fish from. What you are looking to catch is a Bloated Slippery Eel. This is very similar to Monsterbelly Appetite in you have to open the Bloated Slippery Eel to find the Severed Arm inside. Once you have the Severed Arm you take it to Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange, where she is going to attempt to reunite it with the guard. You get the usual reward of a Bag of Fishing Treasures which can have any number of great things inside or, possibly, just junk.

All in all I think this is a great improvement over Monsterbelly Appetite as there is no travel time involved. You get the quest from Marcia, run just about next door to where she is standing, and fish for your Bloated Slippery Eel. It couldn't be easier or faster.
