Alterac Valley Round II 4/27/08

I went back in on Wranngar and fought in 4 more battles in Alterac Valley tonight. We had 1 win and 3 losses. Quite a change from earlier but that's how it goes. You need to catch it at the right time of day with the right people on and it goes a lot smoother. The last battle I was in was a complete turtle in Dun Baldar. One of the other battles I got in half way through and they were pretty well bottled up in DB. I went forward and helped capture IBT for a little honor anyway. We got IBGY too not that it did any good, it was all over shortly after that. In the other battle we lost we were on Drek with one tower still up and the Horde were on Vann with one tower still up. They got Vann down before we could get Drek down. In the one we ended up winning we rushed FWRH and got those towers and FWGY while others behind got IBGY, IBT and TP. We had some pretty good defense going and could wait for the towers to come down before we took down Drek. When we had everything capped we went in and took out Drek, it went smooth and easy with no Warmaster's or Horde in there to interfere.

Daily's Wranngar 4/27/08

I did my Shattered Sun Daily's and Gaining the Advantage on Wranngar. It didn't take me long at all and I made another 125g counting my daily battleground. I have been spending most of my time in the battlegrounds lately but I need to get back into doing all my daily's.

BlackMoor Coven 4/27/08

I finally broke down and got a guild vault for the guild. I was saving for my 300 riding lessons for Wranngar and Gomorra but I got 300 riding on Wranngar so I figured it was time to invest the 100 gold to get the first tab. A few people had asked me about it and I kept saying it was on my list but somehow I never got to it lol.

Alterac Valley 4/27/08

I fought in 6 AV's today on Wranngar. We were doing pretty good, we had 5 wins and 1 loss. Some of the battles we close but we pulled it off by killing Drek. We didn't win any on reinforcements today, got them all by downing Drek. We used a couple different tactics today, one was rush FWGY while capping towers and get Galv after towers cap. Another one that was working was rush IBGY, cap towers, get Galv and then move on to FWGY, FWRH, Towers and Drek. We also did one rush FWRH that actually worked but it seems to be mostly luck when that one works. Usually TP & IBT never get capped so we are looking at tanking Drek with 2 towers up. But this time it worked great, some stopped off and got the towers on the way, we rushed FWRH, got the FW Towers and moved on to Drek. The game we lost was a classic Alliance turtle at Dun Baldar. You can't win them all but I was very impressed with how the Alliance was playing today, both in AV & EoS.

Daily Battleground 4/27/08

The daily battleground today was Eye of the Storm. We won the first one I was in and I had such a good time I went back for more. We had some really good groups for some of the battles and some pretty bad ones for others. I ended up doing 9 battles on Wranngar, 4 wins and 5 losses. In the battles we won we had at least a 3 cap going and were running the flag. I was trading off capturing the flag with another Druid, when he capped I would be at the base waiting for the flag to respawn, then I would grab it, run it to a node and cap it and he would be waiting for respawn. I capped 4, he capped 5. I got 11g99s and 419 honor for this quest.

Daily's Gomorra 4/27/08

I did the same daily's today on Gomorra that I did yesterday, everything in Shattered Sun. I might log onto Wranngar later and do the ones I do on him, not sure. I made about 92g95s on Gomorra's daily's.

Battlegrounds 4/26/08

I did a bunch of battles in AV and WSG today. I did them on Wranngar. I had to do 6 WSG before we finally got a win and I could get my daily done. I was doing AV in between and after WSG. I fought in 17 battles, 5 wins and 12 losses. Definitely not a good day for the Alliance. We won 2 of our battles on reinforcements and the rest we won by killing Drek. Getting Galv first was tried too many times and it just doesn't work but people keep doing it anyway. It is AV weekend this weekend so all the weekend warriors are out in the battlegrounds for the extra honor. Some of the battles were pretty good, a lot of good fighting. I tanked Drek in one of our wins but didn't have good heals. I died the first time when he was around 60%, rezz'd at FWRH, came back in and he was at 43% so I started tanking him again and we got him to under 10% before he killed me again. They finished him off before I rezz'd. I am surprised how many people are calling for rushing Drek. They want all 40 to ride to Drek and zerg him. That is how it was done pre-2.3. Now with the towers and reinforcements it's just not possible. A couple strats that seem to be working are rush IBGY and rush FWGY. As usual when rushing FWGY the Alliance never leave enough people to defend it so we end up losing it. We lose it almost every time but people never learn. FWGY needs to be defended because the Horde will always come back for it.

Daily's Gomorra 4/26/08

I got on Gomorra and did the daily's in Shattered Sun tonight. I did all the quests there and made 92g95s. That brings my total for today to 260g42s. Not my best day but not too bad.

Daily Battleground 4/26/08

I did the daily battleground on Wranngar today. It was WSG. Have I ever mentioned I hate WSG? It took 6 battles to get a win, or I should say a good group. In the 5 battles we lost the Horde really beat us in most of them, and a couple were close. Almost all of them were long battles. We finally ended up winning in a shutout, 3/0. I ran the flag a few times in a few of the battles but there was no flag support and every little effort being put into the first 5 battles I was in. Anyway it's over and hopefully it will be awhile before it comes up again. I got 11g99s and 419 honor from this quest.

Daily's Wranngar 4/26/08

I did a bunch of daily's on Wranngar today. I did the daily cooking quest but I didn't get a recipe :(. I did all my Shattered Sun quests and the Throne of Kil'Jaeden along with Nagrand and Shadowmoon Valley. All together on Wranngar I made 167g47s on daily's today. Now I will do them again a little later on Gomorra. After I did the daily's on Wranngar I did some battlegrounds trying to get the daily battleground done which happens to be WSG. I hate WSG. So far 5 losses and my daily battleground still isn't done :(. I will keep trying.

Daily's 4/25/08

I have been really bad with my daily's lately. I did a few today on both Wranngar and Gomorra but not too many, I only made around 47g :(. I will have to really get back on them and pick up a few more too. I really want to get my 300 riding skill on Gomorra now so I can get him on an epic flying mount.

Daily Battleground 4/25/08

Today's daily battleground was Alterac Valley. I won the first one I was in on Wranngar then did another 16. We one won 2 more for a total of 3 wins and 14 losses. Not a good day for the Alliance in AV at all. People just didn't seem to be motivated. I also think it is AV weekend again and that pulls everyone in. Anyway most battles we didn't even get any of the Frostwolf Towers or FWRH. In a few battles we lost at Drek while we were trying to bring him down. In a few of the battles the Alliance just seemed to stall in the IBT/IBGY area and hung out there fighting Horde. I got tangled up in one battle where the plan was to charge Drek and take him down without taking any towers. That didn't work out well. Each tower represents a Warmaster and +25% health to Drek. When there are 4 towers up there are 4 Warmasters in with Drek who is also at 200% health. Not an easy task. We had a couple battles where everyone turtled at either Dun Baldar or Stonehearth GY. In the battles we did win we took IBGY and as soon as that was claimed we started on the towers while a large group moved forward to FWGY and FW. We got the towers, FWRH and FW Towers and killed Drek. In all of our wins we killed Drek, we didn't have any wins on reinforcements today.

Battlegrounds 4/24/08

I did a bunch of battlegrounds today on Wranngar. I did 4 AB's, 2 wins and 2 losses, AB was my daily. I did 14 AV's, 7 wins and 7 losses. What seems to be working in AV now is either the FWGY approach or IBGY. Rushing FWRH isn't working because the Horde get on us so bad when we do that we are unable to go back and get the other towers and then we can't kill Drek with 2 Warmasters and a room full or Horde. I tanked Drek on a couple of our wins and tanked Galv a few times. 2 of the battles we won on reinforcements and more than a few the Horde won on reinforcements. The get Galv first strat never seems to work and the Horde are onto the rush FWRH strat so they are wiating for us on that one. The last game I was in the Horde had so many on D at Frostwolf that they couldn't take down Vann after they had the towers down and won on reinforcements after having the towers down for over 5 minutes.
