Warcraft Blog 1/30/09

I got the Dalaran daily cooking done on Wranngar which was Infused Mushroom Meatloaf. I headed down into the sewers for some Infused Mushroom's also know as sewer mushrooms, and spent a little time getting the 4 I needed. There had to have been no less that 20 people down there picking mushrooms. It took a little bit but I got the 4 I needed and headed to the guild bank to get 2 Chilled Meat to cook up with them. Once I had my Infused Mushroom Meatloaf I delivered it and got my 9g93s, Dalaran Cooking Award and Small Spice Bag. My Small Spice Bag had 4 Northern Spices and 5 Baby Spice, not a bad haul.I went and talked to The Rokk, (61,15) in Shattrath, but I didn't like what he had to offer so I skipped the Outlands cooking but did the daily fishing quest for Old Man Barlo, (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest. It was Bait Bandits. I headed over to my spot at the waterfall near Tuurem (52,37) and got my Blackfin Darter on the 12th cast. I turned that in for my Bag of Fishing Treasures and got 7g15s65c, 5 Sharpened Fish Hooks and a Piece of Polished Driftwood. I cooked up the extra fish I caught and put them in the guild bank for anyone who wants them.

Warcraft Blog 1/29/09

I did the daily cooking in Dalaran on Wranngar tonight, it was Convention at the Legerdemain. I grabbed 4 Northern Stew out of the guild bank and headed over to the wine shop for a jug of wine. Once I had that I handed it in and got my 9g93s, Dalaran Cooking Award and 4 Northern Spices. I have about 3/4 of a stack of Northern Spices in the bank now. I headed over to see what The Rokk, (61,15) in Shattrath, had for me and he had Revenge is Tasty. From there I headed over to Old Man Barlo, (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, and picked up Shrimpin' Ain't Easy. I was happy to get that one because I hadn't seen it since the expansion and I needed it for an Achievement. I flew over to my spot at Umbrafen Lake (78,74) in Zangarmarsh and got the 10 Giant Freshwater Shrimp I needed pretty quick and handed in. My Bag of Fishing Treasures had 6g49s91c, 6 Sharpened Fish Hooks and a Broken Spyglass. Not the best haul I have gotten from this daily. I headed over to Skettis after that and got my wing on the first kill. I took that and 3 Warp Burgers and made Kaliri Stew which I handed in to The Rokk. I picked Barrel of Fish and on top of the 75s I got for this quest I got 6 Furious Crawdad, 4 Spotted Feltail, 2 Huge Spotted Feltail and 2 Clean Fishbones. Not the best haul there either. I don't know why I continue to do this quest, there are really no rewards left for me and it only pay's 75 silver but I guess the meat comes in handy and they are quick and easy. I still have some good rewards to get from the daily fishing. Afterwards I wandered around a little and called it a night.

Wranngar 1/28/09 - Round II

I got back on Wranngar for a little while tonight. I did three more battlegrounds, Eye of the Storm, one win and two losses. The one that we won I got in about three seconds before it ended. I didn't get a mark of honor but I did get 248 honor. The other two were pretty bad, we held one tower in each and we had a tough time doing that. I looked into a couple top end enchants for my new Mace. One I like will run me about 1300 gold and the other will cost me about 350 gold. Not too hard a decision :). I will start gathering the mats tomorrow.

Wranngar 1/28/09

I played Wranngar for awhile today and got the daily cooking in Dalaran done. It was Mustard Dogs!. It went pretty quick and easy. I picked the Wild Mustard around Dalaran and found the 4 I needed really quick. After that I cooked it up with some Rhino Dogs to get my Mustard Dog Basket!. Once I had that I delivered it and got 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag. My Small Spice Bag had 3 Northern Spices and a Dalaran Cooking Award in it so that wasn't a bad haul. I used 3 Dalaran Cooking Award's to get Recipe: Very Burnt Worg. I still need to cook one to get it added to my Achievement list. I did a few battlegrounds, Alterac Valley was the daily and I fought in one. I got in towards the end when we had nothing and the Horde had everything. It was over pretty quick. I decided not to waste my time on that and did 3 Eye of the Storm, 2 wins and a loss. I also got Titansteel Destroyer today from the auction house. I paid 2,000 gold for it and it is worth every cent. I need to find someone to put Agility on it now.

Wranngar 1/27/09

I played Wranngar for a while tonight and got the daily cooking done in Dalaran. It was Convention at the Legerdemain again. I grabbed 4 Chilled Meat from the guild bank and cooked it up then ran over to the wine shop and grabbed a jug of wine. Once I had all that I delivered it and collected my 9g93s, Dalaran Cooking Award and Small Spice Bag. My Small Spice Bag had 4 Northern Spices in it. Not too bad. After that I did the daily cooking from The Rokk, (61,15) in Shattrath, which was Revenge is Tasty. I got my wing on the 3rd kill and cooked it up with 3 Warp Burgers. I turned that in and got 75s, 11 Figluster's Mudfish and a Silver Hook. From there I went over to Old Man Barlo, (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, and got the daily fishing quest which was The One That Got Away. I got my World's Largest Mudfish on the 18th cast but I got a bunch of other good fish in the process too. I turned that in and got 7g31s75c, 4 Sharpened Fish Hooks and a Piece of Polished Driftwood. After that I went to Ironforge and made 8 pieces of leather armor for someone using their mats. I didn't have the pattern but they did and they gave it to me for making the armor. I told them I would give them a few gold for it but they said making the armor was enough. It was a level 26 item but a pattern I didn't have.

Wranngar 1/26/09 - II

I got back on Wranngar tonight and did some battlegrounds. I did 2 Strand of the Ancients, both losses, and 3 more Eye of the Storm, 2 wins and 1 loss. The group in Strand of the Ancients was pretty bad in both battles, we got slaughtered. In the Eye of the Storm we had a good group for 2 of the battles and then a pretty poor one for the third battle which we lost. In the first 2 battles we ended up with 4 towers at the end of the battle. In the 3rd battle we started out with 3 towers and ended up with 1. We had 2 people defending that tower, 10 people trying for the flag, 2 people fighting on the road and one AFK. All in all a pretty bad group. On the plus side I got a Black Battlestrider tonight with some of the marks of honor I have. I really like it. It looks way too small for me, like a compact mount :).

I played Wranngar for awhile and did the daily battleground which was Eye of the Storm. We won the first one I was in pretty easily, we had 4 towers at the end. When the daily's rolled over I did the daily cooking in Dalaran which was Convention at the Legerdemain. I grabbed 4 Chilled Meat out of the guild bank and cooked them up then I headed over to the wine and cheese shop and grabbed a jug of wine. I turned that in and got my 9g93s, Dalaran Cooking Award and Small Spice Bag. My Small Spice Bag had 3 Northern Spices, 3 Old Spices and 3 Baby Spice. Not a bad haul. The important thing is I got the Dalaran Cooking Award I needed to get Recipe: Fish Feast. I had gotten 10 Northern Spices off the auction house for 33 gold earlier so I had about 18 northern spices all together. I cooked up 10 Fish Feast which I will use in the battlegrounds when I come back on later. I did the daily cooking from The Rokk, (61,15) in Shattrath, which was Revenge is Tasty and the daily fishing from Old Man Barlo, (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, which was Crocolisks in the City. I got the usual rewards from those, nothing special. I also did the Achievement Critter Gitter. I did that on some Penguins in North Rend. It was quick and easy and I got it out of the way. Don't let the Maul in my hand fool you, no Penguins were injured in the completing of this Achievement. All I have left for my Chef title is to cook 2 more recipes to get though stage 2 of North Rend Gourmet, then 15 more to complete stage 3. I picked up 3 20 slot Frostweave Bags at the auction house for 93 gold each for a total of 279 gold. That is about 155 gold less for 3 than the 425 gold one 20 slot Primal Mooncloth Bag was going for when they first came out. I sent them to Wrangar to replace his 16 slot bags.

Wranngar 1/25/09

I played Wranngar for quite a while today and got his cooking to 450 and in the process got his fishing to 450. Now I just have to level my leatherworking to 450 which is at 433 right now. I did the daily cooking in Dalaran which was Sewer Stew. That had me heading to Crystalsong Forest for 4 Crystalsong Carrots which I cooked up with 4 Chilled Meat to make my stew. I delivered that to the innkeeper where I call home and collected the 9g93s, Dalaran Cooking Award and Small Spice Bag this quest pays. My Small Spice Bag had 5 Northern Spices in it today which was good, I needed them and ended up spending a Dalaran Cooking Award on 10 more Northern Spices by the time I got my cooking to 450. I had 5 Dalaran Cooking Award's and would have gotten Recipe: Fish Feast if I didn't have to spend that one. I will get it tomorrow though. I went out today and got all the mats I will need to make 10 Fish Feast when I get it. All I need is the recipe and Northern Spices. I think I have 3 in the bank so I will probably not have enough of those to make 10 unless I get an extra Dalaran Cooking Award in my Small Spice Bag. I should have enough after the daily tomorrow to make at least 5 though. I did the daily cooking from The Rokk, (61,15) in Shattrath, which was Soup for the Soul and the daily fishing from Old Man Barlo, (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, which was Bait Bandits. I got the usual rewards from those. I fought in two Eye of the Storm battles today, one win and one loss. I will probably be back on later to do a few more battlegrounds.

Wranngar 1/24/09

I got on Wranngar for a little while tonight and got the daily cooking done, which was Convention at the Legerdemain for a change. I grabbed 4 Chilled Meat from the guild bank and cooked up the 4 Northern Stew I needed then went to the wine and cheese shop and got a jug of wine then turned it in at the Legerdemain. I got my Dalaran Cooking Award and Small Spice Bag which contained 3 Northern Spices and 3 Old Spices. I am slowly building up my stock of Northern Spices and now have one stack of 20. According to the auction house prices that is worth 100 gold. The daily battleground was Alterac Valley so I skipped it. There were no battles going on which meant if I joined there would be a long queue and then we would be outnumbered 4 to 1 when that battle started. Instead I did one Eye of the Storm which we lost. We just couldn't seem to get it together and only had one tower the whole time, a couple towers for a little while and never had 3 towers. The Horde were also running the flag. It seemed to go on forever though, maybe just because I am tired. I might get back on in a little while and do some more battlegrounds.

Wranngar 1/23/09

I played Wranngar some tonight. I did the daily cooking in Dalaran which was Infused Mushroom Meatloaf AGAIN!!! Go Blizz..... Anyway I headed back into the sewers to get some Sewer Mushrooms (Infused Mushrooms) and, once I had them, I cooked them up with a couple Chilled Meat and that gave me my Infused Mushroom Meatloaf. I delivered that and got my Dalaran Cooking Award and Small Spice Bag. My Small Spice Bag had 3 Northern Spices in it. After that I took the portal to Shattrath and got the daily fishing quest from Old Man Barlo, (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, which was The One That Got Away. I headed out to Nagrand and got the World's Largest Mudfish on my 11th cast. I turned that in and got nothing worth mentioning. Then I noticed that the Lunar Festival had started. I checked that out for a little while then flew back to Darkshore and took the boat to Stormwind. A couple Horde rode the boat with me, one flagged. I followed the flagged one when he got off the boat and when he went into the park me and a Mage killed him. I felt a little bad afterwards because he was just trying to do one of the Lunar Festival quests. After that I headed back to Dalaran and called it a night.

Wranngar 1/22/09

I only had time to get on and do the Dalaran daily cooking quest tonight. It was Infused Mushroom Meatloaf AGAIN! I did it on Wranngar. I headed down into the sewers for some sewer mushrooms. I got the 4 I needed pretty quick but there seemed to be a lot of people doing it today. I cooked that with 2 pieces of chilled meat to make my Infused Mushroom Meatloaf. I delivered that and got my Dalaran Cooking Award and Small Spice Bag. My Small Spice Bag contained 3 Northern Spices so it was a slightly better reward than yesterday. I might have a little time to get back on later tonight.

Wranngar 1/21/09

I played Wranngar for awhile tonight. I did the daily cooking in Dalaran which was Infused Mushroom Meatloaf again. I headed down into the sewers to pick some mushrooms and got the 4 I needed pretty quick. Once I had them I cooked them up with a couple Chilled Meat and delivered them. I got the Dalaran Cooking Award the quest gives daily but my Small Spice Bag only had 2 Northern Spices in it. Another disappointing daily cooking :(. From there I headed over to see The Rokk, (61,15) in Shattrath, to see what the daily cooking was there. It was Manalicious. That one is not worth the effort when you already have all the recipes so I skipped it. From there I headed over to Old Man Barlo, (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, to see what he had for me. He gave me Bait Bandits which is a quick easy one. I flew to my spot by Tuurem (52,37) in Terokkar Forest and got my Blackfin Darter on the 9th cast. Yes, that's right, the 9th cast. Evidently they fixed this daily in the last patch so you don't get your quest fish on the first cast anymore. Well it was good while it lasted. After that I got the daily battleground which was Strand of the Ancients. We won the first one I was in so I turned that one in. That was about all I did tonight, I got on late and didn't have much time. Hopefully I will get on earlier tomorrow and have more time.

Wranngar 1/20/09

I only had time to do the Dalaran daily cooking on Wranngar tonight. It was Infused Mushroom Meatloaf and only took me a few minutes, I found all my mushrooms quickly today. Once I had the 4 mushrooms I needed I headed to the bank to grab a couple pieces of Chilled Meat to cook it with. I cooked it up and delivered it. My Small Spice Bag had 5 Northern Spices in it, a much better reward than yesterday. With the Dalaran Cooking Award I received today I had 3 so I got Recipe: Small Feast with them and learned that. That was about all I had time for tonight. I loaded the new patch but that didn't take long.
