Northrend Daily's 4/18/09

The first thing I usually do when I log on is the daily cooking in Dalaran on both Wranngar and Gomorra. Today was no exception. The daily today was Sewer Stew so I was off to Crystalsong Forest to pick some Crystalsong Carrots. These are located right under Dalaran in Crystalsong Forest. You can't miss them, they look like giant carrots sticking out of the ground. If you are level 75 or higher, and you would have to be to be doing the daily cooking, you probably have seen them in Grizzly Hills when you did a quest to capture horses. They look just like those. Anyway I got the 4 I needed on both and cooked them up with some Chilled Meat to make Vegetable Stew. I delivered that to my Innkeeper down in the sewers and he gave Gomorra 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 3 Northern Spices in it. Yeah, Gomorra got screwed on this one today. Wranngar got 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 2 Northern Spices and 4 Old Spices in it, he wasn't any happier.

I did some fishing tonight on Gomorra and got his fishing up to 390 :). I needed to catch some Imperial Manta Ray so I could cook up the recipe Gomorra got yesterday, Recipe: Imperial Manta Steak. I also decided to catch some Glacial Salmon too so I could cook up some Firecracker Salmon. I ended up with a lot of buff food and 450 cooking skill :). Gomorra still has a lot of recipes to get and learn but it is a downhill battle now lol.

I did all my Northrend daily's on Gomorra tonight, The Sons of Hodir and the Knights of the Ebon Blade, but I didn't do them on Wranngar because I wanted to get some fishing done on Gomorra.

I did a couple of Alterac Valley battles on Wranngar, trying to get the daily battleground done, but we lost both. It was pretty sad. The first battle I was in I got in about 3/4 of the way through. It was pretty much a turtle at that point but I headed out anyway and ended up at Galv. There was me, a Warlock and a Priest there taking on Galv. It started off with the Lock using his Void Walker to tank him but I took over when the Void lost aggro and Glav went after the Lock. While tanking Glav I also killed a Paladin and Hunter that showed up. They were very poorly geared as were all the other Horde I encountered which made the turtle and loss even sadder. I would have easily had Galv down if Horde didn't keep showing up but eventually between the Priest running out of Mana and the Horde and Galv beating up on me I died. As we had no forward graveyards I rezzed in Dun Baldar and spent the rest of the battle farming kills. In the second battle pretty much everyone who wasn't AFK went right to Dun Baldar for the Turtle. Right from the cave to Dun Baldar..... This tells you the quality of the players these days. The few of us that didn't turtle at the start made it all the way to Forstwolf Keep taking IBGY and Frostwolf Graveyard on the way. No one got the towers. The Horde killed Vann just as we were entering Frostwolf Keep. I gave up after that, it was obvious we would not be winning an AV tonight with the quality of players on hand.

I did a couple Eye of the Storm battles on Wranngar after the Alterac Valley fiasco, one win, one loss. I got in really late in the first battle which we were losing to a 4 cap. At least it was over fast. In the second battle we did a lot better though not though any smart playing. BET was left unguarded most of the battle, I was the only one guarding Dranei Ruins, and everyone seemed to think the flag was more important than defending the towers. One thing I got a real laugh about was this Rogue who kept coming to DR. I killed him 3 times and the 3rd time I killed him he was carrying the flag LMAO. I'm not sure why he ran right to me with the flag but I killed him and capped it :). The other 2 times he sapped me, which I removed with my Insignia of the Alliance, and then put Farie Fire on him so he couldn't stealth. Naturally he dispelled it so I put it on him again. He can only dispel it once so the second time he was screwed. A Rogue that can't stealth is a dead Rogue. Stealthing and running way is all they got lol. He was a very easy kill, even for a Rogue, obviously very poorly geared.

Northrend Daily's 4/17/09

I did most of my daily's on Wranngar and Gomorra today. The first one I did was the daily cooking. It was Infused Mushroom Meatloaf so I was off to the sewers in search of the elusive Infused Mushroom. It didn't take me too too long to get the 4 I needed on each so I cooked them up with some Chilled Meat to make a couple Infused Mushroom Meatloafs. Once I had those I delivered them to Orton Bennet at Curiosities and Moore. He gave Gomorra 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 2 Northern Spices and 4 Old Spices in it. Wranngar got a Dalaran Cooking Award, 9g93s and a Small Spice Bag with 3 Northern Spices and 3 Baby Spice in it. Not really a great haul on either today.

I did my daily's for The Sons of Hodir on both after that. Those don't take me too long and make me some decent gold. I stopped off at the Storm Peaks on Wranngar on the way there to do Overstock. Some people don't think this quest is worth it but 13 gold for a couple minutes work seems worth it to me. Both Gomorra and Wranngar are doing Blowing Hodir's Horn, Hot and Cold, Polishing the Helm, Spy Hunter and Feeding Arngrim for The Sons of Hodir. Neither one of them are doing Thrusting Hodir's Spear because I decided, after a couple tries, that it just isn't worth it. Wranngar became exalted with them a couple days ago and now he's just doing them for the gold. Gomorra is revered with them.

I did my daily's for the Knights of the Ebon Blade on Gomorra after that. I skipped them on Wranngar because I just didn't have enough time and he is already exalted so he is only doing them for the gold. Gomorra only does a couple of them so it goes pretty quick. He does Leave Our Mark and Vile Like Fire!. Those two take him less than 10 minutes to complete.
