Daily Fishing - Jewel of the Sewers for a change 12/10/09

Today, when I went to see Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, for my daily fishing, she had Jewel Of The Sewers for a change. If it was The Ghostfish again I would have skipped it. I had that 3 days in a row and it really eats up a lot of time flying all the way out to Sholazar Basin.

This one had me heading down into the sewers, between battlegrounds, to my spot in the Black Market. I got called away to a couple battlegrounds but I finally got my piece of Corroded Jewelry after 19 casts, took awhile today. I took that back up and turned it in to Marcia in exchange for a Bag of Fishing Treasures.

Today it had 6g56s69c, a Northsea Pearl, a Worthless Piece of Red Glass and 4 Deviate Fish in it. Not a great haul today.

The Ghostfish - Daily Fishing 12/9/09

The daily fishing from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, was The Ghostfish again. What is this, day 3? Or is it 4? I don't know, I lost track.

This one had me taking the flight path to River's Heart in Sholazar Basin to catch the elusive Phantom Ghostfish. I landed and flew up to my spot up top and a little northwest of the flight point and started fishing. I got my Ghostfish on the 15th cast, which is a little longer than usual, and ate it right away.

I flew back to Dalaran to let Marcia know what I found out and she gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures. Today it had 6g54s78c, a Glow Worm and 2 Crafted Stars in it. All junk. Oh well, better luck tomorrow hopefully. I've already made a bunch of gold off this daily this week anyway.

Daily Cooking - Cheese for Glowergold 12/9/09

Today the daily cooking was Cheese for Glowergold. I did it on both Wranngar and Gomorra today. Yeah, I got Gom out and brushed the dust off his robes for a change.

I ran around Dalaran on both of them collecting Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses until they each had 6. One place people tend to overlook, but I don't when I am having trouble find them, is Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly. I ended up getting 6 glasses out of there between the 2 of them. Once I had all the glasses I needed I headed over to One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop there in Dalaran, and got the pieces of Aged Dalaran Limburger I needed. I combined those on the platter, supplied to me when I got the quest, and made wine and cheese platters.

I took those over to Ranid Glowergold (36,28) at the Leatherworkers in the Magus Commerce Exchange and exchanged them for some gold, Dalaran Cooking Awards and Small Spice Bags with a total of 6 Northern Spices and 7 Baby Spice. Not a bad haul overall today.

The Ghostfish - Daily Fishing 12/8/09

The daily fishing, from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, was The Ghostfish again. That had me heading over to River's Heart in Sholazar Basin to catch the elusive Phantom Ghostfish.

I took the flight path out of Dalaran to River's Heart, then flew up top, slightly northwest of the flight point, and fished for my Ghostfish. I got one on the 9th cast and ate it right away. It is on a timer that starts clocking as soon as you loot it, you have 60 seconds, so eat it as soon as you loot it or you will lose it. I had the whole Ghostfish experience, mystery solved.

I went back to Dalaran and reported to Marcia what I found out and she gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures which today had 7g25s5c, 5 Pygmy Oil, a New Age Painting signed by Marcia Chase which I sold to a vendor for 25 gold, and a Waterlogged Recipe which starts a quest. The quest is to take it to Christi Stockton, the wine vendor at One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop. She gives you 13g23s and 5 Dalaran Cooking Awards. An excellent return on this one today, over 45 gold total.

Infused Mushroom Meatloaf - Daily Cooking 12/8/09

The daily cooking from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, was Infused Mushroom Meatloaf again. This is not surprising due to maintenance. It took them a couple hours longer than expected to complete maintenance today as they were installing patch 3.3.0 and the daily cooking and fishing were the same as yesterday.

I headed down into the sewers to pick some Infused Mushrooms, I needed 4 for this one. I got them pretty quick, there didn't seem to be many people on and no one doing the daily it looked like. I did notice that there were Underbelly Elixirs everywhere, I got 9 just running around down there. I took the mushrooms and ran over to the bank to grab some Chilled Meat, I needed 2 pieces of that. I made a fire and cooked the meatloaf outside the bank.

I took the meatloaf over to Orton Bennet, upstairs at Curiosities and Moore, and exchanged it for 9g93a, a Dalaran Cooking Award, a Small Spice Bag and 2 Northern Spices. Not a good haul for this one today.

New Fishing Derby in Patch 3.3.0

There has been a new fishing derby added in patch 3.3.0. This will be a mid-week fishing derby in Northernd.

"The all-new Kalu'ak Fishing Derby, a test of fishing skill with a healthy dash of luck, has come to Northrend! Every Wednesday beginning at 8 PM players can try to catch the elusive Blacktip Shark. Elder Clearwater sits in Dalaran for one hour awaiting the return of the quickest, most experienced fisher to bring him this shark. This champion fisher will be rewarded in-kind for returning with the first catch. Those who aren't able to return with the first catch will still receive just reward for getting the Blacktip Shark to Elder Clearwater before he takes his leave. It is said that these sharks' favorite meal are the bite-sized Pygmy Suckerfish. Perhaps a hook in their waters will do the trick."

The Ghostfish - Daily Fishing 12/7/09

Today when I went to see Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, she had The Ghostfish for my daily. I don't really like this one because there is a lot of travel time involved but as long as it isn't every day it's ok.

I took the flight path out of Dalaran to River's Heart in Sholazar Basin then flew up to my spot above and a little northwest of the flight point. I fished there, keeping an eye out for Croc's, and got my Phantom Ghostfish on the 7th cast which wasn't too bad. I ate it right away because it is on a timer and you only have 60 seconds, after you loot it, to eat it before it disappears. I got the whole Ghostfish experience then flew back to see Marcia and let her know what I found out.

She gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures with 6g44s90c, 3 Pygmy Oil and a Battered Jungle Hat. Not worth the time it took to fly to Sholazar Basin and back, but you never know.

Daily Cooking - Infused Mushroom Meatloaf 12/7/09

Today when I went to see Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, she had Infused Mushroom Meatloaf for me. This is a simple one you don't even have to leave Dalaran for assuming you have some meat on hand, which I always do.

I headed down into the sewers to pick 4 Infused Mushrooms and got them fast. I headed over to the bank from there and got a couple pieces of Chilled Meat from my dwindling supply. Someone had made a fire in the bank so I used that to cook up my meatloaf.

I took the meatloaf over to Orton Bennet upstairs at Curiosities and Moore, a man who likes his meatloaf, and exchanged it for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 3 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it. An ok haul today I guess. I would have liked more spices but what can you do.

Cheese for Glowergold - Daily Cooking 12/6/09

Today when I went to see Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, she had Cheese for Glowergold for me, my least favorite daily cooking quest. The reason I don't like this one is the Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses are small and hard to target. Believe it or not though, they are getting easier to target lol.

I did this entire daily while I was in queue for the battleground, it went that fast today. I started off collecting Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses in A Hero's Welcome and got 2 there. Then I headed over to One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop, and got 3 more and the piece of Aged Dalaran Limburger I needed. I got the last glass I needed outside the wine and cheese shop off the table where the girl is giving samples. I combined them on the platter, that was supplied to me when i picked up the quest, and headed off to see Ranid Glowergold (36,28) at the Leatherworkers in the Magus Commerce Exchange.

I exchanged the wine and cheese platter for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with another Dalaran Cooking Award, 3 Old Spices and 3 Northern Spices in it. A decent haul today. I need the spices, I am just a little over 300 left in the bank. I cooked up 93 Poached Northern Sculpin yesterday after I did some fishing and that really put a dent in my supply. I use the Poached Northern Sculpin for the battlegrounds to give me an edge.

Daily Fishing - Monsterbelly Appetite 12/6/09

Today when I went to see what Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had for me I got Monsterbelly Appetite, a simple enough quest but a little time consuming with the travel and all. I did it between battlegrounds so it took me awhile as I kept leaving in flight which caused me to land at every flight point between Dalaran and Unu'pe.

I finally got to Unu'pe, in Borean Tundra, and headed out to sea to catch my Bloated Monsterbelly. I flew around until I found a school, then fished it. I got my Bloated Monsterbelly on the 3rd cast and opened it up. I found the Severed Arm inside and hearthed back to Dalaran.

This quest is the only daily fishing quest that doesn't get turned back in to Marcia, instead it gets turned in to Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange. I went to see her and exchanged the Severed Arm for a Bag of Fishing Treasures. She is going to attempt to reunite the arm with it's rightful owner.

Today my Bag of Fishing Treasures had 7g5s40c, 3 Elixirs of Water Walking, 2 Crafted Stars and 4 Deviate Fish in it. All junk and even the gold wasn't much. I don't know why I do this one every day... Yes I do, there are still some good things to get from this daily and I will keep plugging away at it until I have them all :).

I started a fire outside the bank and cooked my meatloaf.

I took that over to Orton Bennet, upstairs at Curiosities and Moore, and exchanged it for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 4 Northern Spices in it. Northern Spices go for around 3 gold each on the auction house so this wasn't a bad haul today. Orton is a man that likes his meatloaf.

Waterlogged Recipe - 12/5/09

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had Blood Is Thicker for me when I went to see her. I had this one the other day too, but today I got a Waterlogged Recipe, this is the first time I have gotten one of those.

This one had me taking the flight path out of Dalaran to Unu'pe, on the Borean coast. From there I flew inland until I found a Marsh Caribou to kill. I ripped that apart and got covered in blood, then I flew back to the shore and jumped in, creating a blood pool. I fished in the blood pool until I caught 5 Bloodtooth Frenzy. I took those back to Marcia and she gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures.

Today my Bag of Fishing Treasures had 7g66s19c, 3 Pygmy Oil, 2 Worthless Pieces of White Glass, 4 Deviate Fish and a Waterlogged Recipe. This is the first time I have gotten a Waterlogged Recipe from this daily. Waterlogged Recipe starts a quest. The quest was to take the recipe to Christi Stockton, the wine vendor at One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop in Dalaran. In return for that she gave me 13g23s and 5 Dalaran Cooking Awards. A pretty good haul for this daily today.
