3 Years Playing WoW 12/1/09

It's been 3 years, December 1st, since I started playing World of Warcraft. A lot has changed since then. I started out on a Warrior and got him to level 19. Then I saw a Warlock on a Felsteed and decided I had to have one of those and Gomorra was born. I level him up, got the Felsteed, it required level 40 back then, and eventually the Dreadsteed. I did a lot of battlegrounds on Gom but put him on the back burner when I created Wranngar. Wrann is the character I play most now, I do a lot of battlegrounds with him and have around 82,000 lifetime honorable kills on him.

I still do the daily cooking and fishing and, of course, the daily battleground pretty much every day. I do other daily's when I need the gold.

They are both level 80 now and I am looking forward to see what the future brings. So far I have seen Burning Crusades and Wrath of the Lich King arrive and am waiting to see what Cataclysm brings.

Daily Fishing - Blood is Thicker 12/1/09

Today when I went to see Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, she had Blood Is Thicker for the daily fishing. This was a change from the last couple days but you fly right to the same flight point as you do for Monsterbelly Appetite. The difference is you head inland instead of out to sea.

I flew out of Dalaran to the flight point in Unu'pe then flew inland until I found a Marsh Caribou. I killed that so I would be covered in blood. Once I was covered in blood I flew back to the shore and jumped in the water, creating a blood pool and washing the blood off me at the same time. I fished in the blood pool until I caught 5 Bloodtooth Frenzy, then I headed back to see Marcia. I handed over the 5 Bloodtooth Frenzy to her and she gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures. Today it had 9g29s40c, 4 Pygmy Oil and 1 Piece of Worthless Green Glass in it. All junk again today. Tomorrow's gotta be better :). Even a Sealed Vial of Poison would be nice.

Daily Cooking - Mustard Dogs 12/1/09

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, gave me Mustard Dogs! for my daily cooking. This is a nice easy one you don't even have to leave Dalaran for as long as you keep some meat in stock for the daily cooking. In this case Rhino Meat.

This one had me heading out to the grassy areas of Dalaran in search of Wild Mustard, I needed 4 pieces. I got them pretty quick, once again it didn't seem like anyone was doing it at that time. With those in hand I headed over to the bank to grab 4 pieces of Rhino Meat to make the Rhino Dogs this recipe calls for. I cooked those up then combined them with the Wild Mustard to make a Mustard Dog Basket! I took that over to Archmage Pentarus (68,41) at Krasus' Landing and exchanged it for 9g93s, 2 Dalaran Cooking Awards and a Small Spice Bag with 4 Northern Spices and 4 Old Spices in it. The Old Spices make whoever you throw them at smell good, I like to throw them at the Horde in Dalaran to freshen the place up a little. Not a bad haul today, I am starting to replenish my stock of Northern Spices.

Daliy Fishing - Monsterbelly Appetite 11/30/09

When I went to see what Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran had for me today she gave me Monsterbelly Appetite again. Good job Blizz, so much for variety.

I took the flight path out of Dalaran to Unu'pe then headed out to sea, to the icebergs out there, to catch my Bloated Monsterbelly. I got it on the 3rd cast. By 3rd cast I mean a cast that actually landed in the school of fish and I caught something. Usually it takes a few casts each time to get into the pool. I opened up the Bloated Monsterbelly and got the Severed Arm out of it then hearthed back to Dalaran to turn it in.

This doesn't get turned back in to Marcia Chase, it gets turned in to Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange. She is going to attempt to reattach it to the fisherman who lost it. Good luck with that. She gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures for my trouble which today had, 8g17s50c, 3 Pygmy Oil and 2 Crafted Stars. All junk today. Who knows, maybe tomorrow will bring something better.

Daily Cooking - Cheese for Glowergold 11/30/09

The daily cooking today was one of my least favorite, Cheese for Glowergold, but it went really fast. I got all 6 of the Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses in A Hero's Welcome where I picked up the quest from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer, while I was in queue waiting for the battleground.

After the battle I went over to One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop, and found my piece of Aged Dalaran Limburger on the counter right when I walked in. I combined them on the platter that was supplied to me when I picked up the quest and headed off to see Ranid Glowergold (36,28) at the Leatherworkers in the Magus Commerce Exchange.

I gave him his Wine & Cheese platter and he gave me 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 5 Northern Spices in it. Not a bad haul today.

Daily Fishing - Monsterbelly Appetite 11/29/09

When I went to see Marcia today to see if she had anything for me, she gave me Monsterbelly Appetite which had me flying over to Unu'pe to catch a Bloated Monsterbelly.

I took the flight path out of Dalaran to Unu'pe then flew out to sea in a southeasterly direction until I came to the icebergs (you can see from shore) out there. I turned on fish finding and flew around the icebergs until I found a school of Deepsea Monsterbelly. I fished in that school until I got a Bloated Monsterbelly which was my third cast. I cut it open (looted it) and got the severed arm from inside it then flew back and gave it to Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange in Dalaran. She is going to attempt to reunite the arm with the fisherman. She must be a miracle worker.

She gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures for my trouble which today had 10g95s2c, 4 Pygmy Oil, a Velociraptor Skull and 2 Deviate Fish in it. All pretty much junk except for the gold. Why would you give someone a Velociraptor Skull anyway?

Nightelf Mohawk - "It's Time to Pity Some Fools"

Now you too can be a Nightelf Mohawk, just like Mr. T. This is something Mr. T and Blizzard cooked up I guess. You can get a Mohawk Grenade from outside any starting area. Just look for the Nightelf Mohawk standing there. When you talk to him you have to click on the 'link' that says "I believe in you" and he gives you a Mohawk Gernade that lasts 24 hours and has 5 charges to it. You use it on a group of people and it transforms them into Nightelf Mohawks whether they want it or not. You target then just like you target an AoE spell. You can remove the buff, just like any friendly buff, by right clicking on it. It is just one more interesting thing to do while it lasts. There is not time frame on how long this will be available.

Daily Cooking - Sewer Stew 11/29/09

When I grabbed the daily cooking today from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, it was Sewer Stew. This is another easy one. You can even take the gate down to Crystalsong Forest to save time which is what I did.

I headed over to the Violet Gate (55,46) right there in Dalaran and took it down to Crystalsong Forest, then just flew right across the river to the ruins to pick my Crystalsong Carrots. I needed to get 4 of them and I got them fast. There was no one there and I could see 4 as soon as I got there. With those in hand I took the gate back up to Dalaran and headed over to the bank for 4 pieces of Chilled Meat. I am going to have to go hunting again soon, I went through the 2 stacks I had pretty quick with all these quests that take 4 pieces. I made a fire right outside the bank and cooked up my stew.

I took the stew down to Ajay Green at the Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly and exchanged it for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 6 Northern Spices in it! A great haul today. I can't remember the last time I got that many Northern Spices in my Spice Bag. They will come in handy too because I am down to 2 1/2 stacks of Poached Northern Sculpin so I will have to go fishing again soon and cook up some more. That takes 1 Northern Spice each piece.

Daily Fishing - The Ghostfish 11/28/09

Today the daily fishing was The Ghostfish. The only thing I don't like about this one is the travel time. You have to fly out to Sholazar Basin to catch one.

I took the flight path out of Dalaran to Rivers Heart in Sholazar Basin and flew up to my spot (48,54), up top and northeast of the flight point. I hardly ever get attacked by anything while I am fishing here. Today was not one of those days however, I got attacked by a Mangal Crocolisk. I killed and skinned it and got a piece of Borean Leather out of the deal anyway.

It took me 13 casts to get my Phantom Ghostfish today. That is around the average amount of casts I have to make to get it. I ate it right away because it is on a 60 second timer and if you don't eat it, it disappears. So I ate it and had the whole Ghostfish experience then headed back to Dalaran.

Back in Dalaran I went to see Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain and let her know what I learned. She gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures with 7g24s95c, 2 Elixirs of Water Walking and 2 Worthless Pieces of Violet Glass. Not worth flying all the way to Sholazar Basin for I'll tell you what.

Daily Cooking - Mustard Dogs 11/28/09

The daily cooking today was Mustard Dogs!, another easy one. The hardest part about this one, at least for me, is clicking on the Wild Mustard, it is pretty tiny.

I got this quest from Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, and headed out to pick some Wild Mustard around Dalaran. It is found in the grassy areas around the city. I had no problem getting my 4 today, it didn't seem like anyone else was doing at that time. I headed over to the bank after I had 4 and grabbed 4 pieces of Rhino Meat to make the Rhino Dogs. Once I had those cooked up I combined them with the Wild Mustard in the picnic basket that was supplied when I got the quest to make a Mustard Dog Basket!.

Today my Small Spice Bag had 2 Northern Spices and 5 Old Spices in it. An ok haul I guess. You throw the Old Spices at people. "The old spices make the target smell great!" is what it says. I like to throw them at Horde players in Dalaran to freshen up the place a little.

Daily Fishing - Dangerously Delicious 11/27/09

The daily fishing was Dangerously Delicious today. That had me taking the flight path to Wintergrasp to catch 10 Terrorfish.

When I got to Wintergrasp there were 4 or 5 people already there fishing. I joined them and started fishing. It took me 27 casts to get my 10 Terrorfish, not too bad. We didn't see any Horde while we were there and I didn't think we would. The Horde likes numbers in their favor and they would have had to round up 12-15 people to get the odds good enough for them to attack us. While I was there the queue for Wintergrasp came up so I queue'd up.

With my 10 Terrorfish in hand I headed back to see Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran for my reward. I gave her the 10 Terrorfish and she gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures. Today it had 7g58s63c, 4 Pygmy Oil, a New Age Painting signed by Marcia Chase which I sold to a vendor for 25 gold, and 3 Deviate Fish. Not a bad haul on this one today, with the painting it put me over 30 gold total.

Daily Cooking - Infused Mushroom Meatloaf 11/27/09

The daily cooking Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome had for me today was Infused Mushroom Meatloaf. This is a pretty easy one. All I had to do was pick some Infused Mushrooms and cook them up with some Chilled Meat.

I headed down into the sewers to pick some Infused Mushrooms, I needed 4. I don't even want to know what they are infused with growing in a sewer and all. I got them pretty quick, I didn't see anyone else doing it while I was down there. Once I had my mushrooms in hand I headed over to the bank to grab some Chilled Meat, I needed 2 pieces of that. I cooked the Chilled Meat and Infused Mushrooms into a meatloaf and headed over to see Orton Bennet upstairs at Curiosities and Moore. He gave me 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag for the meatloaf. Today my Small Spice Bag had 4 Northern Spices in it. Not a bad haul today.
