Daily's 7/22/08

I had time to do a few daily's and a few battlegrounds on Wranngar today :). The daily's were the cooking which was Super Hot Stew, the daily fishing which was The One That Got Away and Gaining the Advantage.

The Rokk, (61,15) in Shattrath, sent me out to Blades Edge to cook up some Demon Broiled Surprise. I grabbed the mats I needed out of the Guild Bank and headed over to Forge Camp Terror. I killed an elemental and cooked up my stew without any interference. When I turned this in I picked Barrel of Fish for my reward, as it seemes to have the better meat, and got 5 Zangarian Sporefish, 4 Figluster's Mudfish and 2 Clean Fishbones. I also got the 7g59s this quest pays. I cooked up the fish and put them in the Guild Bank for our guildies that don't have their cooking up.

Old Man Barlo, (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, had me heading over to Nagrand to catch the World's Largest Mudfish. I went to my spot at Lake Sunspring (34,43) and started casting. I was using Seth's Graphite Fishing Pole, Spun Truesilver Fishing Line which gives you permanent +3 to your fishing skill when you put it on your pole, and a Sharpened Fish Hook which gives you +100 to fishing skill for 10 minutes. I got him in 6 casts so that wasn't too bad. I headed back and turned that in for my Bag of Fishing Treasures. It had 6g81s22c, 5 Sharpened Fish Hooks and 4 Motes of Water. Nothing exciting there but I am due for something good, it had been awhile since I got anything good I could use from this quest.

While I was in Nagrand I stopped to Laughing Skull Ruins and killed some Clefthoof for Nether Residue. It took me a lot of kills to get the 8 I needed but I finally got them. I got a lot of good leather too so I am not complaining. When I turned this one, Gaining the Advantage, in I got 16g39s and a Major Rejuvenation Potion. After that I headed off to do the daily battleground which was Alterac Valley, my favorite :).

Daily's 7/20/08

I only had time to do 2 of the daily's on Wranngar today. The one's I did were the daily cooking which was Soup for the Soul and the daily fishing which was Shrimpin' Ain't Easy.

The daily fishing had me heading over to Umbrafen Lake (78,74) in Zangarmarsh to catch Bloated Barbed Gill Trout. When you open them up you find Giant Freshwater Shrimp inside. I had to catch about 8 to get my 10. Then I headed back over to Old Man Barlo (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest and turned them in for my Bag of Fishing Treasures. I got 6g75s71c, 4 Sharpened Fish Hooks and 4 pieces of Salvaged Scrap Metal. Nothing great there and it has been awhile since I got anything good from the daily fishing so I am due for something good.

The daily cooking had The Rokk, (61,15) in Shattrath, sending me over to the Ancestral Grounds (25,59) in Nagrand to cook up some Spiritual Soup. Once I had that done I headed back to Shattrath to turn in. I picked Barrel of Fish for my reward and got 5 Spotted Feltail, 5 Figluster's Mudfish and 3 Clean Fishbones. You throw the fishbones in the soup for flavor. I also got the 7g59s this quest pays. I have all the good stuff you can get from this quest so I am basically doing it for the cooking supplies.

Daily's 7/19/08

I only did a few daily's again today on Wranngar. I did the daily fishing which was Felblood Fillet, the daily cooking which was Manalicious, my daily skinning quest which is Gaining the Advantage and Sunfury Attack Plans.

Old Man Barlo (40,59), at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, had me heading over to the Pools of Aggonar (39,37) in Hellfire Peninsula to catch a Monstrous Felblood Snapper. It took me a lot of casts, around 13 I think, to catch one. Once I had one I turned it in for my Bag of Fishing Treasures which contained 6g54s82c, 5 Sharpened Fish Hooks and 3 pieces of Salvaged Scrap Metal. Nothing great there.

The Rokk, (61,15) in Shattrath, sent me out to Eco-Dome Midrealm to pick some Mana Berries. This is a pretty easy quest that takes very little time. While I was there I killed and skinned some of the local wildlife for the Nether Residue I needed for Gaining the Advantage. When I had those done I swung over to Sunfury Keep and got the attack plans on my first kill. I went back to Shattrath and turned in the cooking for a Barrel of Fish. It had 4 Zangarian Sporefish, 4 Figluster's Mudfish and a Hoop Earring in it. I turned in Gaining the Advantage for 16g39s and a Major Rejuvenation Potion and Sunfury Attack Plans for 10g10s and Shattered Sun Supplies.

Daily's 7/15/08

I only did a few of my daily's on Wranngar today and none on Gomorra, just didn't have the time. The ones I did were the daily fishing which was Felblood Fillet, the daily cooking which was Revenge is Tasty and my daily skinning which is Gaining the Advantage.

The daily fishing had Old Man Barlo (40,59), at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, sending me out in search of a Monstrous Felblood Snapper. I went to the Pools of Aggonar (39,37) in Hellfire Peninsula to catch one. It took me over 20 casts to get one, this is one of those where you either get it in a couple casts or it takes you a lot. When I finally had it I turned it in for my Bag of Fishing Treasures which contained 6g76s87c, 6 Sharpened Fish Hooks and an Ornate Drinking Stein which I vendored for 11 gold.

The Rokk (61,15) in Shattrath had me going to Skettis to kill a Monstrous Kaliri for it's wing. I got the wing on the second kill and headed back to Shattrtah to cook up my Kaliri Stew. When I turned that in I picked Barrel of Fish for my reward and got a Goldenscale Vendorfish which I vendored for 6 gold, 6 Golden Darter and a Fisherman Knife. I think I will be picking Barrel of Fish for my reward from now on as the rewards are just better than Crate of Meat.

For Gaining the Advantage I headed over to Razorthorn Trail to kill and skin Ravagers for Nether Residue. It didn't take me too long to get the 8 I needed and I also got a bunch of meat. When I turned that in I got the usual 16g39s and a Major Rejuvenation Potion.

Daily's 7/14/08

I handed in the daily fishing quest, Shrimpin' Ain't Easy, from yesterday on Gomorra today. I couldn't turn it in because of video problems yesterday which turned out to be my video card. That was about all I had time to do after I got my PC working again. When turned this in to Old Man Barlo (40,59), at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, I got 6g66s33c, 4 Sharpened Fish Hooks and a Broken Spyglass for this quest. Nothing great but still a lot of good stuff to be had from this daily.

Daily's 7/13/08

I did some of my daily's on Wranngar today. I did the daily fishing which was Shrimpin' Ain't Easy, the daily cooking which was Soup for the Soul as well as Gaining the Advantage and The Multiphase Survey. I tried to do the daily fishing on Gomorra but I was having video problems and was unable to finish. I need to figure out if they are related to my video card, driver or WoW.

Old Man Barlo (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest had me heading over to my spot at Umbrafen Lake (78,74) in Zangarmarsh to catch some Bloated Barbed Gill Trout to gut out for the Giant Freshwater Shrimp they eat. This is a really easy quest that takes no time at all. I got my 10 Giant Freshwater Shrimp in about 10 casts and headed back to Old Man Barlo to turn it in for my Bag of Fishing Treasures. I got 7g31s63c, 6 Sharpened Fish Hooks and 2 Jaggal Pearls. Nothing to write home about there.

The Rokk (61,15) in Shattrath sent me out to Nagrand to cook up some Spiritual Soup for the daily cooking quest. Before I could do that I needed to get some Clefthoof meat which I got doing Gaining the Advantage. Once I had that I cooked my soup at the Ancestral Grounds (25,59). When I turned this one in I picked Barrel of Fish for my reward and got 5 Golden Darter, 4 Spotted Feltail and a Ruined Fishing Net. Nothing to write home about there either but the Golden Darter were a nice reward :).

While I was in Nagrand doing the cooking quest I also did Gaining the Advantage and The Multiphase Survey. The Clefthoof weren't dropping the Nether Residue for me any better than the Ravagers were yesterday so it took me about 10 minutes to get the 8 I needed. The Multiphase Survey goes really quick and I had that done in a couple minutes. When I turned these in I got 16g39s and a Major Rejuvenation Potion for Gaining the Advantage and 9g10s for The Multiphase Survey. Not too bad for the amount of time they take.

Daily's 7/12/08

I finally had a little time to get on today after work. I did some of my daily's on Wranngar and the daily fishing which was Felblood Fillet on both Wranngar and Gomorra. I also did the daily cooking on Wranngar which was Revenge is Tasty along with Gaining the Advantage.

The daily cooking had The Rokk (61,15) in Shattrath sending me over to Skettis to kill a Monstrous Kaliri for his wing. I got the wing I needed on the second kill. I flew back to Shattrath and cooked it up with some Warp Burgers to create Kaliri Stew. That done I turned it in and picked Barrel of Fish for my reward. That had 10 Figluster's Mudfish and a Fisherman Knife in it, nothing great there but I cooked up the fish and put it in the guild bank. I am doing this quest for the meat/fish now as I already have all the recipes available.

For the daily fishing I headed over to Shadowmoon Valley on Wranngar to my spot (40,59) by Wildhammer Stronghold. I got my Monstrous Felblood Snapper on the first cast and headed back to Old Man Barlo (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest to turn it in for my Bag of Fishing Treasures. I got 7g50s, 6 Sharpened Fish Hooks and 2 Motes of Water. Nothing great there either but a lot of good rewards still to be had. Then I got on Gomorra and headed to the Pools of Aggonar (39,37) in Hellfire Peninsula to catch his. He got his in 4 casts and headed back to Old Man Barlo to turn in for his Bag of Fishing Treasures. He got 6g52s66c, Spun Truesilver Fishing Line which does me no good as I already have it on my pole and it doesn't stack but I will save it in case I get a better pole, 4 Sharpened Fish Hooks and 3 Jaggal Pearls. Nothing great there but better than Wranngar got :).

I took Wranngar and headed over to Razorthorn Trail to do Gaining the Advanatge. I killed a bunch of Ravagers to get Nether Residue. I was getting a pretty bad drop rate so I am wondering if the Clefthoof are dropping well again, I will check that out tomorrow hopefully. I went back and turned that in for 16g39s and a Major Rejuvenation Potion.

I might log on later to do some battlegrounds, I still need some honor to upgrade my gear.

Daily's 7/9/08

I only got to do the daily fishing quest on Wranngar and Gomorra today. I started a new job recently and am still trying to get my routine down so it will be awhile before I am back into the swing of things. I don't have as much time to play anymore during the week, I didn't even have a chance to log on at all yesterday :(. The daily fishing today was Crocolisks in the City. I picked up the quest from Old Man Barlo (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest and headed back to Shattrath to take the portal to Stormwind. When I got to Stormwind I headed to my spot on the bridge in the canals right outside the Mage District. I got my Baby Crocolisk in 9 casts on Wranngar and 4 casts on Gomorra. This is another one of those quests that seems like you get it in a few casts or it takes a lot. I hearthed back to Shattrath and flew back over to Old Man Barlo to turn them in for my Bag of Fishing Treasures. Wranngar's had 6g67s90c, 4 Sharpened Fish Hooks and a Broken Spyglass which I sold to a vendor for 2 gold. Gomorra got 7g48s10c, 5 Sharpened Fish Hooks and a Razor Sharp Fillet Knife which I sold to a vendor for 4 gold. Nothing really good or profitable there today but there are still some good rewards to be had from this quest so I will keep on doing it. Some day I will hit the jackpot and get The 2 Ring :).

Daily's 7/7/08

I only had about 20 minutes to play today so I only did the daily fishing on Wranngar and Gomorra. It was Bait Bandits again today which was good, I didn't have far to travel so I was able to get it done on both. I flew over to my spot at the waterfall (51,38) by Tuurem and got my Blackfin Darter on Wranngar in 8 casts and Gomorra's in 3 casts. I went back to Old Man Barlo (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest and turned them in for my Bag of Fishing Treasures. Wranngar got 7g22s80c, 5 Sharpened Fish Hooks and a Broken Spyglass. Gomorra got 6g71s59c, 5 Sharpened Fish Hooks and a Razor Sharp Fillet Knife. Nothing great there but there are still some good rewards to be had from this quest.

Battlegrounds 7/6/08

I fought in a couple different battlegrounds on Wranngar today. The daily battleground was Arathi Basin and we won the first one I was in. We had a good group that could follow a simple plan which was get ST, GM, BS and LM then move on to the Farm in a group pushing the Horde back the whole time. We got ST, GM, BS and the LM without and problem but the Farm took a little bit of time but we did get it for the 5 cap. When you have 5 nodes capped the resources rack up pretty quick. It took us less than 5 minutes total to win this one 2000/140. For this daily I got 11g99s, 419 honor and 3 Arathi Basin Mark of Honor.

The other battleground I fought in was Alterac Valley. I was in 2 battles, one win and one loss. In the first battle which was our win we had a good group that worked together. The plan was to go to FWGY and take that then move forward and back to get FWRH, the East and West Towers, IBT and TP. We did that and also ended up getting SHGY, SFGY, IBGY and Galv. When we got to IBGY the Horde were waiting for us but we just ran right over them. The Horde had nothing, not one graveyard, not one node capped. Usually holding SHGY is a really bad move but we had a really good group and there was nothing the Horde could do. We could have beat them on resources but we also killed Drek for the extra honor. This was a high honor battle. The second battle we didn't do as well, we had a lot of AFK and you could tell right from that start that it was a different group and the quality of players was just not there. The AFK problem is really bad and they just ruin it for everyone else. People were not working together, nobody followed the plan and everyone stopped at IBGY to fight the Horde instead of moving on to FWGY or FWRH and it just fell apart from there. We had SFGY and a lot of people wasted a lot of time trying to get SHGY which is pretty much useless to us and keeps the Horde from rezzing in front of us when they have it. By the end of the battle we had IBGY capping, IBT capped, Galv dead and were in the process of capping TP when the Horde killed Vann.

Daily's 7/6/08

I only did a few of my daily's today, maybe I will do more later when I log back on. I did the fishing which was Bait Bandits on both Wranngar and Gomorra. I also did Gaining the Advantage, The Multiphase Survey and the daily cooking which was Super Hot Stew on Wranngar.

Gaining the Advantage I did on Razorthorn Trail killing Ravagers. I am finding a better drop rate off them lately compared to the Clefthoof. Granted I don't get any Thick Clefthoof Leather off them but I do get a lot of Knothide Leather Scraps and Knothide Leather plus Ravager Meat. It didn't take me too long to get my 8 Nether Residue. From there I headed over to Nagrand and did The Multiphase Survey. It is really easy and goes fast in swift flight form. I had that done in a couple minutes.

The daily cooking had me heading over to Forge Camp Terror in Blades Edge Mountains to kill an elemental to cook my stew over. I took the mats I needed out of the guild bank as there are so many in there it is not worthwhile to go and kill Wind Serpents and Raptors for them. I killed an elemental and cooked up my Demon Broiled Surprise then headed back to The Rokk (61,15) in Shattrath to turn in. I picked Crate of Meat for my reward and got 8 Chunks o' Basilisk, 7 pieces of Buzzard Meat and 2 Large Fangs as well as the 7g59s this quest pays. Again I didn't do this one on Gomorra as it is really not worth the time it takes to fly out there compared to the reward you get.

The daily fishing had me heading over to my favorite spot at the waterfall (51,38) by Tuurem. I got my Blackfin Darter on the second cast on both Wranngar and Gomorra and headed back to Old Man Barlo (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest to turn it in for my Bag of Fishing Treasures. Wranngar got 6g66s25c, 2 Elixirs of Water Walking and a Broken Spyglass which I sold to a vendor for 2 gold. Gomorra got 6g78s61c, 6 Sharpened Fish Hooks and a Giant Shark Tooth. Nothing too good there today but I will keep plugging along on this one. The rewards have been poor for awhile so it can only get better :).

I will definitely go back later and do some battlegrounds and maybe the daily quests in Shattered Sun.

Battlegrounds 7/5/08

I am not sure what the daily battleground was today but I still had the daily for Alterac Valley in my quest log from the other day so I did that one. Even though the Alliance does poorly in AV a lot of the time it is still my favorite battleground. We were doing good today though, I fought in 5 battles on Wranngar, 4 wins and one loss. We won the first one I was in so I was able to get my daily out of the way straight off. After that I was fighting for fun, honor and kills. I broke the 40,000 lifetime kill mark a few days ago. The first battle we were in was pretty organized, we headed to FWGY and got that then moved forward and backward getting FWRH, IBT and TP. We then got the East and West Frostwolf Towers and took down Drek. Galv got taken out somewhere in there too so we got maximum honor for that win. Our other 3 wins followed pretty much the same plan and we won with good honor. I still need some more honor to upgrade some of my gear to the new stuff that became available for honor. In the battle we lost we just didn't have any teamwork going on. We had a lot of AFK in all the battles I was in, it is a real problem that Blizzard says it is working on but I can't see it when I see the same people in there AFK day after day, week after week. Anyway in the loss people went for Galv first then everyone stopped at IBGY to fight the Horde there. When the Horde are really defending IBGY you do not stop to fight them, you go past them to FWGY and take that then more into Frostwolf and get the Relief Hut and Towers. It really didn't look like these people had any idea what they were doing and I thought I had gotten out of the good time frame (I got into the battleground at 5AM ST) but then we won the next one easily. We had a lot of people in DB but when the Horde moved in it turned out they were all AFK and just got relocated to SFGY when they were killed. The Horde killed Vann on that one. We killed Drek in all of our wins which is how it should be because you get a lot of honor from killing him.

Daily's 7/5/08

I never got back on last night to do the daily fishing on Gomorra which is too bad, I really need to do it every day if I am going to have a chance to get The 2 Ring.

I did the daily fishing which was The One That Got Away on both Wranngar and Gomorra today along with the daily cooking which was Soup for the Soul on both plus Gaining the Advantage and The Multiphase Survey on Wranngar. I killed Clefthoof in Nagrand for Gaining the Advanatge and also got the meat I needed for the daily cooking out of that. I did The Multiphase Survey too while I was there.

The daily fishing had me heading out to Lake Sunspring (34,43) in Nagrand in search of the World's Largest Mudfish. I got one in 17 casts on Wranngar and 21 casts on Gomorra. Took quite a few casts on both but I'm not complaining as you catch some good fish there. When I turned those in to Old Man Barlo (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest for my Bag of Fishing Treasures Wranngar got 6g80s27c, 2 Elixirs of Water Walking and a Noble's Monocle which I sold to a vendor for 11 gold. Gomorra got 7g21s34c, 4 Sharpened Fish Hooks and a Beautiful Glass Eye that had the initials C.S. on the back. I sold that to a vendor for 18 gold. Not great rewards today but I will keep doing it as there are still a lot of good rewards to be had. The 2 Ring sells for around 2800 gold on the auction house and I will definitely sell that when I get it.

I did the daily cooking while I was in Nagrand doing the other quests. I had gotten the meat I needed for both on Wranngar while I was doing Gaining the Advantage. I just flew over to the Ancestral Grounds (25,59) and cooked my Spiritual Soup then headed back to The Rokk (61,15) in Shattrath and turned it in for my reward. On top of the 7g59s this quest pays they each picked Crate of Meat for their reward and Wranngar got 7 pieces of Serpent Flesh, 8 Chunks o' Basilisk and 2 Large Fangs. Gomorra got 7 pieces of Clefthoof Meat, 8 pieces of Buzzard Meat and a pair of Patchwork Gloves. I cooked up all the meat and put it in the guild bank for anyone who needs it.
