Daily Fishing - Dangerously Delicious 3/3/10

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had Dangerously Delicious for Brieanna's daily cooking quest. This one is pretty easy and has the potential to add quite a bit of excitement to you fishing trip. This one is done in Wintergrasp, the combat zone.

This one had me taking the flight path from Dalaran to Wintergrasp. Once there I set to fishing right next to where you land. I used to fish in another area but have just as good luck here and the flight point is right there too so it is more convenient. It didn't take me long to get the 10 Terrorfish I was after, I didn't keep track but I would say less than 25 casts, and I was on my way back to see Marcia.

I turned the 10 Terrorfish over to Marcia and she gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures for my trouble. Today it had 6g46s53c, 4 Pygmy Oil and a Velociraptor Skull in it. Hardly worth the effort of flying all the way to Wintergrasp, going into the combat zone, and fishing for 5 minutes, but you take the good with the bad and I have already gotten some good rewards from this daily.

Sewer Stew - Daily Cooking 3/3/10

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, had Sewer Stew for Brieanna's daily cooking quest. This is a nice easy one and the only one you need to leave Dalaran for, assuming you keep some meat on hand for the daily's.

This had me taking the Violet Gate down to Crystalsong Forest, then flew over to the ruins directly below Dalaran to pick my Crystalsong Carrots. I only needed 4 and it didn't take me long at all to get them today. Once I had the 4 I needed I took the gate back up to Dalaran and hit the bank for some Chilled Meat, the recipe calls for 4. I built a fire right there in the bank and cooked up my stew.

I took the stew down to Ajay Green at the Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly and exchanged it for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 3 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it. A pretty good haul today.

Daily Fishing - Blood is Thicker 3/2/10

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had Blood Is Thicker for Brieanna. Another easy one with a little travel time involved.

This one had me taking the flight path from Dalaran to Unu'pe in the Borean Tundra. Once there I flew inland until I spotted a Marsh Caribou. What you need to do for this quest is kill something the Druids protect, which will get you covered in blood. Just make sure you don't go near the Druids while you are covered in blood, they are tree huggers but not above killing someone covered in blood. Anyway, the first one I killed didn't do the trick, you have to have some good close up contact with it to get covered in blood. The second one did the trick though and I was on my way back to the shore. At the shore I jumped in the water, washing the blood off and making a blood pool. I fished in the blood pool until I caught 5 Bloodtooth Frenzy. Once I had those I hearthed back to Dalaran and went to see Marcia.

I turned the 5 Bloodtooth Frenzy over to her and she gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures for my trouble. I keep hoping to get something good and sometimes I do. Today was not one of those days. My Bag of Fishing Treasures had 7g34s22c, a Glow Worm, 2 Worthless Pieces of White Glass and 3 Deviate Fish. Certainly nothing to write home about there.

Cheese for Glowergold - Daily Cooking 3/2/10

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, had Cheese for Glowergold for Brieanna's daily cooking quest. This is a pretty easy one, personally I find the Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses hard to target but at least it doesn't use any of my mats.

This one had me running around Dalaran looking for Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses. You can find them in most the shops, inns, anywhere people may leave them laying around. I got 4 before I even left A Hero's Welcome today. I got the other 2 in One More Glass when I went to get the piece of Aged Dalaran Limburger this one calls for. Once I had all the ingredients I combined them on the platter, supplied when I picked up the quest, to make a wine and cheese platter.

I took the wine and cheese platter and delivered it to Ranid Glowergold (36,28) at the Leatherworkers in the Magus Commerce Exchange in exchange for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 4 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it. Not a bad return on this one today.

Daily Fishing - The Ghostfish 3/1/10

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, sent Brieanna to Sholazar Basin to catch the elusive Ghostfish. The daily she gave her was The Ghostfish. This is another easy daily but not so quick, there is quite a bit of travel time involved.

As I said this had me heading to Sholazar Basin. I took the flight path out of Dalaran to Rivers Heart in Sholazar Basin, then flew up to my spot up top and a little northwest of the flight point. Once there I set right to fishing until I caught a Phantom Ghostfish. I ate that right away as it is on a timer that starts clocking as soon as you loot it, you have 60 seconds before it disappears. Eating the Phantom Ghostfish puts you into a state called Invisibility, it is kind of a surreal state, you would have to experience it to understand.

I hearthed back to Dalaran and went to tell Marcia that I had solved the mystery. She was pretty impressed and gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures for my troubles. Today my Bag of Fishing Treasures had 7g2s6c, 3 Elixirs of Water Walking, a Velociraptor Skull, 4 Deviate Fish and 2 Runic Mana Potions. All pretty much junk except the Elixirs of Water Walking and the Runic Mana Potions. I do keep the Deviate Fish and make Savory Deviate Delight out of them too, I get 22-25 gold a stack for them on the auction house.

Infused Mushroom Meatloaf - Daily Cooking 3/1/10

Today when Brieanna went to see Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, for the daily cooking, she got Infused Mushroom Meatloaf. This is a quick simple one that doesn't use too many of my mats.

This had me heading down into the sewers to pick Infused Mushrooms. The recipe calls for 4 and it didn't take me long at all to get them. Once again it seemed like no one else was doing while I was. I guess that is one of the benefits of living in the U.S. and being on an Oceanic server, everyone is sleeping while I am doing it. Once I had the 4 I needed I headed back up top and hit the bank for the 2 pieces of Chilled Meat I needed. I built a fire in the bank and cooked my meatloaf right there.

I took the meatloaf over and delivered it to Orton Bennet, upstairs at Curiosities and Moore in exchange for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag which today had 4 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it. Not a bad haul today. I was able to get another recipe today too, that leaves only 6 or 7 of the Northrend recipes I don't have yet.

Gatekeeper

Brieanna got her red core hound from The Molten Core the other day. She named him Gatekeeper. That was the last one she needed to complete the set. She now has the red, white and green core hounds. I really like them as hunter pets. You have to be spec'd full Beast Master with the point in exotic pets to tame one as your pet. I had a couple friends help me get this one. Molten Core is an instance/dungeon which makes this one the hardest one to get.

The first one I got was The Kurken. He is found in Stillpine Hold in the Draenei starting area. He is a level 12 when you tame him but then he jumps to 5 levels below you. She named this one Nightmare. I loved it in the battlegrounds with this one when I was in the 71-79 slot. I would just send it after someone and it would kill them. I don't use the core hounds in the battlegrounds much anymore, I usually fight in Survival spec and lose my exotic pets so I use my wolf I have had since level 18 or so. He does well.

Uvuros was the second one she tamed. She named this one Labyrinth. This one is found in Shadowmoon Valley. He was a level 70 elite before taming. I wish I had a picture of this one before it was tamed, core hounds are HUGE before they are tamed, then they shrink. I had a friend, Leonvx, help me get this one. He bubbled and healed me while I tamed it. It takes 20 seconds to tame a pet and one like this can easily kill you in that amount of time.

Daily Fishing - Jewel of the Sewers 2/28/10

Today when Brieanna went to see what Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had for her she got Jewel Of The Sewers. This is an easy one and the only daily fishing quest you don't have to leave Dalaran for.

This had me heading down into the sewers below Dalaran, in the Underbelly, to my spot at the Black Market. I always have good luck there and there is rarely ever anyone else fishing there. Today I got the piece of Corroded Jewelry I was after in 7 casts. That only took a couple minutes and I was on my way back up to see Marcia. I traded her the piece of Corroded Jewelry for a Bag of Fishing Treasures, which today had 7g28s80c, 3 Pygmy Oil and an Unusual Compass in it. Not the best return on this one today.

Cheese for Glowergold - Daily Cooking 2/28/10

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, had Cheese for Glowergold for Brieanna's daily cooking quest. This used to be my least favorite but it has risen in the ranks because it does not use any of my mats although I still find the Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses hard to target.

This one has me running all over Dalaran looking for Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses. I usually get all 6 of them between A Hero's Welcome, Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly and One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop. I also get the piece of Aged Dalaran Limburger at One More Glass. If I can't find the 6 I need in those places I will hit The Legerdemain for the rest.

Once I have all the ingredients I combine them, on the platter supplied when I picked up the quest, to make a wine and cheese platter. It took me 7 casts today to get my piece of Corroded Jewelry. Brieanna's fishing skill is 450 now so she should have no more problem fishing anywhere.

Once I had the piece of Corroded Jewelry I headed back up to see Marcia. I exchanged the Piece of Corroded Jewelry for a Bag of Fishing Treasures. Today my Bag of Fishing Treasures had 7g59s3c, 4 Pygmy Oil, a Battered Jungle Hat and 3 Deviate Fish. Not a great haul today. I keep hoping to get a Jeweled Fishing Pole or some Eternium Fishing Line, maybe even a Strand Crawler, but no luck yet.

Sewer Stew - Daily Cooking 2/27/10

Today the daily cooking quest was Sewer Stew. I did it on Brieanna.

Kalu'ak Fishing Dreby 2/26/10

Brieanna took part in the Kalu'ak Fishing Dreby today. It was the first fishing derby any of my characters had ever been in. The objective is to catch a Blacktip Shark and return to hand it in, in Dalaran, before anyone else.

The person holding the event says "You can catch a Blacktip Shark anywhere you catch Pygmy Suckerfish". I headed over to my spot in Sholazar Basin and it took me 40 minutes to catch my Blacktip Shark. I hearthed back to Dalaran and went to see the event organizer. Needless to say I wasn't the first one to hand one in, but I did get a consolation prize of a Bag of Fishing Treasures, so it wasn't for nothing.

The Bag of Fishing Treasures had 9g19s11c, 3 Pygmy Oil and a New Age Painting signed by Marcia Chase which I sold to a vendor for 25 gold. Not much of a reward for the 40 minutes I spent but it was still exciting to participate and I will probably do it again next week.

I also got Brieanna's fishing skill leveled up to 450 during the fishing derby today and that was worth it right there.
