Daily Fishing - Monsterbelly Appetite 1/3/10

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had Monsterbelly Appetite for the daily cooking quest. I did it on both Wranngar and Gomorra.

This had me taking the flight path from Dalaran to Un'upe then flying out to sea in a southeasterly direction to the icebergs. Once I got there I flew around until I found a school of Monsterbelly. I fished that until I caught a Bloated Monsterbelly.

I took that back to Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange in Dalaran, this is the only daily fishing that does not get handed back in to Marcia, and exchanged it for a Bag of Fishing Treasures. She is going to attempt to reunite the arm with the fisherman who lost it.

Today Wrann got 7g96s38c, a Glow Worm, 3 Pieces of Worthless Violet Glass and 3 Deviate Fish. Not a great haul for Wrann on this one.

Gom got 10g59s52c, a Glow Worm and 2 Solid Gold Coins. Not a great day for Gom either.

Mustard Dogs - Daily Cooking 1/2/10

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, had Mustard Dogs! for Wranngar.

This one had me running around Dalaran picking Wild Mustard. This can be found in all the grassy areas of Dalaran. I had no problem getting the 4 this one calls for today. Once I had those I headed over to the bank to grab 4 pieces of Rhino Meat to make the Rhino Dogs this one also calls for. When I had the dogs made I combined them with the Wild Mustard in the supplied Empty Picnic Basket by right clicking on it. That made my Mustard Dog Basket!.

I took that over to Archmage Pentarus (68,41) at Krasus' Landing and exchanged it for 9g93s, 2 Dalaran Cooking Awards and a Small Spice Bag with 3 Northern Spices in it. If I look at the extra award as 10 Northern Spices I guess this was a pretty good haul.

Daily Fishing - The Ghostfish 1/2/10

Today Wranngar got The Ghostfish for his daily fishing quest from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran. This one takes some travel time.

I took the flight path out of Dalaran heading for River's Heart in Sholazar Basin. When I landed there I flew up top a little northwest of the flight path to my spot. I got my Phantom Ghostfish on the 7th cast today, so there wasn't a lot of time wasted fishing, just flying. Because I had recently used my hearthstone I had to fly back to Dalaran.

Once back in Dalaran I headed over to tell Marcia what I had found out, and she gave me a Bag of Fishing Treasures for my trouble. Today my Bag of Fishing Treasures had 7g26s26c, 2 Elixirs of Water Walking, a Whale Statue that I sold to a vendor for 11 gold, and 4 Deviate Fish. Not a bad haul today with the statue.

Daily Cooking - Convention at the Legerdemain 1/1/10

Wranngar ended up with Convention at the Legerdemain today for his daily cooking when he went to see Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome. An easy one but it takes a lot of mats.

I ran over to the bank and grabbed 4 Chilled Meat to make the 4 Northern Stew this one calls for. I cooked it up at a fire someone had outside the bank then headed over to One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop, to grab a jug of wine. I found it behind the counter today.

I took the wine and stew over to Arille Azuregaze, the bartender at The Legerdemain and exchanged them for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 5 Northern Spices in it. A pretty good haul today. There is really nothing except the spices that I can use from this daily until they add something else, I got everything else it has to offer.

Brieanna - Level 55 1/1/10

Brieanna hit level 55 today. I was questing in Winterspring at the time. I could head back to the Plaguelands now and quest but I think I am going to finish up some more quests here first, I would rather quest here than there anyway.

Her skinning is up to 373 now, only 2 more points before I can head to Northrend and train for Grand Master Skinning. She will be able to skin anything she comes across in Outlands as the skinning cap for there (Burning Crusades) is 375. Her Herbalism still needs some work, I think that is stalled at 176. I will work on that too.

When she hit 55 I headed to Ironforge to put all the leather I had on the Auction house. I had 3 stacks of Thick Leather and 4 Stacks of Rugged leather. I put the Thick Leather up for a buyout of 6g50s a stack and the Rugged Leather for a buyout of 20g a stack. That will bring in around 100g for her.

I only have 3 more levels until she is in Outlands and 25 more levels to 80. It seems like a lot but it won't take too long.

Blood is Thicker - Daily Fishing 12/31/09

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had Blood Is Thicker for Wranngar's daily fishing. This one is easy but takes a little time to travel to Un'upe.

I took the flight path to Un'upe in the Borean Tundra, then flew inland until I spotted a Marsh Caribou to slaughter. Killing that got me covered in blood. I flew back to the shore and jumped in. That washed the blood off me and created a blood pool. I fished the blood pool until I caught the 5 Bloodtooth Frenzy this quest calls for.

I took those back to Marcia and turned them in for a Bag of Fishing Treasures. Today my Bag of Fishing Treasures had 10g81s54c, a Glow Worm and a New Age Painting signed by Marcia Chase which I sold to a vendor for 25 gold. Not a bad haul for this one today.

Infused Mushroom Meatloaf - Daily Cooking 12/31/09

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, had Infused Mushroom Meatloaf for Wranngar's daily cooking quest. I like this one, it's fast, easy and doesn't take a lot of mats.

This one had me heading down into the sewers to pick some Infused Mushrooms. This quest calls for 4 and I got them pretty quick. I didn't see anyone else picking them while I was down there which always makes it go faster. Once I had my 4 I headed up to the bank to grab a couple pieces of Chilled Meat to cook them up with. I built a fire outside the bank and cooked my meatloaf right there.

With my meatloaf in hand I headed over to see Orton Bennet, upstairs at Curiosities and Moore, and exchanged it for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 5 Northern Spices in it. A pretty decent return on this one today.

Jewel of the Sewers - Daily Fishing 12/30/09

Today when Wranngar went to see Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, she gave him Jewel Of The Sewers for his daily fishing quest. This is the only daily fishing quest you don't have to leave Dalaran to do.

I headed to the Black Market in the sewers to fish for the piece of Corroded Jewelry this quest is looking for. I always have good luck there, usually catching one in less than 10 casts. Today was no exception, I got my Corroded Jewelry on the 8th cast. I also got some garbage fish and a couple vials in the process, it is like a medical waste dump down there.

I took the Corroded Jewelry back to Marcia and exchanged it for a Bag of Fishing Treasures which today had 7g55s39c, 3 Elixirs of Water Walking and a Diamond-tipped Cane in it. Not a great return on this one today. I sent the Elixirs of Water Walking to Brieanna though as I have had a couple situations where I wished I had them on her in the past.

Daily Cooking - Infused Mushroom Meatloaf 12/30/09

Today Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, had Infused Mushroom Meatloaf for Wranngar's daily cooking quest. This is an easy one that doesn't use too many mats.

This one had me heading down into the sewers below Dalaran to pick Infused Mushrooms. This quest calls for 4 of them. I saw other people picking them while I was doing it but I had no problem getting the 4 I needed quickly. When I had those I headed over to the bank to grab 2 pieces of Chilled Meat to cook them up with. I built a fire right outside the bank and cooked my meatloaf.

With meatloaf in hand I headed over to see Orton Bennet, upstairs at Curiosities and Moore, and exchanged it for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 4 Northern Spices in it. Not a bad haul today. I really need the spices, I have less than 200 in the bank.

Monsterbelly Appetite - Daily Fishing 12/29/09

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had Monsterbelly Appetite for Wranngar. At least it wasn't Blood Is Thicker again but you fly to the same flight point so it takes the same amount of time anyway.

This one had me taking the flight path to Un'upe then flying out to sea in a southeasterly direction to the icebergs out there. Once there I located a school of Deep Sea Monsterbelly using fish finding. Once you learn fish finding it is found in the tracking menu attached to your mini-map. I fished that until I caught a Bloated Monsterbelly, which I opened up to find the Severed Arm I need for this quest.

I took the Severed Arm back to Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange in Dalaran, and exchanged it for a Bag of Fishing Treasures. Today my Bag of Fishing Treasures had 8g93s55c, a Glow Worm and 3 Pieces of Worthless Orange Glass. Not a great haul today, better luck tomorrow hopefully.

Brieanna - Level 54 12/29/09

I worked on Brieanna some more today and got her to level 54. She is moving along well.

I leveled in Winterspring, I did a bunch of quests there and probably have a couple more days there before I am done. This is a pretty nice area to level/quest in. The quests aren't too hard to solo and the mobs are spread out so you don't aggro 4 or 5 trying to kill 1. That only happened once tonight, I was killing a Chillwind Ravager when two more came over to help. The one I was killing was level 58, 5 levels higher than me, and the 2 that joined in were 57 and 58. I got 2 of them down before the last one got me. If I had popped a health pot instead of mana I might have made it, but I was out of mana at the time and it seemed like the thing to do. If I could have gotten it off me for a few seconds I could have used a bandage, I have Heavy Netherweave bandages that heal 3400 health over 8 seconds, but damage taken breaks the channel.

I went to Ironforge after I leveled so I could train and see if there were any equipment upgrades in the auction house I could use. There was only a pair of boots which I got. There are 2 nice epic daggers in there but they are 190 and 200 gold each. I can't see spending 400 gold on something I will throw away in another 8-10 levels. The ones I have now are level 39 but are doing me well enough as I try not to let anything get close enough to me that I have to use them. Brieanna dual wields daggers and they are pretty fast, their speed is 1.40.

From there I was off to One More Glass to get a Jug of Wine. I found it right inside the door today. One thing I can say about this one, it's quick.

Brieanna - Level 53 12/28/09

I worked on Brieanna some more today and got her to level 53.

Everything I had in Western Plaguelands was red and too hard for me to solo so I headed over to Felwood, in Kalimdor, to see if there was anything there for me. I hit the jackpot there, there were a lot of quests for me to do there giving a lot of good XP. I did everything I could get in Felwood and worked my way into Winterspring. I am currently questing there and had to drop a few older quests to take new ones because my quest log was full. I will be there for a day or two before heading back to the Plaguelands for the final run until I am 58 and can head to Outlands. At that time I will drop all the quests I have and start fresh in Outlands.
