Alterac Valley - Again

A while ago I swore off battlegrounds because QQ Premades were screwing up the queues so bad you couldn't get an evenly matched BG. Most the Alterac Valley's I was in would start off with 10 Alliance against 40 Horde. Out of the 10 Alliance 6 would be AFK so you were basically starting off outnumbered 10 to 1. The reason for that is QQ Premades loading up the battleground queues then not accepting when the queue popped. I started doing dungeons after that and liked those. It has been about a year since I was in a battleground and I didn't think I was missing it at all.

Last night I went into Alterac Valley (40x40) on Brieanna just to see how the battlegrounds were now (I was bored). It wasn't too bad actually, I had a great time and did another one after that. In my first battleground in a year I came in 4th in damage and 5th in killing blows, I guess I didn't forget too much in the year I was away.

I am going to do a few more to get the honor I need to upgrade one of my rings, my last piece of 333 gear. Once I have that I probably won't bother with any more BG's, but it was nice to get in there again for a little while.

Brieanna - Level 57 and Grand Master Skinning 1/25/10

Brieanna got her Grand Master Skinning training today when she reached 375 skinning. That means, before ever questing in Outlands, she will be able to skin anything in Outlands. I am sure she will be able to skin everything in Northrend long before she gets there. I had to take the boat from Stormwind to Northrend to get my training, it cost me 35 gold.

I also got her Herbalism up to 238 tonight. I ran all over the place and had to train at 225 to go to 300. I am at the point where I can pick a lot of the Herbs in the area's where I am questing again, but I want to get it up to 250-275 so I don't run into the problem of not being able to pick something. I am going to have to really keep on top of it this time because I hate having to go back and level up a profession. The only plus side to it I can see is the mobs don't even see me when I am there as long as I don't bump into them.

I also got her to level 57 tonight. I did that before I worked on her Herbalism and after I got my Grand Master Skinning training. I was in Western Plaguelands when she leveled. One more level until I am in Outlands, 3 more levels before she is fighting in Alterac Valley. Before she leveled I was questing in Winterspring. I had one quest there where I was killing level 59 and 60 elites. It was close but I did it, they were 3 and 4 levels above me at the time and elite.

Brieanna - Level 56 1/19/10

I played Brieanna for awhile tonight and got her to level 56. She has a lot of rested XP as I haven't played her in awhile so the bars go by pretty quick. I was questing in Western Plaguelands on her. I didn't really do much after she leveled, I went to Ironforge and trained, that was about it. She will probably sit for awhile now until I get bored again. She is only 2 levels away from Outlands now.

Brieanna - Level 55 1/1/10

Brieanna hit level 55 today. I was questing in Winterspring at the time. I could head back to the Plaguelands now and quest but I think I am going to finish up some more quests here first, I would rather quest here than there anyway.

Her skinning is up to 373 now, only 2 more points before I can head to Northrend and train for Grand Master Skinning. She will be able to skin anything she comes across in Outlands as the skinning cap for there (Burning Crusades) is 375. Her Herbalism still needs some work, I think that is stalled at 176. I will work on that too.

When she hit 55 I headed to Ironforge to put all the leather I had on the Auction house. I had 3 stacks of Thick Leather and 4 Stacks of Rugged leather. I put the Thick Leather up for a buyout of 6g50s a stack and the Rugged Leather for a buyout of 20g a stack. That will bring in around 100g for her.

I only have 3 more levels until she is in Outlands and 25 more levels to 80. It seems like a lot but it won't take too long.

Brieanna - Level 54 12/29/09

I worked on Brieanna some more today and got her to level 54. She is moving along well.

I leveled in Winterspring, I did a bunch of quests there and probably have a couple more days there before I am done. This is a pretty nice area to level/quest in. The quests aren't too hard to solo and the mobs are spread out so you don't aggro 4 or 5 trying to kill 1. That only happened once tonight, I was killing a Chillwind Ravager when two more came over to help. The one I was killing was level 58, 5 levels higher than me, and the 2 that joined in were 57 and 58. I got 2 of them down before the last one got me. If I had popped a health pot instead of mana I might have made it, but I was out of mana at the time and it seemed like the thing to do. If I could have gotten it off me for a few seconds I could have used a bandage, I have Heavy Netherweave bandages that heal 3400 health over 8 seconds, but damage taken breaks the channel.

I went to Ironforge after I leveled so I could train and see if there were any equipment upgrades in the auction house I could use. There was only a pair of boots which I got. There are 2 nice epic daggers in there but they are 190 and 200 gold each. I can't see spending 400 gold on something I will throw away in another 8-10 levels. The ones I have now are level 39 but are doing me well enough as I try not to let anything get close enough to me that I have to use them. Brieanna dual wields daggers and they are pretty fast, their speed is 1.40.

Wranngar - 75,000 Lifetime Kills

I passed the 75,000 lifetime kills mark on Wranngar tonight, that puts me over three quarters of the way to the achievement 100000 Honorable Kills and my title, "of the Alliance". I have been doing between 10 and 30 battlegrounds a day lately. That is giving me between 700 and 1,500 kills a day. I will have my title this year I'm sure. That is the last achievement you get for quantity of kills. After that I will work on getting all the rest of the PvP and battleground achievements done.

The Battle for Alterac Valley 11/24/09

I fought in 26 battles tonight in Alterac Valley on Wranngar. We had 16 wins and 10 losses. The Alliance was doing Ok in there tonight for the most part. Alterac Valley was also my daily battleground today.

We had one battle we won on reinforcements, we were just slaughtering the Horde. We drove them back from SHGY all the way to the Frostwolf Relief Hut then we took that away from them too, they were rezzing in their cave :). That was a great battle, I ended up getting 276 honorable kills out of that one. I got a lot of honor tonight too. We did a few Blitz's and a few almost Blitz's where we won fast but didn't do it in under 6 minutes. The Horde did a few Blitz's as well. Lately they seem to be trying to Blitz a lot. Over 3/4 of the battles I was in I would say they tried the Blitz. They were not successful on all of them, obviously, but we did have some pretty short battles we lost.

In one of the battles I was in we had an alleged Warrior 'Tank' tanking Drek. They said I was taunting Drek off of them. What I used was Demoralizing Roar which reduces his armor but no real threat. It gives the lightning bolt over his head when I do it and they thought I was taunting him off them. The problem was they were just a crap tank that couldn't hold him. He kept getting away from them and killing the healers. If Demoralizing Roar can pull a mob off you when you're tanking you should just stick to defending towers or DPS and leave the tanking to someone who can hold him. And if I was pulling him off he would have been on me, not the healers. Just some sorry excuse for a player trying to blame someone else for their incompetence.

The Battle for Wintergrasp 11/24/09

I fought in 3 Wintergrasp battles tonight on Wranngar, 2 wins and 1 loss.

In one of the wins we were defending and in the loss we were also defending. In the last battle I fought in the Horde were defending the keep and we won that one. The secret when the Horde are defending the keep seems to be to get their southern towers down as fast as possible. Once you have those 3 towers down it is pretty much wrapped up from what I can see. All that's left after that is clean up. Of course the Horde are trying to destroy the southern towers when we are defending the keep so we have to defend those as best we can as well.

The Battle for Alterac Valley 11/23/09

The battle for Alterac Valley wasn't going well at all tonight. I fought in 15 battles on Wranngar, 5 wins and 10 losses, Ouch!

The Alliance just couldn't seem to get it together tonight. We had the usual problems, AFK, not working together as a team, people taking SHGY early in the game and, the usual, not having enough people in a tower to hold it when the Horde came to back-cap it.

I have changed my opinion on SHGY. Sometimes it seems to work when it gets capped by the Alliance. The times that seem to work out Ok are when we have all our towers capped or when we have IBT and TP capped and the Frostwolf towers almost capped. You still run the risk of all the Horde rezzing in their cave and piling into Frostwolf Keep but if you have a lot of people there it is not too bad, gets you a lot of kills :). It seems to be a good idea too when we are winning on reinforcements. When we have SHGY it seems like everyone wants to stay there and defend it, that's why taking it early in the battle hardly ever works out. But if we have our towers capped and the Horde ran us out of Frostwolf Keep then it helps us keep them from capping IWB and SHB. It also keeps everyone close to Dun Baldar so we can get our bunkers back. It is a risky situation and you have to play it by ear.

Unfortunately we did have a few times where it was held right from the start of the battle and cost us the win. No one ever stays to guard Iceblood Graveyard or Snowfall Graveyard and sometimes that is Ok as long as we're not holding SHGY. If we are not holding SHGY the Horde don't seem too interested in those GY's. People will guard Frostwolf Graveyard but usually half heartedly. As long as not too many Horde show up we can keep it. FWGY can be an important one to keep as it keeps the Horde from rezzing and running right back into FW Keep if they decide to defend the Keep.

Anyway I did get some good honor tonight and a lot of kills, I think I ended up with over 1,400 kills for the night. I am on track to get my 100,000 lifetime kills and my "of the Alliance" title this year.

The Battle for the Isle of Conquest 11/23/09

I decided to spend some time fighting in the Isle of Conquest tonight to get more familiar with it. I haven't done a lot of battles in there yet, I have previously only fought in there when it was my daily, and want to learn more about it. I went in on Wranngar and we won the first 2 battles I was in and lost the last one. As in any battleground there were a lot of AFK in there. That problem just isn't going to go away or get any better I guess.

We won the 2 battles by breaching the Horde keep and killing the Horde General. I don't even know his name off hand but I will get that along with some screen shots of him. I was in on both of those kills. In the battle we lost the Horde breached our keep and killed our General. I was manning one of the cannons at the top of one of the towers in our keep for awhile tonight, that was a lot of fun. You use the cannons to lay down a wall of fire and also launch rockets at the siege equipment the Horde are bringing in to breach our keep.

The Battle for Wintergrasp 11/23/09

I fought in 2 Wintergrasp battles tonight on Wranngar, one win and one loss. In the one we won I got in at the start, actually a few minutes before the start, so I was there when it all started. We barely won that one but in the end we did.

In the second battle I was in, the one we lost, I got there about 1 minute before it ended. I really didn't have time to do much besides run around the courtyard and kill a couple people before it was all over. I didn't bother to stay around and kill Horde afterwards, that is only fun when you win.

I am really not familiar enough with Wintergrasp yet to start giving any kind of opinion on it but I have been doing all of them I can so I can learn more about it.

The Battle for Alterac Valley 11/22/09

The battle still rages on in Alterac Valley. I fought in 15 battles on Wranngar tonight, 9 wins and 6 losses. It is hard to believe the Alliance are still making the same mistakes after all this time but they are.

We had a couple losses because of someone taking SHGY which usually results in a turtle if they do it early in the battle. Another thing the Alliance does time and again is start a cap on something then walk away from it while it is clocking. Everything in Alterac Valley takes 4 minutes to cap. The main places they do this is Iceblood Graveyard, Snowfall Graveyard, and the East and West Frostwolf Towers. The Towers are the stupidest part, they will click on the flag, anyone can do that, then they jump down to stand on the hill. A single Rogue or Druid in stealth mode can go up into the Tower and back-cap it without any opposition and they do it time and time again. The Horde know this, it is about the only place a single Horde will go and back-cap something. This happens time and again and people still do it. On the average we usually cap those 2 Towers 3 or 4 times before they burn... Another mistake they make all the time is leaving 1, or at most 2, people to guard IBT and TP. The Horde always bring at least 3 if not 4 or 5 people to back-cap either of those towers but people still do it every battle...

In spite of all the problems and stupidity we did have some good battles tonight. We won a few more battles on reinforcements, I am wondering if this will end when the holiday weekend is over. The only reason I can think of is the Horde have their share of weekend warriors and AFK although the Alliance does seem to be playing better in some of the battles I have been in. We still have the stupidity of taking and holding SHGY and the problem with people leaving towers undefended/underdefended while they are capping, I don't think that will ever end.

I fought in a Wintergrasp battle tonight, the Horde really suck in there. We were defending again and we had no problem holding the Keep while destroying all their towers.

My daily battleground was WSG today. I wasn't going to do it but then decided to give it a shot and see how we were doing in there. To say we were doing poorly would be a gross understatement. Everyone was interested in fighting in the middle. There was no flag carrier support and there was no attempt made to get our flag back. I hate WSG and dropped the quest after that one loss. I may never go in there again. It was almost like they were farming HK's in there which is just stupid, if you are going to farm HK's you go to Alterac Valley.

The Battle for Alterac Valley 11/21/09

The battle for Alterac Valley rages on. It is still the Holiday weekend in Alterac Valley and there are a lot of battles being fought there. I fought in 31 battles on Wranngar today, 17 wins and 14 losses. It was also my daily battleground again today.

For the most part the Alliance were doing Ok in there. Both the Alliance and Horde were doing a lot of Blitzing. We did at least 6 today and the Horde probably did that many too in the battles I was in. The biggest problem the Alliance is still having is not being able to work together as a team, that is what causes most of our losses. A high percentage of the rest are people taking and holding SHGY. The rest are just poor playing and AFK. There were a lot of AFK in all the battles I was in. People are reporting them more now though, I think it is because they are removed after a minute of being flagged inactive. Now when I report to the team someone is AFK I also add, "lets get them out of here so we can get someone in here who will fight", that seems to motivate people to report them.

We had some really good battles that we won on resources. The Alliance have been winning more battles on resources than I have ever seen them win before. Usually we only win when we kill Drek. The Alliance has been playing a little better than usual lately too and that has a lot to do with it. I am almost going to be sorry to see this holiday weekend end, and that is not something you will hear me say often. I got a lot of kills this weekend and have passed the 70,000 lifetime honorable kills mark. I got a lot of honor too and upgraded a lot of my gear.

I fought in 2 Wintergrasp battles too, both of them wins. The first one I fought in the Horde were defending Winterguard Keep and we took it away from them. In the second battle I fought in we were defending the Keep and held onto it throughout the battle for another victory. I need 5 more marks to get another piece of gear I have my eye on, maybe I will get it tomorrow.

Battle In Alterac Valley 11/20/09

The daily battleground today was Alterac Valley. I did it on Wranngar and we won the second one I was in. I ended up fighting in 20 AV's, 10 wins and 10 losses. The new big thing now seems to be The Alterac Blitz. The only problem with that is the people saying "STRAIGHT TO DREK, DON'T STOP FOR ANYTHING" aren't bothering to check and see if we have a tank that can tank Drek at 200% health plus 4 Warmasters and 2 Frostwolves, and healers that can keep him alive, so half the time we get there and can't do anything. That was the case a few times today. We didn't necessarily lose those battles, we just didn't Blitz.

We had the usual problems of fighting in a battleground on it's holiday weekend, the weekend warriors and twice the AFK. People are starting to take an interest in reporting the AFK again it seems, maybe it is because they are AFK'd right out of the battleground after a minute.

We did have a couple wins on reinforcements and those were nice. Those were long battles with a lot of fighting and a lot of kills :). We pushed the Horde back from SPGY to SHGY then took SHGY in one reinforcement battle. I don't usually recommend taking SHGY but in this battle it was Ok because we were winning on reinforcements anyway. I got a lot of kills in that battle and another one. In the reinforcement battles we had to pile 8-10 people into IBT and TP to keep them. The Horde never go to take a tower back with just a couple, they always group up so they figure they will have anyone there outnumbered by at least 2 to 1. We surprised them a few times :). They don't even go to take a mine back unless there are at least 3 of them because they figure it was taken by 1 Alliance. I only got about 700 kills tonight in the battles I was in but I had a lot of fun.

I fought in 2 Wintergrasp battles. I should say I was in 2 Wintergrasp battles, I was in the first one from the start, a win, and got into the second one seconds before we lost. A mark is a mark though.

Alterac Valley - Daily Battleground 11/19/09

The daily battleground today was Alterac Valley. It also happened to be Alterac Valley's Holiday weekend and you know what that means, all the weekend warriors and twice the AFK. Unbelievably we won the first one I was in. I ended up fighting in 31 battles on Wranngar, 16 wins and 15 losses so we were running about 50%, although we had a long losing streak followed by a winning streak.

We won most of the battles by killing Drek but also won a few on reinforcements. We had the usual problems, a lot of AFK, people taking SHGY and causing us to get wiped out at Frostwolf Keep and the Alliance not working together. Usually at the start of the battle people will come up with a plan. It seems like most people agree with it. Then the gate goes up and people are spitting out other plans. That is where it falls apart because people no longer know what we are doing..... If the Alliance could just pick a plan and stick to it, like I am sure the Horde do most times, we could win a lot more. I am beginning to believe the rumor that the Alliance is made up of mostly children.

We did a few The Alterac Blitz but that fell apart when the group changed too much. You get to pretty much stay with the same group of people for awhile if you re-queue right away but eventually it filters out. We did them right in a row but then the group got too thin, including people who said you can't do the Blitz in a pug group....

I fought in 2 Wintergrasp battles too, both of them wins. We were defending in both battles and did a fine job :). I needed 5 more Wintergrasp Mark of Honor to get my Titan-Forged Rune of Determination. That replaced my Medallion of the Alliance.

All in all I ended up getting 1,471 honorable kills and 51,200 honor so it was a pretty good day.

Daily Fishing Quest - Northrend

The daily fishing quest from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran was Dangerously Delicious today. For this one you need to go into Wintergrasp and catch 10 Terrorfish. You are flagged for PvP (Player versus Player) the whole time you are in Wintergrasp.

I stuck to my original plan on Gomorra and took the flightpath to Fordragon Hold then flew over to the southeast corner of Wintergrasp where I got my 10 Terrorfish in less than 5 minutes. Instead of hearthing I decided to go see if I could find the flight path in Wintergrasp. I have it on Wranngar from fighting in there but have never fought in there on Gom. It took me a few minutes but I found it and flew back to Dalaran to turn in. We were in control of Wintergrasp at that time. I turned it in but didn't get anything great in my Bag of Fishing Treasures.

When it was time for Wranngar to do it I decided to fly right to the flight path in Wintergrasp and try fishing in the water right there. When I got there Wintergrasp was contested which means the Horde and Alliance were fighting over it. There were a lot of other people there fishing too but a lot of room so not really crowded. Around the time I got my 5th Terrorfish the Horde took control of Wintergrasp. I caught the last 5 I needed while the Horde controlled Wintergrasp, then flew back to Dalaran and turned in. Wrann didn't get anything worth mentioning in his Bag of Fishing Treasures either.

I would recommend, if you have the flight path, that you just fly right there and fish, if not, fly to Fordragon Hold and then fly over to the southeast corner of Wintergrasp to fish, then you can hearth out or go find the flight path. I didn't get the coords of the flight path but it is on the eastern side right near the GY.

Dangerously Delicious

I finally got Dangerously Delicious from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, for the daily fishing today. This one is by far the most dangerous of the daily fishing quests. For this quest you need to catch 10 Terrorfish and it seems the only place they can be found is in Wintergrasp, the Northrend PvP area.

I found a great spot that is set apart from the battleground area even though you get flagged as soon as you enter. You're in Wintergrasp, there's not much you can do about that, but I didn't see one single person while I was there. Wranngar can hold his own but it has been a looong time since I did any PvP on Gomorra.

I took the flight path to Fordragon Hold in Dragonblight. From there I flew southwest to the southeast corner of Wintergrasp. I flew over the Burning Cauldron and got dismounted for being in a no-fly zone but you get a parachute so it's not too bad. You want to try to land on the big piece of ice floating in the middle of the lake you are heading to. I missed on both Wranngar and Gomorra and ended up in the water but you should be able to do it :).

Once I got there I picked a spot right at the southeast end of the lake (77,70) and started fishing. From what I read you want to use a +100 lure even at maximum fishing. I didn't have any problem on Gom with his 422 fishing skill, +30 pole, +3 fishing line and +100 lure. That gave him a total of 555 fishing skill. It took me about 5 minutes on each to catch my 10 Terrorfish. Once I had my 10 Terrorfish I hearthed back to Dalaran and turned them in to Marcia Chase. The reward for this quest is a Bag of Fishing Treasures which can contain anything from pets to epic items to junk and anything in between.

So I had good luck in the southeast corner of Wintergrasp and got in and out on both without any PvP resistance. I did this during a time when we were in control of Wintergrasp, but where I was fishing I don't think it would have mattered if the Horde controlled it or even if we were in battle.

Update: I have had just as good luck flying into the Alliance flight point in Wintergrasp and fishing in the Sunken Ring right there. If you have the flight point it will be quicker and easier to just fly in, fish there, and fly out.

This was the last of the 5 daily fishing quests Marcia Chase had for me to do so when I turned these in on Gom and Wrann they both got the achievement Chasing Marcia.

Good Luck :)

Wintergrasp 2/15/09

I got back on Wranngar to see if I could get one more Wintergrasp in tonight. I got lucky, the battle was starting in 13 minutes. I joined a raid group and we all got buffed up, ate, and got ready for battle. I put out a Fish Feast which is always a big hit in the battlegrounds. When we started I believe we had 2 full raid groups, that would be 80 people total, plus another raid group started. I don't know what, if any, the limit is in Wintergrasp. We got in there and basically dominated the Horde. We were on offense meaning we were attacking the Keep and we got in pretty quick. We wiped out all the Horde that were inside trying to defend and then assaulted the Keep itself. We got in in no time and won the battle. It went really quick. The last one I was in earlier I got in while it was in progress and it lasted twice as long as this one did and we lost. I had no deaths in this battle thanks mostly to some really good healers but I got a bunch of kills and killing blows in :). I got another Stone Keeper's Shard bringing my grand total to 8.

Daily's 2/15/09

I did my daily cooking in Dalaran on Wranngar today which was Convention at the Legerdemain. This is a pretty easy one if the Jug of Wine spawns fast enough for you. Today it did for me, I went into the wine shop and there it was, only took a second. I cooked up some Northern Stew and delivered it. In exchange for doing that I got 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag which had 3 Northern Spices and 3 Baby Spice in it. Not a bad haul today for this daily.

I worked on my Reputation with the Kalu'ak. They have a fishing pole I want and you have to be exalted with them to get it. The pole is Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole. It adds +30 to your fishing skill and is a epic piece. It is pretty cool looking too. I did all the quests they have then did the 3 daily's they offer and now I am revered with them. It will take about about 12-13 days to get exalted with them from here.

I fought in some battlegrounds today. The daily battleground was Strand of the Ancients and we won the first, and only, one I fought in. I turned that in and got my honor and gold. I fought in two Arathi Basin too to try and get my marks to 100 as I had 97. We lost the first one and one the second one which gave me 98 marks on me and 3 in the mail I can not take..... Nice Blizzard. I guess I will have to lose 2 more to finish that out. Losing is what the Alliance seems to be good at in AB lately though so it shouldn't be hard. I fought in 7 Eye of the Storm tonight and we won 5 and lost 2. The 2 battles we lost were just really bad groups on the Alliance side. In the 5 wins we had a couple where we only had 2 towers and ran the flag a lot and a couple 3 and 4 caps. Overall we are still doing good in EoS. I fought in one Wintergrasp battle tonight too. We lost that one but I did get a couple of the daily's done so I now have 7 Stone Keeper's Shard. You can use these for valuable prizes :). I am still not really sure what is going on in there but I am starting to get a better understanding of it.

Wranngar 2/9/09

I got on Wranngar for a while tonight and got the daily cooking in Dalaran done. That was about it for daily's today. The daily cooking was Infused Mushroom Meatloaf again. I headed down into the Underbelly to get my 4 Infused Mushrooms and got them pretty quick. I headed over to the bank for a couple Chilled Meat to cook them up with. Once I had it cooked I delivered it in exchange for a Dalaran Cooking Award, 9g93s and a Small Spice Bag. Today the Small Spice Bag only had 3 Northern Spices in it. Not the best haul. I got another recipe today and cooked that. I now only have 8 recipes left until I get my chef title. There are 45 recipes in Northrend and you have to have, and have cooked, all of them to get the chef title.

I fought in my first Wintergrasp battle today. I was so focused on trying to figure out what was going on that I forgot take pictures. I went in there with the intention of taking lots of pictures but forgot all about that once I got in there. We won it. I think we were the defenders. I fought in 9 Eye of the Storm battles, 8 wins and 1 loss. The daily battleground today was Alterac Valley but I won't go in there anymore because of the imbalance in numbers when the battle starts. It doesn't take long to lose when we are outnumbered 4 to 1 and half our 10 players are AFK. In Eye of the Storm we were doing well for the most part although I was in a few groups where the outcome was questionable right until the end. They were leaving towers unguarded to go after more towers, way too many people were going for the flag instead of trying to get more towers or defending the ones we had. We also had some pretty good groups where we had 4 caps going on.

I did a bunch more fishing in the Underbelly under Dalaran on and off today. I did some fishing between battlegrounds to kind of break things up a little. While I was fishing someone else who was fishing right next to me got the Giant Sewer Rat and completed the I Smell A Giant Rat Achievement so I know I am in the right place, now I just need my turn. I got a lot of stuff fishing today, it is like a toxic waste dump down there with all the vials you fish up. It was funny because I was fishing right next to a spawn point for an Infused Mushroom so people were constantly stopping by for that. All in all today I caught:

126 Sewer Carp
48 Magic Eater
12 Empty Vial
10 Partially Eaten Fish
7 Drowned Rat
2 Leaded Vial
1 Crystal Vial
1 Imbued Vial

Really nothing useful there at all but I am going to keep plugging away at this one a little every day until I get my Giant Sewer Rat. It is a nice break to run down there and do a little fishing between battles.
