Daily Fishing - The Ghostfish 2/18/10

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had The Ghostfish for our daily fishing quest. This one has the farthest travel distance and time out of all the daily fishing quests. I did it on Wranngar, Gomorra and Brieanna today.

This one had me taking the flight path out of Dalaran to Sholazar Basin. From there I flew up top and a little northwest of where I landed to my spot. I didn't take me too long to catch my Phantom Ghostfish today, Gomorra got his in 8 casts, Wranngar got his in 8 casts and Brieanna hers in 18 casts. She is still taking the most time to catch things but I attribute that to her fishing skill only being 370. I ate the Phantom Ghostfish as soon as I caught it because it is on a timer and you only have 60 seconds to eat it before it disappears. Eating it puts you into a state called Invisibility which is a somewhat surreal state. I hearthed back to Dalaran to tell Marcia what I found out. She gave us all a Bag of Fishing Treasures for our trouble.

Today Wranngar's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 10g51s41c, 5 Pygmy Oil, a Tower Key which I vendored for 16g66s66c, and a Waterlogged Recipe. Waterlogged Recipe starts a quest to deliver the recipe to Christi Stockton, the wine vendor at One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop in Dalaran. She gives you 13g23s and 5 Dalaran Cooking Awards for it. Not a bad deal at all.

Gomorra's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 10g23s98c, 5 Pygmy Oil and 2 Worthless PIeces of Orange Glass in it. He didn't make out so well today.

Brieanna's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 8g83s81c, 5 Pygmy Oil and an Unusual Compass in it, she didn't make out so well either.

Shattrath Daily Fishing - Crocolisks in the City 2/18/10

Today when Brieanna went to see Old Man Barlo, (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest, to pick up the Outlands daily fishing quest he gave her Crocolisks in the City. This is an easy one, you just have to take the Shattrath portal to Stormwind.

In Stormwind I headed over to my spot in the canals and got right to fishing. It took me 8 casts to get the Baby Crocolisk I was after. I was on my way back to Shattrath after that. That is a bit of a trip, I had to use my hearthstone to get back to Dalaran then run over to the portals in Dalaran and take the portal back to Shattrath, then I flew over to Old Man Barlo to hand in the Baby Crocolisk in exchange for a Bag of Fishing Treasures.

Today her Bag of Fishing Treasures had 6g58s18c, 4 Sharpened Fish Hooks a Piece of Polished Driftwood and Muckbreath's Bucket. This is another version of the baby crocolisk pet. Now I have 3 of them, Toothy's Bucket, Snarly's Bucket and Muckbreath's Bucket. I am getting stocked up on pets just from fishing.

Infused Mushroom Meatloaf - Daily Cooking 2/18/10

Today when I went to see Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, she had Infused Mushroom Meatloaf for the daily cooking quest. I did this on Wranngar, Gomorra and Brieanna.

This had me heading down into the sewers below Dalaran to pick some Infused Mushrooms. I had no problem finding the 4 I needed on each, no one else was doing it at the time. From there it was back up top to hit the bank and grab a couple pieces of Chilled Meat to cook it up with.

I cooked it right in the bank then headed over to deliver it to Orton Bennet, upstairs at Curiosities and Moore. He is right across the plaza from the bank I use so it is a pretty quick trip. I exchanged the meatloaf with him for gold and rewards.

Today Wranngar got 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 3 Northern Spices and 3 Old Spices in it.

Gomorra got 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 3 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it.

Brieanna got 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 4 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it.

Level 80! 2/17/10

Brieanna hit level 80 today. She reached level 70 in 11 total days played and level 80 in 15 total days played. Days played are just what they sound like, 24 hour days. I think if I didn't bother leveling up professions and secondary skills, and didn't screw around in the battlegrounds, I could have done it in 10 days played or less. I didn't use any type of leveling mods with her.

Gomorra, my first character, hit level 70 in 49 total days played. What a difference in time.

Wranngar, my second character, hit level 70 in 23 days played. Quite a difference between him and Gomorra, and quite a difference between him and Brieanna.

I was able to equip the couple pieces of PvP gear I had been able to get plus the new gun and a cape Wranngar made for her so she is not completely ungeared but is definitely under geared. That's ok, now it's time to spend some time in the battlegrounds. She already has a little under 20,000 honorable kills. I really like fighting in the battlegrounds on her with the ranged weapons she has.

She has her two primary professions, Skinning and Herbalism, at 450. For her secondary professions she has Cooking at 450, First Aid at 450 and her fishing is at 370, need to work on that some more. Her riding skill is 300, she can pilot any type of land or flying mount, with the exception of the Helicopter which requires Engineering and Magic Carpet which requires Tailoring.

Daily Fishing - Monsterbelly Appetite 2/16/10

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had Monsterbelly Appetite for our daily fishing quest. I did it on Wranngar, Gomorra and Brieanna.

This had me taking the flight path to Unu'pe in the Borean Tundra. Once there I flew out to the icebergs to find a school of Deep Sea Monsterbelly to fish from. I didn't have any problem finding a school today and got my Bloated Monsterbelly in a few casts. I cut that open (looted) and got the Severed Arm I was after out of it.

I headed back to see Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange in Dalaran and give her the Severed Arm in exchange for a Bag of Fishing Treasures. She is going to attempt to reunite the arm with the fisherman who lost it. I say good luck with that, she must be a miracle worker.

Today Wranngar's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 9g92s99c, 3 Pygmy Oil, a New Age Painting signed by Marcia Chase, which I sold to a vendor for 25 gold, 4 Deviate Fish and a Runic Mana Potion. I have been hanging on to the Deviate Fish lately instead of selling them because I can get 25 gold a stack for Savory Deviate Delight, which Gomorra has the recipe for, on the auction house. Wrann made out pretty good today.

Gomorra's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 10g7s15c, 3 Pygmy Oil, a Whale Statue, which I sold to a vendor for 11 gold, and 4 Deviate Fish. Gom made out alright today.

Brieanna's Bag of Fishing Treasures had8g31s91c, a Glow Worm and an Unusual Compass in it. Not a great day of fishing for Brieanna today.

Cheese for Glowergold - Daily Cooking 2/16/10

Today when I went to see Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, for the daily cooking quest, she had Cheese for Glowergold for us. This used to be one of my least favorite but, after doing Convention at the Legerdemain almost every day for 2 weeks straight, it has gone up a little in my estimation. It doesn't use any of my mats and Convention at the Legerdemain uses 4 pieces of Chilled Meat a day times 3 characters. I did this one on Wranngar, Gomorra and Brieanna today.

This one had me running around Dalaran picking up Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses. All of them got at least 3 today before ever leaving A Hero's Welcome, Wranngar got 5 there. I found the rest between Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly and One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop. I also got the piece of Aged Dalaran Limburger I needed at One More Glass. When I had the 6 Half Full Dalaran Wine Glasses and the Aged Dalaran Limberger I combined them on the platter that was supplied to me by right clicking on it, then delivered it to Ranid Glowergold (36,28) at the Leatherworkers in the Magus Commerce Exchange.

Today Wranngar got 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 3 Northern Spices and 4 Old Spices in it.

Brieanna got 5g30s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 3 Northern Spices, 3 Old Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it.

Gomorra got 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 5 Northern Spices, 5 Old Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it.

Some made out better than others, but everyone made out Ok on this one today.

I Smell a Giant Rat

I was leveling Brieanna's fishing skill today in the Underbelly, on the dock at Cantrips and Crows Tavern, when I caught a Giant Sewer Rat. I have been trying to catch one of those on Wranngar and Gomorra (who have 450 fishing skill) for months now, and Brieanna gets one with her 365 fishing skill. This gave me the achievement I Smell A Giant Rat but more importantly it gave me a Giant Sewer Rat pet.

This is one of the rare pets that usually takes a long time to get. I can't even count the hours I have spent on Wranngar and Gomorra trying to get this pet, but it has been a lot. So far out of all my characters Brieanna has had the best luck fishing. In her first two days of doing the Shattrath daily fishing quest she got Toothy's Bucket and Snarly's Bucket. In her first week of doing the daily fishing quest in Dalaran she got a Bone Fishing Pole and she has also gotten other great rewards from both. Every day when she does the daily fishing in Dalaran I expect to see a Jeweled Fishing Pole in her Bag of Fishing Treasures.

Daily Fishing - Jewel of the Sewers 2/15/10

Today the daily fishing quest I got from Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, was Jewel Of The Sewers. I like this one, there is no travel time. I did it on Wranngar, Gomorra and Brieanna.

This had me heading down into the sewers, to my spot in the Black Market. I caught the piece of Corroded Jewelry I was after pretty quick on Wranngar, 6 casts, and Gomorra, 9 casts, but Brieanna had some trouble, taking 14 casts to get hers. She is still a lowbie when it comes to fishing though so you have to expect that I guess.

Once I had the piece of Corroded Jewelry I headed back up top to go hand it in to Marcia. She gave us a Bag of Fishing Treasures for our efforts.

Today Wranngar's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 8g93s45c, a Northsea Pearl, a Unusual Compass and 3 Deviate Fish in it. Nothing to write home about there.

Gomorra's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 9g65s95c, 3 Pygmy Oil and a Diamond-tipped Cane in it. He wasn't bragging too much either.

Brieanna's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 7g89s48c, 3 Pygmy Oil, 2 Worthless Pieces of White Glass and a Waterlogged Recipe in it. Waterlogged Recipe starts a quest to bring the recipe to Christi Stockton, the wine vendor at One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop in Dalaran. She gives you 13g23s and 5 Dalaran Cooking Awards for it if you are level 80. Brieanna got 7g40s and 5 Dalaran Cooking Awards because she is only level 78. Brieanna got bragging rights today with that haul.

Infused Mushroom Meatloaf - Daily Cooking 2/15/10

Today when I went to see Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, the daily cooking quest she gave me for Wranngar, Gomorra and Brieanna was Infused Mushroom Meatloaf. A nice quick one that doesn't use up all my mats.

I didn't have any problem getting the 4 I needed today, I didn't see anyone else doing it while I was picking them. When I had those in hand I headed back up to the bank and grabbed 2 pieces of Chilled Meat, the rest of the ingredients, to cook them up with. I built a fire and cooked my meatloaf.

After that I took the meatloaf over and delivered it to Orton Bennet, upstairs at Curiosities and Moore. Curiosities and Moore is right across the plaza from the bank I use so it is a pretty short trip to get there. I traded the meatloaf for 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag.

Today Wranngar's Small Spice Bag had 3 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it, Wrann made out Ok today.

Gomorra's Small Spice Bag had 2 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it, he made out Ok today too.

Brieanna's Small Spice Bag had 4 Northern Spices and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it, so everyone made out Ok today.

Daily Fishing - The Ghostfish 2/14/10

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had The Ghostfish for our daily fishing quest. I did this one on Wranngar, Gomorra and Brieanna today. This is another easy one but a long trip, the longest of all the daily fishing quests.

This one had me taking the flight path out to River's Heart in Sholazar Basin. Once there I flew up to my spot, above and northeast of the flight point. Once there it didn't take me long at all to get my Phantom Ghostfish, a lot less time than it took me to get there. Once I caught it I ate it right away, it is on a timer and if you don't eat it within 60 seconds it will disappear. When you eat it, it puts you into a state called Invisibility, sort of a surreal world. The Phantom Ghostfish looks a lot like a Pygmy Suckerfish so you want to pay attention so you don't miss it.

I flew back to Dalaran and told Marcia what I discovered and she gave us each a Bag of Fishing Treasures.

Today Wranngar's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 9g93s91c, 5 Pygmy Oil and 2 Pieces of Worthless Red Glass. Not a great day of fishing for Wrann.

Gomorra's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 6g14s86c, 3 Pygmy Oil and 3 Solid Gold Coins, he made out a little better than Wrann.

Brieanna's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 9g63s72c, 5 Pygmy Oil and 3 Pieces of Worthless White Glass, she didn't make out too well either.

Convention at the Legerdemain - Daily Cooking 2/14/10

Today when I went to see Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, for the daily cooking quest she had Convention at the Legerdemain for us. I did this one on Wranngar, Gomorra and Brieanna. This one is getting old, it takes 12 pieces of Chilled Meat every day to do it on all 3, it is burning through my supplies.

Anyway, this one had me running over to the bank to grab 4 pieces of Chilled Meat to make the 4 Northern Stew this calls for, then heading over to One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop in Dalaran, to grab a Jug of Wine. I found the wine on all 3 pretty quick today, didn't seem like anyone else was doing it at the time.

I delivered the wine and stew to Arille Azuregaze, the bartender at The Legerdemain in exchange for gold and rewards. The Legerdemain is right across the road from the wine and cheese shop so it is a pretty quick trip.

Today Wranngar got 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 3 Northern Spices in it. Not a great day for Wrann.

Gomorra got 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 2 Northern Spices and 5 Baby Spice in it. Not a really great day for Gom either.

Brieanna got 5g10s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 3 Northern Spices in it. It is safe to say no one had a good day with the cooking rewards today.

Today Marcia Chase (53,65), by the fountain in Dalaran, had Monsterbelly Appetite for our daily fishing quest. This one works out well for Brieanna because she can go right from there and do her daily quests for The Kalu'ak. I did this one on Wranngar, Gomorra and Brieanna today.

This one had me taking the flight path down to Unu'pe. From there I flew out to the icebergs you can see from shore and looked around for a school of Deep Sea Monsterbelly to fish from for the Bloated Monsterbelly I needed to catch. You don't need to fish from a school but it goes a lot quicker if you do. Sometimes I can't find a school so I just fish the open water, I get what I'm after but it takes longer. Once I caught a Bloated Monsterbelly I cut it open and got out the Severed Arm this quest is looking for.

I took the severed arm back to Olisarra the Kind, (36,37) the Grand Master First Aid Trainer in the Magus Commerce Exchange in Dalaran and exchanged it for a Bag of Fishing Treasures. She is going to attempt to reattach the arm to the fisherman who lost it.

Today Wranngar's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 10g94s74c, 4 Pygmy Oil, a New Age Painting signed by Marcia Chase and a Waterlogged Recipe. Waterlogged Recipe starts a quest. The quest is to take it over to Christi Stockton, the wine vendor at One More Glass, the wine and cheese shop in Dalaran. She gave me 13g23s and 5 Dalaran Cooking Awards for it. Not a bad deal and a pretty good day of fishing for Wrann.

Gomorra's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 10g53s89c, 5 Pygmy Oil, a Diamond-tipped Cane, 2 Deviate Fish, a Runic Mana Potion and a Waterlogged Recipe in it. Not a bad day of fishing for Gom either.

Brieanna's Bag of Fishing Treasures had 10g32s71c, a Glow Worm, a New Age Painting signed by Marcia Chase which vendors for 25 gold, 3 Deviate Fish and a Waterlogged Recipe. The only difference for the Waterlogged Recipe for Brieanna is she only gets 7g40s as she also gets experience form it due to her level. All in all a pretty good day of fishing for everyone today.

Sewer Stew - Daily Cooking 2/13/10

Today when I went to see Katherine Lee (41,65), the Grand Master Cooking Trainer in the kitchen of A Hero's Welcome, she had Sewer Stew for the daily cooking quest. This is the only daily cooking quest you have to leave Dalaran to do, assuming you keep some meat on hand for the daily's. I did this one on Wranngar, Gomorra and Brieanna today.

This one had me taking the Violet Gate down to Crystalsong Forest to pick Infused Mushrooms, the recipe calls for 4. It didn't take me long today, I only saw one other person picking them and that was when I did it on Wranngar. Once I had the 4 I needed I headed back up to Dalaran and got some Chilled Meat out of the bank. I made a fire and cooked up my stew right there in the bank.

I took that down and delivered it to Ajay Green at the Cantrips and Crows Tavern in the Underbelly in exchange for cash and prizes. The only one who can get anything other than the Spices and Awards is Brieanna as she hasn't gotten all the recipes yet.

Today Wranngar got 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 4 Northern Spices, 5 Baby Spice and another Dalaran Cooking Award in it. Not a bad day for Wrann.

Gomorra got 9g93s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 4 Northern Spices in it. Not too much there.

Brieanna got 4g80s, a Dalaran Cooking Award and a Small Spice Bag with 2 Northern Spices in it. Not too much there either.
