Wranngar 1/4/09

I played Wranngar some tonight. I did the daily cooking in Dalaran, the daily cooking and fishing in Outlands, The Knights of the Ebon Blade daily's and then went exploring. I got all of Eastern Kingdoms opened up. I am now working on Kalimdor. I spent a long time in the Barrens last night trying to open that up then I finally found what I was missing. I will do my daily's tomorrow and then continue exploring.

Wranngar 1/2-1/3/09

I only did the daily cooking on Wranngar on the 2nd, it was all I had time for. Today I did the daily cooking, the Knights of the Ebon Blade daily's, a daily at K3 and 3 EoS battles, all losses. The Alliance is not doing too well after all in EoS from what I saw. I am going to check it out tomorrow early in the day and see if it is any better. I also did a lot of farming for meat and got a bunch of leather. I have 2 Dalaran Cooking Award's, I will get my 3rd one tomorrow and get another recipe. I cooked up 13 Great Feast today and only got one point in cooking for it :(. My cooking is now 421 and I need 4 more before I can get the 425 skill recipes which will be brown to me so I will get a skill point off each thing I cook for awhile. I got my Leatherworking to 420 and went and got some more training. I will work on that some more tomorrow too. I got a lot of leather while farming the ingredients for the Great Feast and that will come in handy.

Wranngar 1/1/09

I played Wranngar tonight. I did 2 more AV's, both losses and 3 EoS, 1 win and 2 losses. EoS wasn't bad and I think we are doing good overall in there, 3 battles is not really a huge sampling. In one AV we were at Drek and were ready to take him down but people were a little scattered. Then people were running in one at a time and getting killed. Also the Horde had Frostwolf Graveyard so they we running into the Keep, getting killed, rezzing right down the road and running back in. It was a little dysfunctional on our part. The other one was a loss where we didn't really have anything. Eye of the Storm was a little better, we got beat 3 towers to 1 in 2 of the battles but we had our win by us holding 3 towers and running the flag. So I think when you get good groups together you can still win often in EoS. I also picked up Reins of the Armored Brown Bear which is a cool looking bear mount. I got it from a guy on the street in Dalaran for 750 gold. I thought it was fitting for a Druid to be riding a bear mount. I got my 3rd Dalaran Cooking Award I needed for another recipe and got Recipe: Hearty Rhino. I cooked some of that up and got my cooking to 417. That is coming along slowly but surely. 425 is the next level of recipes so they will all be green until then. I also did the daily cooking and fishing in Shattrath but didn't get anything out of the ordinary from that.

Wranngar 12/31/08

I did the Dalaran daily cooking quest today on Wranngar and then went exploring. Almost all the maps I had open all of a sudden had places I hadn't explored. So I rediscovered Burning Stepps, Loch Modan, Dun Morogh, Wetlands, Badlands and the list goes on and on. I have almost all of the Eastern Kingdoms discovered and might finish it up tomorrow. Then I have to do Kalimdor and finish North Rend. I only need one more Dalaran Cooking Award and I can get another recipe which I will get tomorrow.

Wranngar 12/30/08

I played Wranngar for a little while tonight, I did my daily cooking in Dalaran and also did the daily cooking and fishing in Shattrath & Terokkar Forest. I got my third Dalaran Cooking Award so I was able to get Recipe: Mega Mammoth Meal. It gives me +80 Attack Power and +40 Stamina for 60 minutes. After that I did 3 Alterac Valley battles, all losses. The Alliance is doing really, really bad in AV lately. It is some of the worst playing I have ever seen. In the 3 battles today we captured IBT once. That was it. One tower in 3 battles. We never even got Galv. The only thing anyone seems to be interested in is the kill 50 Horde defending Vann Accomplishment. So 7 battles later I still don't have my daily from yesterday done :(. One of the problems is the battles are starting way off balance. We are starting with 20 players and the horde are starting with 40. 10 minutes into the last battle we were only up to 27 people against 39. I think I will see how we are doing in EoS tomorrow. Hopefully we are doing better in there than we are in AV. I think part of the problem is people are busy leveling and not doing the battlegrounds. Usually when you join AV there is at least a page of battles to choose from, lately there have been one or two and yesterday none. That one took me a full 3 minutes to get into one. I always choose "First Available" when I join. AFK is completely out of control in AV too, with at least 1/4 of the people in there doing nothing at all.

Wranngar 12/29/08

I got Wranngar to level 80 today. I hit 80 at 4:14PM Eastern time on 12/29/08. I ran out of quests and I ended up hitting 80 doing the dailys in Icecrown. I went and got my training which ran me close to 200 gold, used my talent point then headed to Storm Peaks to do some skinning. I got enough leather to make another Inscription bag which I sent to a guild member who could use it. That gave me another point in Leatherworking, my skill is now 418. I will work on that some more. Right now I am just happy to have finally gotten to 80. If I get back on later I am going to hit the battlegrounds, I have been waiting a long time to get back into them. After that I will probably work on Wrangar.

Update: I did some battlegrounds on Wranngar tonight. I fought in 4 AV's, all losses. It is also the daily battleground today. The Alliance was doing really bad in all 4 battles. We only had one battle where we were in Frostwolf Keep and ready to down Drek but the Horde got Vann first. In the other 3 we lost on reinforcements defending the cave. I got 76 kills and around 1200 honor so it wasn't too bad. It just felt soooo good to be back in the battlegrounds :). I am interested in winning right now though because I need honor. After that I went and did some exploring. I have all of Outlands explored and got the Achievement for that, now I am working on Azeroth. After that I will have to do Kalimdor and I will have Eastern Kingdoms done. All that will leave is North Rend. I have about half of that explored. Once I have all of those explored I will get the title: Explorer.

Wranngar 12/28/08

I got Wranngar to level 79 today. The quests seem to be really thinning out. All of level 79 is rested. I leveled in Icecrown while questing there. I thought I would be farther along than I am at this point. I went to Stormwind and got my training done, then used my talent point. I got my first aid to 450 so I have been sending the cloth I get to my cloth bank to hang on to for Wrangar and Gomorra when they need it. I am going to take a break for awhile but plan on getting back on and shooting for 80 tonight.

Update: I played Wranngar some more tonight and I have less than 8 bars to level 80. I will hit 80 tomorrow. I found some more quests around Storm Peaks so I should be able to hit it pretty quick in the morning. The quests are still pretty easy, I have been soloing all the ones that are not group quests. I have some group quests I will have to get done but it is not a high priority. If I see someone in chat looking for a group I will join but I think I can get to 80 without them.

Wranngar 12/27/08

I got Wranngar to level 78 today. As a matter of fact I have him half way through 78 and it's all rested. I think I have a good chance of hitting 80 tomorrow. It depends on how much of 79 is rested. I was questing in Icecrown and it was some more pretty easy stuff. I ran out of quests there but, when I was selling stuff at the vendor, I found a couple items in my bag that started quests there so I will go back and do them. I was questing in the Storm Peaks after I ran out of quests in Icecrown. A bunch of easy quests there too. I will probably spend the rest of my time leveling to 80 in Storm Peaks and Icecrown. I went to Stormwind and did my training when I leveled and used my talent point. I am going to really look at my talents when I hit 80 and see if I need to repsec at all. I also got my first aid to 450 so I am done with that. I can start saving the cloth for Wrangar's first aid and Gomorra's tailoring and first aid. I am still wearing all my level 70 PvP gear and not having a problem questing at all.

Wranngar 12/26/08

I played Wranngar for a while tonight and am now 2 bars away from level 78. I have a couple days off starting day after tomorrow so I will hit 80 then, no problem. I am still wearing all my level 70 PvP gear which some of my friends find pretty amusing. It is still working out well for me so why change it. I was questing in Icecrown again tonight and haven't got a quest yet I was unable to do solo. I still have some of the better quest reward gear so I might try that on and see what it does for me. I figured to start really saving the better stuff from the last 2 levels, 78 & 79. I can also make some pretty nice blue DPS gear so I will see what I can come up with. I am looking forward to hitting 80 and getting back into the battlegrounds. When I am well geared from that I will start doing arena. Once I get a full arena set I will get back into the battlegrounds and work on my 100,000 kills. I am sure I will be doing battlegrounds while I am doing arena anyway. I did the daily fishing and cooking quests today but forgot to check and see if I got credit for them.

Christmas 12/25/08

I played Wranngar for a little bit tonight. I did the daily quests but for some reason it say's I have not done and daily's consecutively today so I don't know what is up with that, I know I have done the same quests the last 4 or 5 days. I will keep doing them I guess and keep a closer eye on it. I was questing in Icecrown tonight. I picked up the quest to go there in Dalaran. I got a few quests there and there are a few more I can get so I might just start questing there, good XP. I was questing earlier in the Storm Peaks and have a few quests there I can do too. I have 7 rested bars to go to level 78 so I will probably get that done tomorrow.

Christmas Eve 12/24/08

I didn't really play tonight, I did log into all my characters and collect the gifts left under the tree by Greatfather Winter. Seeing Greatfather Winter is located in Ironforge I had to get all of them there. I got a bunch of good gifts on them so it was worth it. I did do the daily fishing and cooking quests on Wranngar but didn't get anything really good. I also sent everyone in my guild that logged in during the last week 100 gold as a Christmas present. Seeing as there are only 19 people in my guild, I am 5 of them and not everyone logged in during the last week, it only cost me 500 gold so that wasn't too bad :). Merry Christmas everyone.

Wranngar 12/23/08

I played Wranngar some more tonight. I got him to about the half way point. I was questing in Sholazar Basin. I did a few easy quests that gave some pretty good XP but then it was getting late so I had to log off. Hopefully I will get to level 78 tomorrow. I was toying with the idea of doing some battlegrounds when I hit 76 but then I wanted to get to 77 so I could fly in North Rend, now I think I will wait until 80 to do battlegrounds. I like being at the top of the food chain in the battlegrounds :). I also did the daily cooking and fishing quests today but didn't get anything exciting from them. I think tomorrow is the last day I need to do them before I get the Achievement for doing a daily 5 consecutive days.

Wranngar 12/22/08

I got Wranngar to 77 this morning. Now I can fly in North Rend. That is a relief. You don't know how useful something is until it's gone. I was questing in Sholazar Basin from the Nesingwary Base Camp. A lot of pretty easy quests including one where I had to ride a Mamoth and kill some Dragon Queen. I hate quests where you have to use something else to fight. Usually you can't control it and the weapons/attacks they give you don't seem to work too well. This one was the exception. The quest was Post-partum Aggression and it took me 2 tries to get it done. The first time I did it I figured out what I needed to do and the second time I did it I got it done easily. I had to summon Helmut Nesingwary to help me kill the thing. He was laying down traps and all I really had to do was keep luring it over them, they did the most damage. I would smack it once in awhile to keep it interested but mostly just ran it over the traps. That got me really close, then I cleaned up a couple other quests that were a little scattered and that got me to 77. I paid my 1,000 gold and got my "Cold Weather Flying Training" done, did my Druid training, used my talent point and then did the daily fishing and cooking quests. Didn't really get anything good from those, got some fish from the cooking. I will probably have some more time to get on and play later so maybe I can get half way to 78. All of 78 is rested except for less than half a bar. The first quest I get done will push that over the edge.

Update: I played Wranngar for a little bit more tonight but didn't get back on as early as I had hoped. I got another 4 bars of XP and all the rest of level 78 is rested. I am still questing in Sholazar Basin and will probably quest there until they run out. I did a few quests and they were pretty easy, even easier now that I am flying there. I will try to work on him some more tomorrow but I also want to work on Wrangar who is only 2 levels away from North Rend and 4 levels away from flight.
