2 Years - WoW - 12/01/08

December 1st is the 2 year anniversary of the first time logged into World of Warcraft. I was on a 10 day trial account. My first character was a Warrior named Durgan. I got him to level 19 then saw the Warlock mounts, the Felsteed and Dreadsteed, and decided I had to have one of those. That was when I started Gomorra. I leveled him to 70 and then just played him for awhile, I wasn't interested in making another character. Eventually I got interested in Druids and decided to try one out. That was when I made Wranngar. I leveled him to 70 with a friend Axeelina. Since then I spent a lot of time in the battlegounds on Wranngar, eventually getting over 50,000 lifetime kills. Now I am working on leveling Wranngar and my Deathknight Wrangar to 80. I am going to let Gomorra sit for awhile, I think, until I get both of those to 80.

Battlegrounds 6/27/08

The daily battleground today was Alterac Valley. I did it on Wranngar and we won the first one I was in. We rushed FWGY, then backtracked and got TP and IBT while some went forward to get FWRH and the East and West Towers. After we had TP and IBT we went and killed Galv for extra honor. We waited until all the towers had capped along with FWRH then we moved in and killed Drek, a pretty smooth run and having capped everything we got maximum honor. We seemed to be doing ok in AV today so I stayed for 15 more battles, we won 7 more and lost 8 for a total of 8 wins and 8 losses for the day. 50% is not bad for the Alliance in AV in our battlegroup, as a matter of fact it is pretty good. We had a lot of AFK as is to be expected after they released Season 2 for honor. For the most part the strategies that seemed to be working best were rushing FWGY, rushing FWRH and even rushing IBGY and moving on from there. As long as we all worked together we had no problem winning and in one battle the Horde had nothing capped, not even a graveyard, they were rezzing in their cave. We won a few of our battles on reinforcements but for the most part won by killing Drek. The Horde won about half of theirs by killing Vann and the rest on reinforcements. We did have a few turtles, mostly when people went for Galv first which usually causes the offense to get wiped out. Everybody, usually the ones going for Galv at the start, says you only need 5 to take down Galv and that is true but when you look while they are doing it there are no less than 10 in there and usually around 15. There was the usual stupidity of people hanging onto SHGY causing the Horde to rez right in offenses face and keeping them from moving forward. If you can get SHGY AFTER you cap IBGY and FWGY then by all means do so as it will really hold the Horde back from moving forward but you don't hold it from the start, aside from a little resistance to slow the Horde down, because it keeps us from moving forward. All in all I had a good time in there and got a bunch of honor and kills. Axeelina even came in and fought in a couple of them with me. I also ended up with 32 Alterac Valley Mark of Honor most of which I had to delete out of my mail as I am back up to 100 after buying my Merciless Gladiator's Maul the other day.

Daily's 6/22/08

I did some daily's today, I did the cooking and fishing on both Wranngar and Gomorra and I also did Gaining the Advantage on Wranngar and Sunfury Attack Plans, Ata'mal Armaments, Blast the Gateway and Blood for Blood on Gomorra. Yonezoe did those 4 with me and then logged onto Axeelina and did the daily cooking with Gomorra. The daily cooking today was Soup for the Soul again, I got the mats I needed from the guild vault for Wranngar, Gomorra and Axeelina and we headed over to the Ancestral Grounds (25,59) in Nagrand and cooked up our soup. When I turned that in to The Rokk (61,15) in Shattrath I picked Crate of Meat as my reward on both, starting tomorrow I will be picking Barrel of Fish for the whole week. Wranngar got 8 pieces of Serpent Flesh, 8 pieces of Warped Flesh and a Large Hoof while Gomorra got 8 pieces of Warped Flesh, 8 pieces of Buzzard Meat and a Hunting Knife. Not much good in either of those rewards but I believe I have gotten all the recipes on both now so the meat and fish is really all I have to look forward to unless they have some seasonal recipes or add more. Then I headed over to Old Man Barlo (40,59) at Silmyr Lake in Terokkar Forest and got the daily fishing quest which was Felblood Fillet. I flew over to the Pools of Aggonar (39,37) in Hellfire Peninsula on Wranngar to catch my Monstrous Felblood Snapper and took Gomorra to Shadowmoon Valley (40,59) to catch his. I turned them in for my Bag of Fishing Treasures and Wranngar got 6g82s60c, 4 Sharpened Fish Hooks and 2 pieces of Salvaged Scrap Metal. Gomorra got 7g17s94c, 4 Sharpened Fish Hooks and a Razor Sharp Fillet Knife which I sold to a vendor for 4 gold and some silver. Not a great day for rewards today, better luck tomorrow.

Daily Cooking 6/13/08

Today's cooking quest was Super Hot Stew. I did it on Wranngar while I was helping Yonezoe in Blades Edge. I got all the meat I needed while helping her kill Raptors and Wind Serpents for quests she had. When she had to take a break to do something on Axeelina I cooked the meat and flew over to Forge Camp Terror, killed an elemental and cooked my stew over it's carcass. When I turned it in I got the Barrel of Fish for my reward along with the 7g59s this quest pays. The Barrel of Fish had 4 Golden Darter, 5 Zangarian Sporefish, an Enormous Barbed Gill Trout and a Fisherman Knife, nothing too good today and no new recipe :(. Better luck tomorrow.

Daily's 6/12/08

I got all my Shattered Sun daily's done today. I did them on Wranngar with Axeelina. We got them done and turned in less than 5 minutes before the new day started so I can do them again if I want to. It didn't take us very long and there weren't too many people around which is always good because you don't have to wait for the mobs to respawn. I made around 120 gold there and got Glyph of the Gladiator from Eldara Dawnrunner the Shattered Sun Quartermaster. Glyph's are the only enchant you can do to a head slot item.

Sylventa II 5/28/08

I worked on Sylventa's first aid a little more today, she now has first aid skill of 225. I am not worried about leveling her right now because me and Axeelina will be leveling another set of characters as soon as she is done leveling Yonezoe and this is the one I am going to level. We leveled Wranngar and Axeelina together and it was a lot of fun and it is much easier to level with someone. Yonezoe is level 56 now so it will not be long until she reaches 70. I was on Wranngar last night farming a Blood Elf Bandit Mask for Sylventa when someone I lent some gold to happened to come on and say they had one. I told them I would knock 20 gold off their tab for it and they agreed so I was able to go to sleep, that worked out well for me :).

Daily Battleground 5/24/08

The daily battleground today was Arathi Basin. It was also Arathi Basin's holiday weekend which made it a lot harder. All the weekend warriors were out in full force. There was, of course, a lot of AFK and people that only do battlegrounds on the holiday weekends for the extra honor. I was in 3 battles and it was pretty bad. I did it on Wranngar and Jacedic was in both of them with me and Axeelina was in the second one. I ended up deserting out of the second battle because I got so aggravated by the poor performance of most of the players. I went back in a few hours later and we won that one. I think it is the last time I will do the daily battleground on it's holiday weekend. The daily battleground pays 11g99s and 419 honor, not worth the aggravation of doing it on a holiday weekend.

Battlegrounds 5/22/08

I fought in 4 Eye of the Storm battles today, we had 2 wins and 2 losses. I was on Wranngar and Axeelina joined me. We did pretty good in our two wins, we 3 capped and ran the flag. It was over pretty quick, the Horde didn't even hit 1,000 points. In the 2 we lost we had poor groups and a lot of AFK, AFK is still a big problem in all the battlegrounds.

Daily Battleground 5/22/08

Today's daily battleground was Arathi Basin. I did it on Wranngar with Axeelina. The Alliance was in pretty poor form today :(. It took 6 battles to get a win and the first 5 were really bad. There was no organization at all. We would go from a 4 cap to having no bases capped. People do not get the concept of defending, they claim a base and then they have to move on to the next one before it caps, leaving one if any to guard it. I left one battle (deserter), it was the 3rd time I have ever left a battle that I can remember. Anyway in the 6th battle we finally squeaked by with a win. The daily battleground pays 11g99s and 419 honor. Wranngar broke the 37,000 lifetime kill mark today so I was happy about that.

Yonezoe 5/10/08

I helped out Axeelina's alt Yonezoe today with Wranngar. We did some quests in Stranglethorn Vale and then went on to do some more in The Hinterlands. We got quite a few done, almost all of them were red, and she got a lot of XP. She leveled again to level 41 now. She got her level 40 riding mount today too :). She is has a wager with someone that she can reach 70 before they can so we are trying to get her leveled fast. Tomorrow I think we will do some more quests in The Hinterlands then go back to Stranglethorn Vale and finish up there then head off to Gadgetzan to do the quests she picked up for out there. Fortunately it was not that long ago that we did all these quests so they are pretty fresh.

Scarlet Monastery 5/9/08

I helped out Axeelina today with one of her alt's, Yonezoe, on Wranngar. We did a few runs through Scarlet Monastery for items for Yonezoe to disenchant. She made out pretty well, she got a lot of items and was able to lvl up her enchanting skill. We did one run through the Library, 2 runs through the Armory and 3 runs through the Cathedral. The best part of the runs for me were the flagged Horde outside the instances. I picked up 12 kills while I was there and I stopped at Thelsamore on the way there and killed a 70 Warlock and a 68 Mage a few times that were attacking it. I had 17 kills before I even entered a battleground :).

Southshore 5/8/08

Wranngar and Axeelina went to Southshore today because it was under attack by the Horde. We didn't make out too well. It started out with the 2 of us against a Warrior and Priest. It's hard to kill something that is getting healed constantly and it is hard to kill the healer when it is bubbled and you have someone beating on you. Eventually both sides got more players. The Horde came out on top on that one too. I had logged over to Gomorra during the battle and eventually logged back over to Wranngar because I got tired of feeding them kills they had us so outclassed. Our players were rezzing one at a time and getting picked off by groups of Horde, no one was listening, it was chaos.

Battleground's 5/8/08

I did a bunch of battlegrounds on Wranngar today. I did one AV, which we lost, and an AB which we also lost. Axeelina was in all of them with me. We also did 6 EoS, all of which we won :). The AV started off ok and it looked like we were making progress. We got TP & IBT capped and had IBGY for awhile. Then it seemed like the Horde just took off and overwhelmed our defense. We lost when the Horde killed Vann, I never even got to see Drek. We did one WSG, which was the daily, and we won that. The Alliance was owning in EoS though. We fought in 6 battles and won 6 battles. The closest one was 2000/1740. We really cleaned up on the others too. We had a couple 4 caps and I ran the flag quite a few times. I had a really good time and maxed out my Eye of the Storm Mark of Honor today, you can only have 100 at a time.

I went back into EoS one more time tonight and we won that one too. It was the Alliance's night in EoS :).

Daily Battleground 5/8/08

The daily battleground today was Warsong Gulch. I did it on Wranngar with Axeelina and a couple people from Axeelina's guild, K E K. We won the first battle 3/1. It wasn't too bad. I tried to run the flag a couple times but got cut down before I got more than half way back to our base. I was glad we won the first one because I hate WSG. This daily pay's 11g99s and 419 honor.

Daily's Wranngar 5/8/08

I did all my daily's on Wranngar today, Shattered Sun, Shadowmoon Valley, Throne of Kil'Jaeden, Blades Edge and Nagrand. Axeelina did the Outlands quests with me. All together I made a little over 350 gold today. I paid Axeelina the last 1,000 gold I owed her so I am all square and sending gold to the bank again :).

Daily's Gomorra 5/8/08

I did all the Shattered Sun daily's on Gomorra today, I'm not sure if I will go back later and do the Outlands quests on him or not. Axeelina showed up as I was finishing. The Shattered Sun quests are pretty easy and quick to do and I made around 100g for the little time it took me. I am starting to send gold to the bank again so that should start piling up :).

Shadow Labs 5/7/08

I was doing my daily battleground today on Wranngar when Axeelina asked me if I could help them in Shadow Labs. Shadow Labs is a dungeon in the Bone Wastes. They summoned me out of the battleground, which got me the deserter debuff :(. They were already pretty close to the last boss so we got right on him pretty quick. Our first attempt didn't work out too well for us, we wiped. I figured I would be better off on Gomorra as Axeelina was tanking and with Gomorra I could stay back farther and get out of range of the bosses AOE. It took us a couple more tries but we got him down. Then everyone wanted to do the daily heroic which was Heroic Mana Tombs. I couldn't do it because I don't have the key so I went back into the battlegrounds.

Daily's 5/6/08

I did my daily's on both Wranngar and Gomorra today. I did all of them on Wranngar and did the Shattered Sun, Throne of Kil'Jaeden and Shadowmoon Valley on Gomorra. Axeelina did the outlands quests with me on Wranngar and Jacedic did the Shadowmoon Valley one with us. All together I made about 450 gold. I am on track to pay Axeelina back in full tomorrow :).

Daily's 5/5/08

I did all my daily's on Wranngar today. Axeelina did a lot of the Outlands ones with me. We helped Jacedic with a couple things in Shadowmoon Valley. Jacedic hit level 70 today :). It is quite an accomplishment. I guess starting tomorrow he will be doing the daily's with us. I did all my Shattered Sun daily's on Gomorra. The daily battleground today was Warsong Gulch. I did it on Wranngar and it took me 4 battles before I got a win. Wasn't liking WSG today. All together I made a little over 400g.

General 5/5/08

I figured out what I will be doing with my gold, getting Gomorra's Jewelcrafting up to 375. I have slacked off on that long enough. The good thing about spending gold on that is the amount of gold I will be able to make once I reach 375. I have a lot of patterns I have gotten as drops plus a few others people have given me so I should be pretty well set there. Axeelina gave me a lot of gems as did another friend Aldure so I should have a good start once I hit 305 and can start cutting gems.
